    Can I ask you... yesterday I was watching your video and setting up my brand new machine. The black electricity "switching adapter" had a tiny green light on and the machine fired up nicely. I put my first piece of wood in to get started testing and the machine turned off. The little black adapter no longer had a green light. I tried plugging into a new outlet and nothing ever worked again. I'm guessing that my unit was shipped with a FAULTY electrical adapter? Has this happened to you or anyone? I'm contacting support or course, but what a disappointing start to my adventure. UGH.

    As someone who designs SVGs and often intricate ones, | would suggest that you take a leaf out of vinyl cutting - and add some 'weeding' lines' to your design in areas like the wide piece along the top of the nativity cross. That would make it infinitely easier to drop the pieces out.

I note in your replies you advise others that the Lasermatic MK 2 is a far superior machine. However, in your review your comments were very positive with no negatives. This would probably be easier but thinking it would have more limitations on what could be made and Roly would be a better ling term machine. Unlike you laser guys i can only afford to purchase 1 machine and that will be a stretch for me financially as it is so i just want to make best decision. This is overwelming foe newbies to decide what to buy. Your input would be appreciated.

    On the G-code Lightburn file do you not have to autofocus the WeCreat machine? If not then it doesn't really have autofocus just a material thickness adjustment via software.

    • @TheLouisianaHobbyGuy
      @TheLouisianaHobbyGuy  Před 7 měsíci

      No Terry, in the video, I showed where you just set the thickness manually. The laser knows the right spot to go to when I selected 3mm before uploading the file. You could also auto-focus before uploading as well.

    Question for you Rich,
    What makes this WeCreat a lower quality than the Lasermatic? The autofocus and Z Height control and ability to engrave on something 140mm tall all sound like breakthrough features, not on the Lasermatic though? Just curious as to your thoughts. My engraving needs are objects mostly and not sheets (the Z Height sounds amazing) so maybe my use cases are less common.

    Thanks for making this video. I've been considering this laser recently as my first laser machine. One thing I'm not fond of, is the whole unit seems to shake when operating. Is that due to the platform the machine is sitting on...or because of the "elevator" design, which causes the machine to become less rigid? I can imagine that all that shaking will result in poor quality engraving if you're trying to do something finicky.
