Aemond completely gives the vibes of Daemon's son
The Targs were so inbred at this point, that genetically he was very close to being his son. I mean Viserys and Daemon were not just full brothers but also double first cousins and shared more than 50% of DNA, but smth around 70+.

This theory arises from the fact that both Ewan Mitchell (Aemond) and Matt Smith ( Daemon) look so similar in their targaryen getups. Plus the similarities in their characters being fierce and second sons.
In families whith a lot of brothers and sisters happens a lot, you can either have more similar features with your parents and even your uncles.
Also the names Aemond is just the D of Daemon at the end .
I mean, giving that the writers are changing so much of the source material they could've had just add this plotline 😂 GREAT edit!

I myself do not believe that Aemond is the son of a Daemon. I laugh at this theory. But for drama and to show an even greater and close connection of all the characters with each other.
This is just a theory.

I wouldn't be surprised if Daemon ended up being Aemond's father. I don't think Daemon and Alicent had an affair, most likely he r*ped her. It suits Damon's character. he is cruel, ruthless and merciless, sociopath and psychopath. He might have done it out of revenge. Daemon in the book robbed little girls of v*rginity.
And Helaeina's children are really Aemond's. Imagine how fucked up it will be when the truth is revealed. Aemond will go crazy. And how will Daemon react when he finds out that he killed his grandson. How screwed up is Daemon. He also enjoyed killing Jaehaerys.
After what horror awaits Alicent, when she and Helaeina, who hates being touched, are sent by Blacks and the "wh*re from Dragonstone" to a brothel to be rap*d there and get their bastards.
