- Noodler's Ahab Flex - the 15042 Hudson Bay fountain pen. This fountain pen from Noodler's comes with the moniker: writing instruments of the world. which, I believe is typical of the entity. they are oh-so on-your-face American. Needless to say, they are known to arouse extreme emotions in the users, some love them while others are, shall we3 say, not to enamoured.
Noodler's make some far out inks - and it is for their inks that they are known, according to some, revered too. But their pens too are not something that you can write off (no pun intended).
As for this particular pen, in general and the video in particular my apologies. The pen had been lying packed in its box for a long time and now that I am trying to present it to you, the nib has come unstruck. therefore, desire as i did, i could not shoot the writing samples, as there is considerable burping and skipping.
I am sure that it is no big deal and all it needs is a trip to a mechanic who will surely get it writing again. Once that is done, i will share the writing samples, pinky promise. in the meantime, please check out the looks.

I love Noodler's and Nathan. He actually is a very caring person, and he was villainized for something that is not true. His distaste is purely economic - FED, mine too. He is a patriot and that is a bad thing these days. He has done a lot for the pen community, so thank you for your video.

I am a big fan of Noodler's. In my pen collection, mostly are Noodler's pens and inks. Also, their orgins are from India. Their pens have a great history based on their names, including the inks. These pens are the type to experiment with. Easy to maintain, repair, and restore. Lots of fun. One of my pens for the week is the Tripletail music flex nib.

I have this pen in Charon's Panther (pink and grey swirl) and like it a lot. The flex nib writes very well for me, although I don't really flex it much, but it feels good on paper.
I love the Noodler’s pens. I particularly like their Konrad pens. But I have more Ahab pens.
The Ahab will require tuning to get it to its optimum performance. I’ve found that if 8-9 fins of the feed are exposed, it tends to write the way I like it to write. I don’t really flex the nib when I’m writing. But it does write fairly wet with 8-9 fins showing. So more feed exposed, more ink flows. Less feed exposed, less ink flows. You also might want to give it a good scrubbing with soap and water to remove any manufacturing oils or debris. Noodler’s pens are very nice for what they cost and they are very durable.
I am interested in your review on how it writes. Noodler's pens, particularly the Ahab are made to be modified. They can take standard international cartridges, the converter and can be eyedropper filled.
Why no writing sample this time , we like to see your writing and your impressions on pens smoothness and feel , and also make a video on fountain pen friendly paper, stationery etc
oops! after i opened the pen i saw that the nib had come unstruck :( let me get it mended, then surely a writing sample will come :)

And one more thing i would like to point out which I think no one has addressed, which is , when we keep the pen up right ( any ink pen , at least which I have used) if we keep it in the shirt pocket for let's say an hour or so , and then all of a sudden the pen doesn't start to write ✍️ we have to give it a few nudges , and this mostly always happens when someone asks for a pen and we provide from our pocket and it doesnt run , due to this I started keeping my ink pen in my pant pocket nib down , have you also faced such issues? If so any remedy for this ?
