  • In this video I go over my Citadel Boss 25 AR style 12 guage shotgun. My initial thoght in buying it was to use it for home defense, after getting some trigger time on it I came to the conclusion that this is not a good choice for home defense. I cover some of issues I had in this video. Overall it's a fun gun to shoot.

    Unboxed my Boss 25, fited 25 1500fps rounds with ZERO issues. After that I put 25 1350fps rounds with 1 issue with cycling on probably the 48th shot. I was very impressed, after reading some of the issues most ppl were having.

    Here's an update: at the range today. 120 rounds of Rio ammo 1300+. 9P and 9 shot. Only about 10 FTE's from about 8 magazines of 5 and 10. She's running smooth. The ftes were early in the game.

      @MultiSweener a lot of the feeding/extraction issues I was having were when I first got it, last time I shot it I don't recall having any problems

    Another tip to making these work great is to lock the bolt back for a month.

      Ok, stupid question time, I think I know the answer but I'm asking anyways;
      What's the purpose of doing that?

      @@Hoosieroutdoor1969 the springs in these guns are super tight. By leaving them locked back it seems to weaken them a bit.

      @bigbadjohnpesek9894 that's the answer I was expecting, personally i prefer loosening the spring(s) up the fun way😄.

    I love mag fed semi auto 12 gauges. I have the JTS AK 12 gauge. Only because im partial to AK's. Love it. Yours looks pretty cool to. But you might have your front sight on backwards. I think theyre supposed to both fold back.

      It's possible I put it on backwards, probably won't change it though since I have the "irons" zeroed, that wound explain why I had some trouble with the elevation when zeroing it

    Heres something eerily coincidental, today i was just function checking my magazines with snap caps and the 5 round ones were constantly jamming, while the 10 round Panzer Arms were smooth as silk. What did you do to the 5 round mags to improve the function? Thanks for sharing.

    Beauty of a beast in my opinion. What ammunition has worked for your shooting ?

      So far I've had good luck with slugs running 1600fps(Fetters) and some handloaded slugs

      HEVI STEEL 1500FPS birdshot. That's what I used to break in (25) after that I used Winchester 1350fps. All together (50 rounds) had 1 cycling issue on the 47th shot.

      @gonzalezgrant sounds like it may be seized, try locking the barrel in a vise and use some heat to loosen it, if that don't work you may want to take it to a gun smith, if you use a torch for heat be very careful you don't get the barrel to hot

    That bipod is half of the price of the shotgun 😂
