An enclosure moving up and down is prown to failure. In fact, I received my brand new device and right out if the box it presents a so called "Auto Focus Failure" that prevents the machine from working. The manufacturer ask the customer to unscrew 16 screws in order to see if the device does work. It doesn't. Too much marketing with a poor engineering behind. This is unacceptable.
Just opened mine for the first time. The enclosure moved up, and never came back down. Spent 2 hours reading through forums, and adjusting the z-axis... turned it on, and was able to cut a few test pieces. Opened the lid, and removed my cuts - they looked great. Closed the lid and tried to cut a different piece. Boom. Same issue with the gantry getting stuck in the up position. FML. I'm not a fan. Definitely doesn't work as advertised.
Thanks for doing this video, I have been in the market for an affordable laser, I had it narrowed down to this one, the Glowforge Aura and the XTool M1, but I think this is the one!
Gosh, man, you almost had me to buy it. I want it so bad but I’m having second thoughts about it. I’ve never done anything with this type of technology, but have always wanted to get into it. I don’t even know the first thing about light burn. What do you think? Should I go for it? Release my inner artist? :-)
No, it's a diode laser. You need a CO2 laser to cut clear acrylic. P.S. "Plexiglass" is a brand name, some of which is Polycarbonate, which you DON'T want to cut with a laser. Make sure your clear stuff is cast acrylic.
@@mikedixonphoto yes thanks cutting acrylic or plexi past 8years with co2 but really want something smaller but hope they come up one day wiyh diode laser that can match co2 wavelenght to cut clear

21 minutes well spent, thanks and keep them coming.

Great vid! I rarely watch a CZcams all the way through but I watch yours beginning to end. Thanks
Thanks for the demo. Can you port the exhaust?
I found this same video reposted to the channel "peel onion". I dont know if that is your channel or someone stole your video
This machine is sweet, I love mine!
Pew Pew! Lasers!
im interested in getting into this hobby, sounds like this machine might be a good start
It maybe easy and safe but a lot of cleaning regularly, otherwise last a few cuts.
Hello from Australia

Is it 110 volts or 220 volts? Can you wire it for either ?
can a co2 laser be placed on this machine?
So this can’t be use inside my home?
Is the software it comes with free or does it require a subscription?
A desktop office laser engraver that you CAN’T put in your office because of smoke and fumes. 👍😂
I really wanna test one of these an do a review on my channel
Ok I got it to raise how do I close it?
Can engrave glass
Can you vent this out a window and use in inline fan?
Yes

@@mikedixonphoto my co2 is old and cant use lightburn as it use the M2 nano board so limited with it
Just 1 thing I will remind people. Diode lasers can't cut or engrave clear acrylic. Unless things have changed.
What size item can be used in the rotary? Do you need to be online to use this laser?
@The Edge of Tech ...shampoo and soap, use 'em!! 🤢
