This is one of Emory Tate's greatest victories in chess!! I saw quite a few of you in the comments of my last one asking for more so here you are. If you want to see more deep dives into Emory Tate's games then let me know in the comments. Thanks for watching as always and don't forget to leave a like if you enjoyed and subscribe if you're new
Also, there's a small mistake, when I refer to fianchettoing the bishop in the 'najdorf', I meant Dragondorf! - Zábava
The fact that most your generation is making tik tok dances and you are making content like this about chess says alot about you and the way you were raised well done man keep it up you got a new fan here for sure
What unmatched perspicacity coupled with sheer indefatigability does to a mf
I feel like most generations when they are young can be described as inane by the older generations since most younger generations feed into new things that older generations are not used to and most young people are not exactly into doing “boring” things even if they are productive and we shouldn’t pin it all on gen z because all generations have done something like that in their youth it’s simply a phase
Just remember that there are 8 billion people living in this world. There is room for everyone.
You should be ashamed of yourself for posting such a brain-dead comment. It's ridiculous that people with fully developed brains act like this.
What does it say about the way he was raised? Lol
"My unmatched perspicacity coupled with sheer indefatigability makes me a feared opponent in any realm of human endeavour" - Emory Tate
yeah its so cap that he said that tho
@@KouwMC it’s believable
@@KouwMC u just don't meet intelligent people often do you?
@@DazoDer it's not at all intelligent
@@mathematicalmonk1427 no you’re not
What I like about Emory's style is that he doesn't mind being behind in pieces because he understands position.
You are a genius dude. Your ability to explain this in a simple, clear, and concise manner is genius. Keep it up and keep it simple.
genius is a bit of a stretch lad hahaha. I'll take it though, thank you very much
@@willtaylorchess lolllll
@@willtaylorchess no problem. I just learned the game a week ago and you’ve given me so much insight. In addition to your clear dialogue, the way you have it setup and how you map things out makes it so easy to follow and understand. You’re actually trying to teach instead of showing off how much you know. I commend that.
ye he should deserve MORE followers just incredible game btw
@@willtaylorchess I agree with him, this was amazing, to someone who started playing less than a month ago and I still understand it quite well. Amazing / thanks!
Insane game honestly, much respect to Emory for being able to win like this against one of the best players.
Yes Jake, my g. He was an insane player
Jake, Andrew tate is going to beat you in the fight be ready
insane is a massive understatement
he is not one of the best players he is not close to that he is an IM that is respectable but hes only top 20k in the world the best players are super gms and he is not one of them
@@me2468 no its an overstatement
Imagine no heart attack - vlogs with Emory and Andrew squaring up against each other, Tristan getting smacked for boozing, etc
Thank you for explaining in such a concise manner. The Tate bloodline is truly something special
Wtf lol
@@popdop0074😂😂
Divk ride much
Look at all these haters with weak blood hate on your comment
Yeah Will! I’m new to chess but I’m enjoying the process of improving and your tate content helps me a lot with my game!
great to hear lad! I'll keep it coming
Very happy I discovered your channel, outstanding commentary, nice to hear a fellow Brit too. Subscribed!
This is 5x better than Gotham chess analysis of games. great video!
Excellent analysis of this fabulous game. I knew Emory personally and played many games of blitz with him. He even spent the night at my apartment one time. He was quite the character to put it mildly, very mildly. He did so much for chess, a lot for chess in the Black community. Thanks for keeping his memory alive with these engaging videos.
Absolutely love your breakdowns bro keep at it!
thank you my g, will do!!
I love your videos, it is so entertaining to see chess games analysis that teach you when you are starting and dont even know how pawns move ajaj. You got a new sub here keep it up with the tate videos
Love the gothamchess shoutout. My man always gives the up to smaller creators 👑
he needs the help growing his channel
@@willtaylorchess 1.96M subs vs 1.76k subs...yeah,he needs help growing his channel
@@nimzi4479man was obviously sarcastic...
This is an awesome video. GM games are insane to watch when a profesional is anyalizing the game play where you can dive into all of these different hypothetical lines it really highlights the emence amount of thinking and complexities that go into every single move at this level.
thank you bro, that's what I'm trying to show!!
Just discovered your channel bro, absolutely love your style of video, gonna blow up for sure
thank you bro, I appreciate that highly
7:37, jesus this is wild
I know right?!
really great breakdowns, great channel
Extraordinary game. His sons are proud of him.
His sons are flogs
and he must be ashamed of his
great breakdown. concise and clear way of explaining complex ideas by tate. thank you will!
BTW my mind was blown finding out that Andrew Tate is Emory's son. For the longest I couldn't quite process some of Andrew's "outlandish" behavior shall we say, but if you knew Emory like I had the privilege to, it starts to make sense. He was quite the character. So glad I had the chance to know and play Emory, he was and obviously still is a true legend.
You played tate?
@@ep-wz8fu I played Tate many blitz games. For a good while Tate traveled around the US to play in tournaments and would stay (more like crash) with his chess friends. That's how I met him. He'd play everybody, often give some crazy time odds, go over some of his latest tournament wins, and of course talk BIG trash with his "triple exclam!!!" type remarks while he was beating you. Then it would be on to the next city. Tate was a wild guy so this is the sanitized version.
That's awesome 👌
@@ighsight Im actually doing a report and study on Emory Tate, would you be kind enough to lend some time to maybe answer some questions and give insight to any memorable and personal stories I could site?
Great analysis!
excellent breakdown my G
Great stuff very well executed
I just subbed! Great content
man this video was so good!
great video and analysis keep up the good work!
you should keep going, it was very interesting the way you explained
Just installed chess app some days ago and have been playing the tutoriais and offline and found your channel. You explain well and i love that you respect the TopOG 😄
Play online . I just got it too, u might lose the first couple games but it's really good at changing your lvl to match your skill you'll be matched with ppl of very close skill lvl
Check out ChessSimp, Eric Rosen, Daniel Naroditsky, and ChessVibes. They are fantastic content.
this just kept on consistently blowing my mind and really well explained
subbed. keep posting content
This was an extraordinary explanation of an extraordinary chess battle.
GREAT EXPLANATION. I learned more from this video about chess than anything else I had ever seen. Top G!
Subbed just because u analyzed a Super TOP Gees game
Excellent video bro🔥
g4 is a very aggressive move played my other attacking geniuses like Alexei Shirov. He plays it in many different openings. Really nice game, will be showing it to my students.
Also great game never heard of these guys before. Ty for the vid and introduction. You earned yourself a sub. ;)
You did so well will, I loved this you really explain this very well I just subscribed, I will watch every video you put out ❤️

You make game of chess so interesting. Keep up young boy
thank you my g for making more vids on tate.
no worries lad Emory was a genius
what a game. great video btw very informative for new players
Good job elaborating on every move 👍🏻
I used to play chess with Emory Tate. Rest In Peace Tate
Im actually doing a report on Tate about his early life and how his mind worked, if you wouldn't mind is there any personal or funny instances that you remember about Emory? I would greatly appreciate it
Awesome commentating. Gained a new subscriber mate!
Honestly a very good video ty
wow what an insane game, great review man
thank you bro!!
Great video. Subbed.
that horse and rook line blows my mind,
immensely humbling
That was enthralling
Hit that Algo good job
Wonderful video man thanks
thank you bro!!
great video young man
Damn. That game was so good! I'd have resigned right after that magical Bishop poping at the end. Respect to Emory and RIP. Legendary.
Impressive player, I like how he thought of his checks and always with his come backs. easily could have been a champion.
There are many champions, fewer legends, and rarer still are the immortals. Emory Tate is an immortal hero of chess.
Josh Waitzkin mentioned A player named Tate who plays super aggressive style in his chess tutorials in Chessmaster grandmaster edition (don't fully remember as I used the software when I was a kid )...
loved how you explained everything bro heaps good video
thank you my g
This is the best chess video I have ever seen.
Great content! I loved every second when u commentated. "Tated" hehe
That analysis defo deserves way more subs, you definitely earned mine tho, great vid
this game got me howling. chef kiss to this game

Great video and explanation, keep that work up and I'm a subscriber now😅
thank you bro, I'll try to hahaha
Crazy vid ❤
WTF? Ok this Emory Tate dude was a genius. He opposed intellect against study. All his moves are outrageous making a statement about no respect. I can imagine a guy that was much more intelligent than all these GMs but he lacked preparation so he was stuck at this IM limbo state. If this guy had determination he could be a world champion.
Yeah, sorry Magnus was just a monster bro. He could be gm maybe even too GM. Just world champion in chess is something he couldn’t reach. I mean take other geniuses like Hikaru and nepo. They’re prodigious from day 1 beating everybody from a young age and achieving a gm at like 13.
not even close to a worl champion no matter what...
@@DespotismBloxFruits I said he *could* be world champion, not he *would* be. Mate, you are responding to something I have not said.
@@ThrlPhlpp of course not even close. That's what I said. He is an IM. Maybe in a different universe his IQ could be focused on chess, but obviously he didn't.
@@ctsirkass He couldn’t be world champion though.
good video but you should do stockfish eval on the screen next time!
I have been playing and watching chess actively for the past 4 years, and haven't heard of Tate until one of your videos. Most surprising was that I had mistaken emory tate's profile pic (a thumbnail for another video) with that of mine(my recent one of course) in the first instance i saw it. Hopefully, I could play as good as him in the future.
I wanna see Tate brothers reaction to how this g is shining light on their fathers chess legacy
That was beautiful to watch.
Beauticul video felt as if I was in the audience
Thank you more ET chess videos please
I wish tate does a stream and sees this and admires it. I mean that’s clearly the sole purpose of this video
I don't think so bro I reckon he just respects the chess player of emory not Andrew
@@tobytaylor733 he isn't even problematic
@@tobytaylor733 isn't your logic kinda naive, I would assume he just did this to get views, not out of respect. He just clickbaited tate's surname
@@ok-sj7bx its not clickbait if it is in the video
@@icinnabon yeah you are right, probably should have said something like "he used Tate surname to make people besides his audience interested in the video" but I just spewed something fast to get the point across.
Great game. Good video. 🙏
Omg you actually explained that so well. I hardly ever play the game. Only like 13 times in my life but this was fairly easy to understand
Wow.. I’m only halfway and have been mesmerized.
I don’t even play chess but this vid went crazy
Please more
You earned a sub bro
love bro, appreciate it
Wonderful moves
insane game!!!
Good vid bruh
i played against him when i was in 6th grade and our game attracted some attention:) he played in a 30 game simul and won every game
Fantastic game!
This is an amazing video wow
That is so frigging gangster lol dammit emory, this was fantastic to watch, I loved it ❤️❤️
Good job
What a dope ass video idea

Loving the TATE content
Bro came with the capitalisation
so that is his famous kingside attack
i had no idea they were related!!
