x3 Police scrambler bikes responding in London

- x3 BMW F700 GS responding with lights and siren in London. There are currently only 4 of these bikes with the Metropolitan Police which were introduced in October 2017 to help them chase criminals on mopeds.

Ah, the BMW GS. Excellent. They're perfect really.
Only the Paramedic bikers really need the R1200RT tourers as they have a lot of space for the kit, but the GS is perfect for the Police as they're light, slim and tall which makes it super flickable and swift for filtering between traffic, yet still being very comfortable
Ah, that's when ya know them moped thieves are fucked. I'm finally glad the Metropolitan Police Service are showing changes towards the way they tackle moped crime. A much more efficient and effective way.
Anon _rah indeed, but only 4 for the whole capital isn't great! At least they're slowly trying to combat the new style of modern thieves

It wasn’t the Scorpion units. It was the old NI based Venice units, before Scorpion was a thing.

I do around 23,000 miles in Central London a year , to this day the only police bikes I've seen were out with politicians or royalty and on the side of the road with a speed camera making money for the politicians or royalty. My guess is they were off to chase someone driving with an expired MOT.
