Who doesn't like watching Olexasaurus stumble around typing words into boxes? It's basically my favorite thing to watch for the past few weeks
yes
Same here
Absolutely love it!
Lets not forget sounding out words in weird ways.
absolutely. it's so nice to watch. really liked this series
I almost did not watch the video because I thought the thumbnail was for a Thesaurus game
How dare you not wanting to click on a thesaurus game? It would be majestic, I'm sure.
Im a simple man. I see olenky, I watch olenky.
Same lmao
It also happened with the Alice in Wonderland episode, I thought it was a Wonderland inspired roguelike or something lol
I totally knew what it was because he spent most of his time on thesaurus website last episode.
I almost skipped it also 😮
One of the main authors for the NY Times crosswords once said that it's not cheating to look up answers to crosswords clues since you are still learning while looking it up and you'll have more fun than by giving up in desperation. I think the same applies here. I'd rather watch you solving this game getting help than just giving up at some point.
I think it's not cheating because it's still hard even with doing that lol
love hearing when you talk to your partner about the game and she participates.
I want to say that when I played lingo I did it armed with a thesaurus, rhyming dictionary, and anagram calculator and it still kicked my butt. I think you should absolutely use them when a puzzle is stumping you
Enters a new color room, doesn't do the "hi" box to open the door.
watched another man get stuck on Cat for like so many episodes. hint below if you want it
Meow is not the only sound a cat makes
watch lingo > fall asleep > wake up > close pc > go back to sleep > wake up > watch lingo
"beware rot"
math, the shape of evil
Ordinal is a word, it's what you use to refer to the index of something in a list or collection.
So the ordinal numbers are 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc.
It's also used in acience to refer to ordinal variables, which are things you can measure to see how it affects the results, for example in biology you might group by gender, age, condition, etc.
Stems from order, perhaps.
@buttonasas
Kind of, they both come from the Latin "ordo" meaning to rank or grade.
From there we get all the related words in some shape or form(the ordinal variables meaning for example comes from the grading meaning of ordo; the sorting meaning of order comes from ranking stuff; even orderly meaning not chaotic/messy comes from grading and finding things their rightful place).
when the answer is literally "obvious"
Pink is “example of ___”. Pink bottom is an example of the object/thing/concept (animal -> mammal), pink middle is an example of the word (article -> the, noun -> whispers), pink top is an example of the sound (cat -> purr).
Wow, I definitely never would have gotten Sprinkle or Mint. The Sharp room was fun. Really neat concept.
That’s not cheating, we don’t expect you to know every single word in the English language and then some lol Great brain breaking episode btw
Level 2 almost asks you to look things up, so I absolutely wouldn't consider that cheating. There's sometimes still a bit of challenge in that, too!
I don't care if you use a thesaurus. It saves you time and frustration and in the end makes for a better and quicker video
"Beware rot" could be "square root". Because that's the only thing left in the math-related realm that hasn't been mentioned yet.
BewARE - squARE sounds the same, and rot with added letters is root. Makes sense
Probably right, but why do you just give the answer?
@@pietrozala3420 you are right. But in my head it was more like beWARE - sQUARE, coz to me it sounds like (skuWARE)
@@NyGeL_Derey I did, but that was the only thing that was left. and sorry to say the way I say this and how it sounds but I can't talk in circles
If you want a hint about clear blocks the challenge room from lvl 1 had them. They do help
Hey Olexa! You’re doing great! I just wanted to remind you to spend a little more time breaking the hints up for the half-and-half blocks, as that seems to be your biggest stumbling block for those types.
Lingo is becoming a thesaurus play through
can't wait til he does the library
Lingo! Lingo! Lingo! LETS GOOOO!!!
I still get so hyped for lingo I started having dreams about being trapped in this game
You almost had me in the first half with that thumbnail😂😂
Ooh, that place discovered near the end with the giant globe looks interesting
I don’t think that using a dictionary is cheating.
love the "chocolate must have a dark behind".
This is my favourite series on youtube
Also, one thing i would try is walking backwards through a coloured gate, maybe that's how you get to the backsides?
I believe confection is the word you're looking for.
I end up screaming at the screen every time you look at "beware rot" and I'm not even sure my answer is correct 😂 I love this series
I think i figured out what your nemesis beware rot is. Never thought my math class would have been useful to me later on.
Regarding the Rooster clue, it was a DOUBLE magenta. Roosters don’t caw. Roosters crow. And crows caw.
I like that one
Very excited to see a good amount of progress today! The “it was so _” was killing me. Of note: Rooster -> an animal -> caw since cokadoodledoo is not an animal and can’t make a sound :)
Hints as to what I think they could be:
Beware rot: math house
The quartz ones: try different kinds of quartz?
2nd hint:
Beware rot: math house with fence.
Id watch Tyler read a thesaurus for sure
Potential spoilers for antonym room!
EDIT: So happy you got these! That room was mindbending at points
I'm guessing blunt (in speech) -> subtle, then subtle -> obvious -> obscure. Not sure if you got it in this ep, I'm 10min in
hey future olexa! PLAY THE LIBRARY PART IN LINGO PLEASE!❤
hey Olexa loving this series so far.
Some of the words are really hard so don't beat yourself up over them.
this video was great cause you were still talking us through your thought process.
HINT
BEWARE ROT
Opposite to an Exponent
Not going for Sprinkles after trying scatter is crazy lmao
I would watch that shit for 2.28 hours straight
29:44 had I not been already subscribed for ages already, that'd won me EASILY AHAHAHAHHAA
great new videos olexa
Always love to see a new Lingo!
(Pink) Same activity, different silence
Oh also, “beware rot”:
I’m pretty sure the answer to the sequence heptagon hexagon pentagon _______ is one half of the answer.
Exicted for all the puzzles for next episode they seem fun
You did a great job this video and last video! Love all your vids, mate!
I hope my offer to give you a hint or explanation on a technique for solving top boxes wasn't misconstrued. You're absolutely smarter than you give yourself credit for, and you definitely solved more Lingo puzzles without using a thesaurus/rhyming dictionary/etc than I did, lol.
Also, you can get a better view of "Peer Over" from the top of that Hominid tower :)
GREEEEEEAT SHOUT
Maybe roast is to like Brown or something, I feel as though that one is a far fetched one that no one would think of.
I’m pretty sure if I told you the clue was Sewer Trot and it’s a math term you’d solve it right away so spent a little more time on Beware Rot.
You did learn magenta bottom. Whatever you have to write is a type/subclass of the word written in the block. So both the quartz blocks are most likely just types of quartz. Given that you got S and M as the first letters in a previous episode, I'm guessing Smoky Quartz and Milky Quartz. In the same room, I think the answer for Cloudy might be Skies but not so sure on that one.
Beware Rot is DEFINITLY Square Root.
I think sound that a cat makes is a Purr, not a Meow. So maybe that one is Purring or something with Purr.
I still think the opposite of Pour should have been Drizzle
Burnt, eggs
You are the Thesaurus🤌
It seems like that bottom pink is when you get more specific. I think I found two words that would fit the quartzes when I googled types of quartz. If you solved this in this video feel free to ignore but l will forget by the end.
I think sighs
might be cider ? "sigh" "der"
You convinced me
No, that would make it a purple. Blue only adds sounds, you replaced the sound of the final S. The word is “sides”
Phew just barely made it in a day😂
sighs -----------> sides
Magenta bottom is "An example of this thing" as far as I can tell. So in the day/night room it is 2 different types of quartz.
I am just going to go ahead and give you the grocery/bakery one because it is dumb and I only got it with a wild guess: Sighs > SIDES. Does not fit the theme. Don't like it.
Getting stuck on meow as the only sound a cat makes? There is a sound that begins with P that a cat makes.
wow really? There's a word that works actually pretty well for that clue. Is it actually SIDES? Insane.
@@ookami38 Yup. sides. Barely fits the theme
i originally thought you got hacked with a thumbnail like this lol
Stock check?
Cool progress, im up for external tools good move imo
Anyone else yelling subtle at 15:00
The opposite of pour is stupid. It's more of a synonym!
I think its sighs=slice
Something that might help, that I don't think is spoiler-y (comments, let me know if it's a spoiler)
A lot of answers are colors. A few colors appear multiple times as answers. If you're stuck, maybe it's a color.
Shurican is sharp
Shurican as in “Sure I can” or shuriken as in the weapon??
@@jorinsides476 as a weapon, my English isn't the best
Maybe OBSCURE to OBVIOUS? I don't really like it but it's what my brain comes up with
Beware Rot
White, Purple, Middle = Has to have same letters, has to add some letters
Bew Are R ot
Squ-are R-o-ot
√
With the cloudy (I don't know im just guessing) think of things matter can be
eh id watch this if it was 41 minutes of thesaurus, but I draw the line at 42
I'm with you, I also do NOT like HOPEFUL to DARK
Rawr
The outro music not being there made me sad
But it is for like the last two seconds??
Good enough I guess
I’m fighting some copyright issues, it’ll be back soon
gamies
Top Blue "Sighs" hint:
Part of KFC's hidden recipe
Of course! Herbs!
"chicken" doesn't fit there
Incorrect
Oh my gosh I just figured out “sighs”!
What do a cake, a pie, and a pizza all have in common?
GOD DAMMIT
Wait it’s 5 letters that can’t be right
I'm not sure you're on the right track there
Olexa don’t look
I’m thinking it’s cider
@@OlexaYT wait, I’m sometimes bad at counting but I’m pretty sure the block is 5 letters, I just doubled-checked the video at 10:51 lol.
To make sure we’re thinking of the same word, I think the game has a fucky interpretation of how “sighs” is pronounced, and thinks it should rhyme with rice and mice & not with lies or buys.
Driving me nuts you can’t figure out Beware Rot = Square Root
'-'👍
Thr opposite of Obscure should be Obvious.
Edit: then what is the opposite of both Obvious and Blunt would be simething in the tactful/subterfuge range.
I tried skyline chili, its not good
Where the hell did the stream go?
My stream vods are members only on CZcams as a perk to those that want to financially support the channel.
That said, the full vod is available on twitch and I will be uploading the parts of the stream early this week as videos.
@@OlexaYT Yeah, found it. Was just confused, because it was visible, and when I came back later it vanished.
I think Sighs is Sauce. You speak "sais". If you remove the i sound. You get sauce I think.
scies
You and your girlfriend together would be so amazing at this!.. Well, you already are by yourself :)
No outro sounds?
I’ve been getting copyright claimed on the song despite having the rights to it, I’m working on it
@@OlexaYT Oof. Yeah, more record companies have been testing the waters with more claiming systems, to see if they can get away with it.
Jokes on you, because I watched at 2x speed... 😎
Olexa, we need to put a cap on thesaurus uses per episode
