Thyssenkrupp Home Elevator at my Cousins' Townhome in Tampa, FL

  • This is a residential elevator in the townhome of my cousins in Tampa, Florida. It was manufactured by Thyssenkrupp but I think it was installed by LEV. It serves 5 floors, including the garage which is literally less than a foot below the ground floor. The button panel is a little confusing because the buttons list the floors as 1-5, while the panel itself lists them as Garage-4. I also think this is some kind of traction elevator because of the way that the motor sounds. A big thank you to my cousins for letting me ride it and film it! Thank you for watching!
    Location: My Cousins' Townhome
    Type: Traction?
    Brand: Thyssenkrupp (Installed by LEV)
    Year Installed: 2007
    Floors Served: 5
    Capacity: 950 lbs.
    Door Type: Swing-Out (Exterior), Sliding Accordion Gate (Interior)

      It surely is useful if you have mobility issues and/or you are prone to falls! Thank you for watching!

    I enjoyed it. Always convenient to have. One thing if we’re moving furniture or something extremely heavy upstairs this is a convictint way to do it

      That’s a good point; I agree with you. This elevator is convenient for doing just that. Thank you for watching!

    That’s awesome bro. I love seeing videos of home elevators because people barely film them.

      Me as well. I wish I could film more residential elevators (or elevators in general because I don’t really have the opportunity to do so), but I don’t know anyone else with an elevator in their place.

      @@andrewsstation6436 I mean in Tampa there’s quite a lot of tall residential buildings where you can just go & ride the elevators.

    For me, a journey up 5 floors in something with that slow speed would be horrifying! 😅 Also, at 0:24 was the cab tilted at an angle or am I crazy?!

    • @andrewsstation6436
      @andrewsstation6436  Před rokem

      I can understand that! Also, I think you’re right about the angle of the car, it seems like it’s either tilted or lined at an angle so one end is further away from the floor than the other.

      The same thing can also happens with "regular" elevators. (The ones found in commercial places, which can either be Hydraulic or Traction, with stainless steel doors)
