I had to bind someone who was bullying me at work, but that was more protective than cursing him. It worked, so all is good. It was very interesting listening to your thoughts.

Well…. started with the recent Poppets vid, linked to this one, then tried to get to the vid from Avalon. Hers is marked private. Boo. Ah, well.
I will curse, but only if a person is, with malice, and for thought hurting myself or others, they have to be intentionally being evil, but if they know damn well what they are doing, and enjoy doing it, then on their head be it, if I hex them. I figure they were begging for me to curse them. I put allot of thought into hexing, however, and may consider it for months, before doing so, I don't get pissed, and do a curse in anger. The times I have cursed, I have only regretted that I had not worked the spells sooner, and spared some of their victims, what the evil doer managed to do, while I was deciding if a curse was the right course. (I may also add, I have only cursed people who knew they were dealing with a witch, so it isn't as if they hadn't known what they could be in for.)
Perfect timing. I love this video. I see myself coming back to this as a steady reminder of what to conserve or invest as far as thoughts, words, and energy. I've going through some stuff in my life at the moment and your words always help 💖

I'm totally convinced that working with energies is the most potent part in magic.
And now I'm going to write something that I'm ashamed of and have quite some difficulty to fully grasp to be honest.
I cursed a person very close to me, years and years ago. This person had used me, screwed me over and over and hurt me badly, so to blow of some steam I put a curse - long before I even knew what a curse was or how it worked - down in my diary. All I really remember is that I was so very mad, disappointed and distraught at the time.
Anyway, I don't know how to describe it in words, the shocking feeling that went through me as I, 20 years later, found those words in that old diary, written in ignorance (and innocence) just to feel a bit better at the time.
But sitting there with hindsight, realizing that what I had written had actually come true almost to the letter, that was horrendous.
I acted on it as I found proper, I made a releasing spell as best as I could, I burned the actual page together with a healing spell. And the person got better.
I'm not a competent, experienced witch now (and at that time I was actually a JW for crying out loud!) but I do believe that curses or hexes should be left alone. There are better ways to use magic.
Sorry for the rambling but it feels rather good to have gotten this off my chest.

Over 11 years ago , I laid a curse on my childhood home, because I didn't want it to be sold..( for two reasons
1) I had a strong connection to the house & the ground that it was built on. ..
&
2) health reasons( my health was never a problem there...like it is where I'm living now ..,
The curse has been effective for over 11 years..even though the house has been sold..I still get very homesick for where I grew up !
I've been watching your videos for years and you've been such a huge spiritual mentor in my life when I didn't have anyone else to guide me in the way I needed.

I had a problem at work today and pointed out I had magic to deal with the problem. Some people immediately jumped to the conclusion that I was going to do a curse. I wasn't, actually, because I didn't care enough about the person to go through the investment (if you will). But it got me to thinking about what would actually make me invest in such a manner, and then I was led to this video. I have done a curse, and it was so awesome, I really wish I had done it sooner. It fixed a problem I really feel could not be addressed any other way. That was definitely not the case with the issue at work today. The person who attempted me harm did minimal damage to me, but his direct attack has only made his own situation far worse. I don't need to curse him, his misfortune, is all his own doing. Though...I think both he and our coworkers will think I cursed him...sadly, his situation is bound to be dire and I will take the blame...or gain the notoriety...sigh...some are already so terrified of me...

The thing that is so interesting about witchcraft is you can't put it in a box. You can't say THIS is what a witch is. I think that's why we can have all of these amazing conversations, and why it's so much fun to sit here listening to you riff on the kind of witch YOU are.
Kelly, I just noticed that you had replied to me. Thank you so much. This topic "Curses and Hexes" is so important to me. However, I would never put a curse on anyone. I do have a temper, that I feel as I've gotten older, has gotten so much stronger. I have done things, that if others hadn't stepped in, I would have ended up with a very black and blue face. I am trying so hard to re-channel my anger. I certainly would never curse or hex anyone, I think it's more just trying to redirect that energy to help me.
Just found this video- SO perfectly timed- I’ve been craving justice about a work-related issue that has made me feel angry and powerless for a long time. Thank you for guiding me back to my more...celestial..mindset. I really appreciated your comment about having more fight than flight in you, because it seems like you are already willing to claim your power- no hex needed- whereas some of us may be meeker and more pent up/resentful as a result. also loved the point about how forgiveness would be a hard place to reach after hexing someone.
Do you have any vids with forgiveness themes? I’m hitting a wall with learning about it- psychological articles seem very bent on telling me about what forgiveness is NOT, and I’m finding very few descriptions on what it feels like and how to actually go about it in a thorough way that doesn’t linger for ages. I have a difficult time with being really thought provoking within myself despite having a lot of insight with people and situations and you articulate it so well. And I agree with what you said entirely. With moral absolutionism, energy investment, all of it and now I just need to practice it and use it. You're just so lovely and I see a lot of myself in you and it makes me happy because I think you're wonderful.
I have had people routinely attack me ongoing for months and even for years. I suffered over and over and over the entire time and just put up with it to the detriment of my physical and mental health. It was hell not doing anything while just waiting for them to stop.
This topic kept unfurling new complexities and memories and inquiries in my head, until I realized I simply cannot articulate a conclusion.
But I appreciate hearing a thesis from a solid place of self-respect and pragmatism, without any moralizing or absolutes. Thanks for this.

While not a witch, I have been watching this CZcams conversation with interest just in terms of, as you said, energy input and output, and I found, not surprisingly, that your thoughts were align with my own. Even so simple as how I expend simple thought energy, it's a waste of my time and energy to put that to staying angry for years or constantly cycling around negativity towards someone because it's only wasting MY energy. So even not practicing witchcraft, I find this topic interesting and useful.

Curses don't always have to be intentional. Like in case of evil eyes where you project your ill intentions towards someone, or just obsess over them in a negative way over a long period of time. In olden times parental denigrating was thought to be especially potent curse, "A parent curses his child and God says Amen to it. Hereupon the child is obsessed or strangely handled, peradventure perishes." Quote from the book Religion and the Decline of Magic.
Celtic_Hobo True, they don't always need to be intentional. I actually refer to the possibility of unintentional curses at 21:17. I talk about how you could perform a curse with the intention of simply releasing your anger without actually causing harm to the person but that I wouldn't do that because there's always a risk that you could unintentionally cause harm anyway. I'm not sure that explained it too well!
K . . . Chaotic Neutral reporting: the djinn in my head has a sense of humor, and now my head is overwhelmed with moral bases sprouting comedic bean stalks through the clouds.
Cursing is not something I do in the heat of the moment. Afterwards after having a good hard think about the why I feel called to curse and checking in with my moral compass. It is rarely ever my choice but every once in an extremely long while... I still have no regrets about cursing the rapist who hurt more than one of my friends.
Some people behave harmfully just because they can and find it entertaining... some people are more demonic than lost... just my experience.. they aren't beyond reaching but sometimes it's easier to just let them go.. yeah.

Just came across your video's for the 1st time which i find very interesting, your very wise and do agree with you. Found your video while wanting to know about curses and hex 'cause for a long time i thought that my family could be somehow cursed because of so many bad things happened since i was little and still problems arise somehow or another.
Thank you for this. I agree with you - it's a waste of energy and I don't want to bring myself down to that level of vengeance and hate. I'd rather use the energy to help myself or the person who is hurt.
Some people just need to be taught to respect others because they are not children and should know better it's not like they're hurt and reacting instinctively they are just rude and when they mess with my family and their well being I don't know what to do with myself I get so angry. This was beautiful and layer out well what has always been in my mind but I didn't know how to express myself. I do adore that outfit!!! Those earrings remind my of 1920 Victorian style very elegant and refined but enlarged to the max to blow away the restrictions that the era was plaqued with then balanced with a small contained floral print. #excellence

What about 'accidental' cursing...whereby you are so full of pain and anger and distress from the abuse someone has delivered you that you kinda just scream inside while thinking of them and the energy just 'goes' but you're so caught up in that that you forget about the higher nature of your true way of thinking, because I think the same as you normally, but in the moment where so much stress and pain and abuse was going on that I sort of lost sight of all that and acted in the moment...not in a pre meditated ritual, but more just lying in bed one night and just didn't know how to deal with it all and it was full moon, and when you think of the person and that energy is there then you send them that without really meaning to.
I keep open to the notion that you never really know what you will do in any situation. It's so easy to look at something like a curse when you are not experiencing severe abuse or psychological attacks, but when it's a reality for you, things do really change and you don't necessarily act in a way you normally would. It's not something I'm proud of, but in that moment I just didn't have the will to stop myself from sending it...it had to come out and all notion of doing that in a 'healthy non harmful way' flew out the window. I know the spirits are not happy with me and I have misused my power. I'm not sure how to make it all 'right' again?
I was being hexed and cursed every night by multiple practitioners that someone really hated me brought and I barely survived it I had to do reversal magic and I was considering cursing them the more they got scared the more they tried to curse me what was I supposed to do
Do you have any book recommendations surrounding the topics of deconstructing moral absolutism and embracing forgiveness? I find it really difficult to find that unity and I want to change that.
What do you think about hexing/ cursing someone that is incorrigible? Someone that won't quit at stopping you from living your life, liberty and pursuit of happiness?
I have no judgement towards anyone who would do this. I understand the impulse, and such work in the craft is often undertaken when there is no other recourse, so it's understandable.
As I was listening to your awesome thoughts, the image of the so-called Venus figurines came to me, as if this is what I would hear if they spoke. Witch AND Goddess. The Witch that has a strong focus on an issue and the Goddess that always places that issue into the greater perspective. Not an easy thing to do. Thank you, Kelly-Ann.

I do have one question, and I apologize if you explained this and I completely missed it: what, in your view, is the difference between a hex and a curse? I feel like most people use the terms interchangeably, but you mentioned them as being different, so I'm curious. Thank you!! It makes sense what you say, but a revenge is so sweet. How many films have been sold because Clint Eastwood kills "them" all at the end. Gods want revenge for themselves and I suppose why.
I need some help, I have a feeling that someone may have abused her feelings to hold me down, How could I take that negative energy and turn it around used it for good?
I agree with it all..and I'm game for bindings (like binding my kid from biting her toe nails when there's no anxiety issue causing it, just habit). I also appreciate the idea of living in the moment and never saying I'd do this or I won't do that in the future. Good stuff!

Like you, I've never hexed or cursed anyone intentionally.
But do you think it can happen unintentionally?
There was a phase in my life when spiritual practice was really on the back burner for me. During that time I once performed a kind of ritual. Looking back I don't really understand what it was or what I thought I was doing. I guess even though I did not practice then, letting my energy out through some sort of ritualized act seemed intuitive to me. It didn't even occur to me that the ritual might have any significance or effect other than on my own psyche.
It wasn't until over a year later, when I had got back on the path that I started to think about it and consider the potential impact of my actions.
What do you think?
I am A strong believer in what you put out you get back. I don't think that I've have ever hexed or cursed someone intentionally. This is a very interesting topic I'm really glad that you talked about this and covered quite a bit. well done, brilliant!
People curse all the time without realising it. A witch doesn't have the luxury of being so unconscious about it...but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
Curses don't do it for me either. And I see restoration, not in terms of "balance" - if I go down because of the actions of X, does X go up correspondingly? I don't think so. - but in terms of overall vibrational or energy levels. We have both dropped* as a result of the encounter and restoration on that basis means bringing us both back to our former level, or if that's not possible, striving to raise my own vibration/awareness even higher to compensate.
*How much we "drop" depends on how effectively we're grounded and shielded. At best, I may still want to kill the bastard, but that feeling doesn't lodge in my bones and fester. I can work to release it. If I'm totalled blindsided, I'll have to work that much harder. :)

For me- I suppose I don't hex or curse, because I have a belief that whatever I do to someone else I am, on some level, doing to myself as well. I'm more of a chord-cutting type of witch! LOL.

Thank you for sharing your story. I can completely relate. Healing is the most rewarding direction to go for both sides of the story. Why hammer on a soul that is so confused that it resorts to funneling anger towards you or others.
I have a very hard question that keeps coming up within in Can you unknowingly hex yourself? maybe with your own negative thoughts thoughts you can't control... that in that moment have such strong emotion and feeling

@13:26, I agree. And so many people with their empathy..can feel what 'mean' people feel and how they're acting out. Compassion is important, IMO. I also love the idea of bindings.
Can we positively "curse" someone? Give them useful autosuggestion like "be present" or "here and now" or "breathe"?

Excellent. I adore this sit n share as recently and for the first time I came to a hefty fork in my own workings that ultimately came down to a realization of why would I ever wish ill on anyone regardless how horrifically bad they behaved towards me- like you said they already are in self-harm, and then there WAS so much clear wonderful healing in store. :) I have always felt hex/curses are reactive behavior where maybe detaching with a walk can welcome a more proactive response. Anyhow, I very much agree in your point of view on this topic. much

I agree with you on the idea that vengeance is no good if it doesn't make you feel better. And you have a really sensible attitude towards the topic in general. I'd like to understand what exactly you mean when you refer to energies? Is it more of an abstract concept or a physical reality (energy as Physics would define it)?
