MT07 is the bike of the decade. Nothing beats it for the price and tons of fun .its a Swiss army knife of Motorcycles 🏍

I bought the 2022 MT07 Tech Black and added the $50 air seat with cover. I rode for 5 hours straight yesterday from Tennessee to North Carolina over the Cherohala Skyway and back without any issues. I have added the Giviv Remove-X 35 liter saddlebag kit with the Givi 25 liter tank bag and can carry all items I would take back country hiking including Tent, sleeping bags, hand saw, axe, a roll up material cooler, and clothes for multi day campout.
When I m riding around town I put the Givi 5 liter bag on, with two clicks I remove the saddlebags and ready for a normal ride with the gang, or to go out to eat. I admit, the seat is hard, but with such a cheap and simple fix I can ride all day, longest so far was 10 hours in the saddle doing the Devil's triangle, to the Dragon and back down the Cherohala, and home.
I would consider it a great in town bike, but with a few bones you can; as I do, use it for a touring/camping bike and I have loved every second.
I recently added the Atlas throttle lock for cruise control, and use a 8 inch tablet in the map glass of the GIvi 25 for Gaia maps and it all works great. Looking forward to warm weekends in the winter to throw on the heated suit, gloves, and insoles to travel when most bikes are in the garage. Even with the gas prices up there, and 5,000 foot climb up the mountain, I did it all on a single tank ($9.98) and had to fill up when I got home. Sold my liter bike as I was looking for torque, utility, and gas milage and think I nailed it with the MT07, but definitely look into the air seat with cover, fits like it was made for it!

got the fz07 as a new rider in my early thirties. i think its a good first bike to grow into if you're disciplined and respect the throttle.
and jesus tap dancing christ, i love how it sounds, feels and looks lol.

Nice review, I've owned mine for 14 months ago. The bad seat gets much better with an Ohlins rear shock and proper fork springs, heavier oil and maybe a spacer mod. You can blow through 3 thousand bucks real quick on the suspension. I spent a thousand. Night and day difference on handling and comfort. That low speed lurch is rpm related. A flashed ECU will clear that right up. My largest complaint is the gas tank is too small. It's a 700cc twin, it weighs 385 wet, its a heavy dirt bike more than a sportbike due to the top speed issues. For the street, it has plenty of performance if you keep it under 100. If you like riding with other sport bikes it might struggle to keep up when speeds exceed 100. I got mine up to 109, it could have gone faster but I'm 61, and don't want another ticket. I look at it as a sport cruiser.

Totally agree with your review. If you have never ridden a bike before, this is not for you. If you have some experience, it is very manageable but still fun for someone who has some experience. It has some power but it is not as easy to get you in trouble like a liter bike.

I had never ridden a bike before and last year I did my lessons on an MT 07, nothing surprised me, it was super fun, that's for sure.
      I don't agree, I think it's a great beginner bike.

    This isn’t a Sport Bike.
    It is a Naked Bike.

Mt 07 ain't a sport bike. It's a hyper naked. My 1997 Sportster has over 120 horsepower at the rear wheel and runs mid elevens at 116mph in the quarter. That being said a have so much fun riding my 2022 mt 07. Two totally different bikes both are a blast.

Harley’s are obnoxious and literally all sound the same. They’re overpriced low quality bikes that people literally only buy for the name. So you keep riding your garbage Harley, I’ll stick with my Mt-09.
