Edit: I don't think people got the message, Firstly andrew tate said " a well played game" and "and expertly played game", in this quote it is saying the ability, also the fact that chess today and it over 100 years ago are different, so he did not really give contexts as at that time people could not make money off of the game, the world chess championship was not a thing, no one wanted to learn chess and paul morphy was playing at 2500, while the other best would play at 2000, but now the top 40 players can beat the best player and sometimes under that, most have a play strength of 3000, so many people want to learn it, that they will pay 30-60 dollars an hour.

"Chess is mostly about pattern recognition and calculation speed". possibly... however, while they may be a part of chess I'd argue humans have the capability of taking away multiple different lessons and or life philosophies from any experience as a whole. For instance, chess has taught me through real experiences how bad my decision making skills deteriorate when negative emotion is present, and ways in which I can correct that. Ben Finegold has a video called "The reason why people don't get better at chess", I'd say I've learned a ton about life from just that video as a whole. The idea being ( If you do not seriously analyze your past blunders you are bound to make them again. The formula for failure is an error in judgement made continuously over a consistent period of time.) Chess has the possibility to teach many different ideas and concepts to many different people, however just because you do not have the same takeaways does not mean they don't exist or cannot occur within the minds of others.

@@Pundapog He is under false investigation because he is not scared of the very idea that Hikaru had a panic attack about.
Andrew is a world champion kickboxer and a wealth surpassing Hikaru's dreams. 6'2 and muscular while Hikaru is short and stubby. Most importantly, he is a Muslim which triumphs anything else.
      That's the difference.

@@jorgecramin3178 Odd for a religious affiliation to "triumph anything else". Regardless, they're both very successful. Hikaru's achievement in the world of competition has to be statistically rarer. No, Nakamura does not have the physical prowess that Tate has. No, Tate does not have the mental prowess that Nakamura has (at least with regard to processing speed and visuospatial intelligence).
Really, one's opinion of each depends on their own personal values. For example, your emphasis on religious affiliation, physical strength, and wealth is clear. However, Hikaru is still very wealthy, and it is not obvious who is happier or who is a greater source of joy for others.

One thing real quick: I have watched every Levy video for the last two years and I’ve never heard him say it makes you smarter. Maybe he’s said something on stream but what he *has* said is that it has benefits for your brain, which it does. It forces you to slow down, work on your study skills, and think, which are good brain health practices.

Yeah I've never heard Levy say that. Maybe he'd say it sarcastically but it really doesn't sound like something Levy would believe. He is pretty grounded and even self deprecating when it comes to chess.

Tate will take him down in the 1st round before moving to chess, if they go to chess Andrew should have enough base to defend himself to survive the round of chess to move on to boxing and can end it there.
