lewis was always a bit of an odd one. he always looked like he had a few hits on the bong before the camera rolled. and there was that famous douchey interview with mark lanegan from the screaming trees in 94....still makes me laugh. i think it was lanegan who ultimately forced largent to leave as host later on in the year after this interview. i remember it was pretty abrupt and then suddenly matt pinfield was on.
from what i remember, he went behind the scenes after that interview...didn't want to host again just because of how it transpired....and only hosted thereafter when they had no band to host(henry rollins i recall he announcing distinctly refused to host on one episode toward end of the year)and then they found matt in October 95. where he went after that i have no knowledge of. and i'm not saying lewis didn't know his shit but his interview style was awful and he put a lot of artists off. some people just don't translate to the camera.

Well I've definitely noticed that many singers sound different when singing, to how they sound when speaking, wherever they're from. I thought that was pretty normal. Maybe her earlier singing voice sounds does sound more American after all. Do you still think her later singing voice sounds like that? Btw I only recently discovered this lovely lady so I'm still new to her music.
