- I have a 2012 Sierra with a 5.3L motor, 6 speed tranny, 3.42 gears, Goodyear Eagle LS-2 275/55/R20's, custom tune, true dual exhaust and a K&N CAI. I've put it in 2wd, disabled the traction control and StabiliTrak by pressing the button on the dash, manually put it in 1st, pulled the ABS fuse and put it in tow assist mode but it refused to spin the tires even a little. It'd only rev up to around 2000 rpm while pressing the brake and gas. The throttle response is shit and the truck is just plain gutless until it hits 4k RPM's.

When you do a burnout, you're supposed to stab the gas, not ease into it.
JoeIsCrazyWillman exactly!!
JoeIsCrazyWillman OJ the gas
Doesnt make a difference, once you give the disc's enough torque the wheels will spin.
put your truck in M and put it in 1st gear ;) that's how you do a burn out buddzs
hold up, why tf would you pull a fuse while its running?
I rented a 2016 GMC 1500 with the 5.3 six speed auto. Same thing. I figured being a rental truck there was some kind of programming to prevent drivers from doing things like this. You have just shown me that its not only rentals that have this. The 5.3 has more than enough power to burn the tires up. To get it to do a burnout you will either have to have a skilled tuner alter the programming in the computer to eliminate whatever it is that limits the throttle while the brakes are applied ot you could install a line loc which will enable you to apply the brakes, set the line loc which keeps the front brakes applied when you take your foot off the brakes so the rear brakes will release and the computer will enable the throttle to open fully because it will not see the brakes as on.
I had a similar truck, a 2013 Silverado with the 5.3, 6 speed, 3.72s with the grenade lock, heavy duty tow package, rear drum brakes and skid plates. The only mods were a Volant CAI, 285 70 R17 BF Goodrich ATs and Bushwacker cut out fender flares. It had no problems doing huge smokey burnouts and donuts on dry pavement. I punch the gas all the way down fast and the tires start spinning right away and I let off most of of the pressure on the brakes. Easing into the gas like in this video is the reason why the truck won't do a burnout. By slowly pressing the gas down instead of stomping it is allowing the transmission to slip which can easily overheat it and burn it up.
Not sure if you're still worried about this but on my car it knew I had my foot on the brake and would limit my rpms to prevent the burnout. When I pulled the stop lamp fuse which Is the fuse that tells the car I'm braking so when I took that out it let me do whatever I wanted. Not sure what it would be called or looks like on yours but look into it. Your brake lights shouldn't come on when the fuse is pulled so keep that in mind but it unlocks your rpm cap and your good
You have to take out the ABS fuse so it let it do burnouts, that’s how mine was. Mine wouldn’t do any burnouts at all until I took that fuse out. I recommend it 💯
What year is your truck? Mines an 02.
He literally did that In the video
First time I tried a burnout in my truck it popped a wheelie
Ciro Singleterry totally 😂
im sure it did. What kind of truck you got?
@@spartanboss4189 Jesus, what tires were you running?
Yeah fucking lies. Your stock truck is not going to pop a wheelie. I’ll believe it when I see it. And when your sitting here telling me that you had a late 80’s c10 and saying that’s it lighter then most. That’s when your really just saying shit. Specially with your stock gear ratio. I don’t think wheelies are happening in that truck. And not for a long time. Probably never. Cause for 2 is they sit pretty low to the ground so I call bullshit on this one.
Lying ass
I think it’s because your muffler bearings are worn out. Also watch out for blinker fluid levels
Or the piston springs but still valid options 🤷🏻♂️
Dam son clip them finger nails my dude
I started cracking up 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
It’s a built in fuse puller lol
I was boutta say the Same thing
Did the tune disable torque management? I know my truck had that programmed form the factory, when you hit the gas and brake at the same time it wouldn't allow rpms to exceed 2,000 rpm. Not sure if that is applicable in this year truck though.
also if you want to get around this, you can get a throttle body with a manual linkage, depending on what year your truck is or you can go in to the system with a fancy scan tool like an autel and turn off anything dealing with the throttle or power reduction. an autel scan tool can pretty much drive a car, apply the brakes, and tell you if your truck is running a fever or not. I would recommend trying to find a shop that has one and seeing if they can fix your need for speed lol
You just simply don't know how to do a break stand the right way!
I'm guessing it's a failsafe to keep from damaging the torque converter.
Have you tried putting it in M and pressing the minus on the shifter all the way down? Itl put it in 1st gear and might help them spin
when u apply the breaks do u put them on all the way if so u are also putting the rear breaks on
I believe that you would need some kind of transmission tune
You need to tune out your torque management.
so what if you tried with out the brakes? such that blocking the front tires or parking up against wall. or even tie your hitch to a cement block
I have a question ? My 5 cyl Chevy Colorado sometimes does burnouts but most of the time when I burn out the truck bounces . What’s that cause ? It feels like the engine bounces
newer cars are starting to do this....I can't even test motor mounts in most cars it won't let you put brake load on the motor....and you gotta adjust the brake bias...when you hit the brakes the rear brakes lock too
i have a 2015 v8 5.3L silverado though and remove traction and burns out like hell. no problems for mine
That's pretty weird and I agree that it must be some aggressive rev limiting when the brakes are applied.
kinda makes me wonder what would happen of you just chained it to a tree and put your foot in the tank. Considering how it behaves around corners, I'd assume it'd spin em just fine as long as you didn't use the brakes.
Welp..I'll have to check back and see if you've got anymore updates.
I am guessing the reason it cuts throttle while you have your foot on the brake is to prevent unintended accleration. Another thing for traction control to go full off in my moms chevy you have to hold the TC button for thirty seconds. It will turn off when you press it but when the computer detects execcesive traction loss it will just turn back on. For it to fully be disabled either take the fuse out. Or hold the traction control button for thirty seconds in my moms chevy though.
mncarguy is your alternator stock? i ask cuz my voltage will sometimes be below 14 like yours is but not all the time. my alternator and battery are only a year old. i never noticed it low before, but maybe i just never payed it any attention.
I do burnouts in my 4.8 and 5.3 don’t floor the brake let the truck start to move a little and slowly push the brake back so those tires can spin
Exactly. Mine works fine I can spend through first and second
You know why my truck starts to bounce when I Do a burnout
@@Jresendiz0707 might need some caltracks if you are having that issue
You need a line locker chevy drum brakes don't like to let the tires spin. I have a 450 hp Tahoe with a stage 2 4l60e and a g 80 locker I have to use a line locker.
Damn, that's crazy. Thanks for the input
long live the 4l60
I have an 04 silverado 2500 it does the same thing but mine don't have a traction control button
what is the tire size . on top of what is the tune set for.low torque output
give the best start power to the wheel.not the speed output. hear In burn out.
Press the traction control button and then after it's off hold it down for like 10 seconds and see if eventually it turns everything completely off.
He did that, pretty sure that’s how it got “stabilitrak” off, that’s how it works in my truck, and I’ve also been told that’s how it works on most trucks
Your truck could do a burnout is just that those Goodyear eagle Ls2 tires are to sticky.
nigga please. i have a 2011 and an 05 silverado. my 05 will easily break loose with huge meaty/sticky 33s. the 11 wont even spin a tire without the computer retarding the engine even with stabilitrac and traction control off. Just a benefit of the older models. i can have fun and be sophisticated or be a wild ass just by the control of my foot. these new ones need sensors, controlers and other shit turned off before itll break a tire...
Snipe Stud00 just pull fuse #9 I believe it is and it will shut off torque management
Danny Swagg my 04 4.8 destroyed them?
No it's to much brakes
What?? What the actual fucking fuck does a “ sticky “ tire have to do with doing a burn out? The person in this video I’m praying to God that he’s not being serious, I watch this and he is literally Miss Daisying his foot on the gas pedal.... my wife and I were just talking about how we must be above average comprehension and all around smarts street and text book, than most ppl. Things that to us are common sense or obvious whom ever we are around have no idea what’s going on or don’t know anything. We look at one another puzzled. It’s scary.
Abs and traction control?
Does it do a burnout if you take your foot off the brake and punch it. Will the tires roll at all beside going around a corner? I know it has the power I'm just trying to figure it out as well. I'm sure its all computer controlled.
just a bad driver.... drop it in first gear. do a brake stand then punch it. you're never gonna dona burnout if you baby your truck. if you care about your truck don't do a burnout lol... wussss
Eric Lopez cause you're obviously so mechanically inclined you would know so.. huh, you probably drive a Kia Rio.
I have a Chevy 4.8 you have to smash the gas not 2000 rpm lol
He did, were any you paying attention?
Wow, I'm really surprised no one has hit on this yet, I've also got a 2012 with 4.8L, gutless from a stand still, you wanna know why? It's because there's no physical linkage between the gas pedal and the throttle body butterfly valve, it's drive by wire remote controlled servo operated. The computer only gives you what it thinks you need and won't allow a hard launch, supposedly to protect driveline components from being damaged by the high hp engine. It sucks.
Drive by wire is great as long as there are no nanny commands. Throttle response is instantaneous.
That's correct. One more reason I hate drive by wire.
if I remove the Fuse for the Stabilitrak and Traction control will the tires brake loose then ? I also have a 2012 Silverado 4.8
***** I don't see how any form of throttle can be more instantaneous as a good old mechanical one. Drive by wire has all sorts of things that separate the driver from the the throttle plate. I've driven very many vehicles in my life and I notice immediately the lack of response with drive by wire systems compared to the old mechanical setups.
Doosterfy I'm not sure how drive by wire could be slower than a mechanical linkage. That would be like saying you can shift a manual Porsche faster than PDK can. Yes, I LOVE manual, but I'm not that diluted. A sequential gearbox would be faster than a traditional manual (and sweet too), but it's still going to be slower.
My stock inline 5 Colorado can do a burnout with 31x10.5x15 inch mud tires on flat payment, so there is something wrong, have you been using 99% ethanol gas?
Have you had any luck since the last update? Have you tried pulling the rear drums to make sure they aren't dragging. Also is there an rpm restriction in 1st to stop the wheels spinning for when towing? Silly question, have you tried 2nd gear. Oh and lastly, try all methods when you have a near empty gas tank and no shit in the back lol. All the best.
Shit I must be missing a fush cause my lights on all the time
turn your traction control off then stomp on the brakes and then put your foot on the gas hard as you can and then if that doesn't work put water on your tires then I work for sure
Doss Fishing does it effect the tires
M Someone you're joking right ?
If you’re worried about tires being effected why are you watching a video on how to burnout🤦♂️
M Someone .... leave the comment section please 😭
@@MMR-cs6ql bbbbbboi
Put it in manual shift mode and keep it in first. It tried to shift into second and bogged it down
Mine never failed me. I had the same truck/setup.
Or you can take the 4wd fuse out and put it in 4 low and it will only be in 2 low then! I do it alot
Try it in medium
Do it going in reverse. Does anyone know what I am referring to?
did you try letting go of the brake a little while accelerating to try to break lose the tires ? also you can try wetting your back tires then try again , let go of the brake a little until the car starts moving then press the break completely immediately and do half throttle first then go full throttle after you get the car moving a little and you press the break completely , hopefully that works
I have the same truck and mine can burn out just fine. Its a pretty big smoke show
Hey bud spray the rear tires with some tire shine will break lose for a burnout😉
Robert Cuevas That seems unsafe Lmfaoooo
Just use water not tire shine. If the burnout doesn’t take off the tire shine it will make your tires slippery. Like driving with bald tires almost
What's the M under drive? And what's the -/+ do on the column shifter? You have to get it in first then mat it.
Put it in M and then hit the - on the column and drop it to the lowest gear then mat the gas n break
have you tried holding the brake an punching it instead of just slowly giving it gas?
You suppose to gas it, hold the breaks and gas it all the way and release the brake little by little. If you let off the brake too much you can always put more pressure onto the breaks but you find the right pressure point
YOU'RE ATE UP BRO. NOT EVEN CLOSE. STICK TO YOUR SOCCER MOM SUV. 😂💯🇺🇸👊👊👊👊
I had 3.08's in my '10 5.3 6L80. It wouldn't spin them. My new truck with 6.2L smoke them right off but the tcs/scs is so insane it's ridiculous and comes on automatically at 30mph. The new ones also have torque management so even if you disable scs/tcs, the truck has more than enough to do a rolling burnout but the system limits rpm to maintain traction. Pretty ridiculous they have put so many driver aids in these things because people are retarded and cant drive.
my 08 does the same shit. I put it in 1st, then no Trac control. then floor it with breaks and it doesnt want to go higher then 2k. its weird, maybe tps?
I did this on a ford explorer and I turn off traction control and it only let's u squeal the wheels when u hit the gas all the way
the flex fuel could be the problem is complete ass. electrical throttle body thats controlled by ecu makes fuel pump deliver less fuel when under pressure only the earlier trucks had balls
How do u get passed that
@@arealmaintenanceandrepairl1103 you can upgrade the fuel lines and get all new injectors
ridin high380 the fuel rails or lines from the tank
put it in man1 and and put it to the floor. my 97 k1500 with a 350 won't do a burnout unless it's in first gear manual. small blocks don't make the torque down low to break the tires loose like that.
biohzrd1x1 my 1990 c1500 small block doesn't have a problem doing Burn outs all day just saying
biohzrd1x1 really they dont make the torque to do that. My 1994 f-150 (and 1996 f-250 roasts the tire from a dead stop in drive and they are both 351 Windsors and both pushing stock 210BHP and about 230ax torque. so don't telle that a 97 k1500 350 won't do one plus my brother has one... I know it will smoke the fucking tires in drive, no hesitation.
Will it spin up the tires on dirt? I have a 2011 Chevy and while I have not tried to do a burn out, I also feel like these trucks are gutless. I know it has plenty of power since I haul a 6K lb 5th wheel camper but by itself it seems to be very sluggish. I also believe the throttle by wire hurts for doing burnouts since there is no physical link to the throttle body.
It'll do brake stands and drifts in the dirt and snow no problem. Traction control will kick in regardless though and ruin the fun. They're definitely gutless until almost 4k RPM's. The truck is awesome for towing and daily driving, but forget about having fun.. Unfortunately I'm stuck having to own a newer truck like this.
So you need to a handheld tuner to take off torque management, and to take it out of v4 and shut off v4
Duh. Neutral drop it! 😭
It's because you have 3.42 in the rear. Not enough torque in those gears
Matthew Sochinsky more then enough torque
My ride 06 silverado 5.3 3.42 cold air .ignition and diablo..Wouldn't do burnout without tuner .then only once in a while....had 03 with Same upgrades but 3.73 smoke all 4 all day long.....
Did u turn off torque management when you tuned it
I was down a big hill won't let it Rev up and spin its stupid I pulled abs fuse still won't spin in dirt
you have to push the gas all the way down
You do?? Omg!
Mines a 2011 gmc 1500 and I can smoke my tires all day long. Except I use M mode and lock it in first gear
hm. my 09 4.8, i disable stabilitrak, trac control, and shift into 1, and it roasts the tires until i bang the rev limiter. its a 4x4 too.
you also have to punch the gas down. dont baby it.
Your rear diff seems to not be grabbing because the 5.3 run high in rpms
you have what gm calls "anti abuse" mode. it is programmed in to the ECM and TCM after 2011 or 2012. This enabled gm to offer 5 year 100000 mile powertrain warranty without having to beef up the engines or transmissions. no matter how much power you have it will never let the truck rev any higher than 2100 rpm while the foot is on the brakes. hence why you can get it to spin in wet roads (not as much power needed to spin a tire out on wet ground or dirt) but not on a dry road. this is also why lots of guys with the same generation trucks that are 2011 and older can do a burnout and you can't. this is also different from tourqe management. you may hear people call it that. that is totally different. with TM turned off you still will not be able to do a burnout. in the end what you have to do is have someone program a custom tune with the anti abuse mode turned off. Or go buy a 14+ and then you can do one all day long. I was tired of trying to make power out of my 13 with no results thanks to GM's abuse mode always being in the way. I ended up buying a 15. Happy to say my issue has been resolved.
Finally someone with a brain has commented. Thanks! That would explain why there's almost no videos of people doing burnouts with my year of truck on here. Mine does one now with the 4.10's but it's still hard to do.
mncarguy I hated my 13 for that. It was an "old man" truck. The functionality and reliability was great. However I'm 29 I still have the urge to burn a little rubber from time to time. I really hated it when you would mash the gas to the floor in those "holy shit I shouldn't have went but now I'm commited" moments where the truck would fall on its face because anti abuse mode thinks I'm trying to blow up the transmission. Eventually enough was enough and I traded in for a 15. Happy to say it's a much nicer truck. alot more usable power. best of luck. and don't waste money on a hand held programmer because you won't feel the difference. Thanks GM for making the Silverado and Sierra a no fun truck for 2011 to 2013.
I Have the same truck same problem and i know its not a lack of power its something in the computer controlling launch
Tyler dotson torque mgmt is so gay, why tf is new shit not able to be cool like the old shit??! Lol
Tyler dotson lol. That's true. I swear I'm gonna sell my 09 and just buy a built older truck. I'm 40, so I've had 70s and 80s Ford's and chevy both, back when all there was to bitch about was shitty door hinges and stretched throttle cables (and 8mpg) ahh, the good ol days. Lmfao
Tyler dotson very true. I had a 94 reg cab 4x4 350tbi lightly modded, I miss that jewel.
Mine is doing that
traction control may be on and need to take out the fuse
Hold the traction control button until everything turns off-drop it in 1st gear and lightly lay on the brake... hold the gas to the floor once u start breaking them loose keep holding it till 4k rpms then let off the break and run the as much as the gears as u can
My 🍃Ecobeast has no problem roasting the tires off but I also have a lot more power to spin 33x12.5 maybe you take your rig to the ford dealer 😉
DeZeRtRaNgEr69 Tell that to my 2010 Hemi lol I make smoke for days and I'm not talking engine smoke
macintosh_OperatingSystem say that to my civic lol. guy in a PT cruiser was making tons of noise and I beat with 3/4 throttle
DeZeRtRaNgEr69 my 2000 gmc Sierra with first gen 5.3 has 285/70r17 and it roasts them better then my buddies ford he can even squelch bald

Noah Navin right like you gotta get her fuckin goin
As soon as the brakes are applied in that year gm truck the pcm cuts out engine to a max of 2100 rpm. No way to get it to rev over 2100 while the brakes are applied
2000 rpm 😂😂😂 no wonder
your not that smart are you?
It has a limiter at 2k when brake is fully pressed and 4k in neutral
ChunkierMango79 😂 u ever heard of a torque converter?
bc I drive an 03 denial and for me I have to hold the button for 15 seconds to fully disable it
I have a silverado 2004 with the same issue, and i know how to do a burnout since I was a kid so if you find what's the issue please share it
hit it with your purse
I know you solved the problem, but, I think it couldn't do a burnout because the engine ain't powerful enough. And, you went from a 3.42 to a 4.10. The higher the number, so the lower the gear, the better the acceleration. That's why it now does a burnout. It mighta did it if you cammed it, supercharged it, or turboed it.
$1200 to redo the gearing, $4000 to cam it, $7000 to supercharge it. I picked the gearing since it was the cheapest plus I was gonna do it eventually anyway. Working on saving up the $6000 to do a 6.2L swap. Then I'll look into a cam and/or supercharger along with a few suspension upgrades. The gearing has been a great performance upgrade both for the acceleration and towing aspects. She's getting there.
mncarguy $6000 for a Vortec 6200 engine swap? Are you doing the work yourself? Well, I understand why you did what you did.
mncarguy If you do an engine swap, your looking at $16,000 total. $6,000 for the engine + $10,000 for labor and parts. It's cheaper to do the upgrades you mentioned.
I'll be doing most of the work along with a mechanic buddy of mine. The stock transmission, mounts, harness and computer will work with it. It will need another tune and there's a couple of sensors on the 6.2L that won't work with the current harness but they can be swapped over from the 5.3L. This is what I've read on a few forums and have been told by a few friends. But, as always, I won't know 100% until I'm actually doing it. Found a motor from a 2011 Silverado with 46k miles on it for $3900, my truck has just over 50k miles on it. A tune will cost me another $150 and I still gotta have a talk about price with my friend helping. This upgrade won't happen until next summer at the earliest unfortunately if everything goes as planned.. I'll update everyone as things happen.
Ok, that makes sense. Your getting a used Vortec 6200 and then how your getting it done. Well, I'm looking forward to seeing it when it's done. Now how will you notify me? I ain't got a mobile for notifications and I never check my email since I don't really use it.
you need a posi Trac
Already have it.
Why do you want the tires to spin the more you spin the longer it takes you to get down the track
could also be and issue with your programer. cause my buddies 2015 Silverado with the 5.3 will light them up with no issue and it's stock
because it's a gmc
Ethen Hargraves 04 gmc's can do burn outs. My 2001 gmc sonoma with a 4 cylinder engine automatic can do a burn out
I'm a Ford person I have@ 1980f150 302V8
Cheezymatt my 99 5.3 1500 has no problem lighting up the tires.
oh nice. even a 4 cylinder truck can do it letalone a big v8. in my opinion, older trucks are better like 90's trucks. still new enought not to fall apart but old enough to not have all this technology (old fart moment)
slashergrvr ..My daughter has a 02 with the 5.3 with 35 inch tall mud grips and she has no problem lighting both them up.
its a chevy bro, why are u trying to do a burnout at 2k 😂😂😂
kyle ford foreals he swears it's a 7.0 3000 lbs car.
Joseph HD and that makes u question society?
Whats a chevy if it cant rev over 2k.... thats doesnt make sense
kyle ford You know what, after completely realizing how wrong I was, I decided to apologize. I watched the video where he actually did a burnout and the problem was he was pressing the brakes too hard.
Joseph HD mhmm
1st time I did it my truck rolled up to 3-3500rpm and just sat there. When I let go of the brake it bounced off the limiter so fast I thought the rear end broke. It absolutely boiled both 12" tires like it was on grass. Havent tried it since I put a programmer on it.
See the M on your gear select. That M stands for manual mode. The collum shifter has a + and - switch on it dor selecting gears 1-6 manually. Put the truck in first gear dude. I have a 2011 chevy silvarado 1500 and i have managed to do a few burns. That should help.
It's a Chevy/GM product that's why
Aaron Wynn it’s the driver
Best they make
I know why it didn't do a burnout because it is a gmc
its weak lmao
Gpaz.19 - I like your style my dude
TheAngryFagJosh my dads 1991 chevy silverado can do a burnout
Felipe Castaneda my 240sx can do a burn out
Felipe Castaneda My dad's 2016 Silverado will go sideways if you tap the pedal wrong... it's also stock
my 03 avalanche z71 does the same thing but no problems when the ground is wet
I still can't do brake stands but can do a burnout off the line and definitely drift when it's wet out. Seems like my brakes are too good. Just wait until it's supercharged, cammed and professionally tuned haha
i got an 2004 landrover discovery and i can't do a burnout eaither😔
Mash the gas
Don't ease on to it
trade it in on a hemi, I have no issues lol
Same here lol. And I’m sitting on 35 in ridge grapplers
if im not mistaking your truck has. brakes all the way around so i dont think you can unless you either wise take the back brakes off or get a rotar that will fit but cant hold a brake
Most trucks nowadays come from factory with torque management, whatcha prevents you from breaking the tires loose
You have a drive by wire Gas pedal! It's like having a remote control for a gas pedal! It won't do standing burn out because the computer is being told your foot is hard on the break! Thus making the computer hold the butterfly valve open only a small bit. This is why your engine will only rev to 2k rpms. You need to purchase a modified gas/fuel to butterfly valve kit and get rid of the gas by remote control (fly by wire system). Alot of GM products are being produced with this new wireless to butterfly valve system. There installing them by order of federal government regulations to keep people from doing burn outs on the road AND TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT!! You voted for more government regulations and environmental regulations by the the politicians you put there, now you NOW GET what you wanted! MORE REGULATIONS MEANS MORE DEVICES CONTROLLING YOU AND YOUR VEHICLES!
Should of gotten a Ram
Yay! 1 wheel drive!
+mncarguy better then none and struggling. Do a burnout yet? hope so, anyways have fun

+mncarguy that's fucking good, nice one thanks for showing me that's what I've been waiting for
Thanks! Luckily I know a guy who's gonna sell me a full new set of Goodyear Wranglers for $600 mounted and balanced. I'll burn off what's left of my current tires before buying the new ones.
do you have disk brakes in the rear
Hey man, don’t know if you got it to work or not? But my buddy named Sid took the traction control fuse completely out of his truck (same truck) and he does burnouts for days with it.
I did that at 3:02 and it didn't work. Check this video out, it does burnouts like nothing now. It was just extremely underpowered.

Even though HEMI's aren't even HEMI's anymore, that's why you need a classic so you can ride in style.
U do a burnout in a Dodge cause the rear end doesn't lock in & u just got 1 tire bro. Your Dodge aint all that .
