Not really a comment guy. But dude, keep it up. These are well made, you’re cool, and the edits are funny. But ya you are nailing the questions I have without being so bleeding boring. Thanks brotha
Hell yeah. That’s music to my ears!
:D
Dude Im a 36y old Brazilian white belt and I'm learning tons with videos. Love them. Congrats!!! Very helpfull and easy to understand.
I'm a 60-yr old white belt training and an elite MMA training center (grateful - but WOW - realizing how much I still have to learn). These videos are helping me train effectively and efficiently. Can't thank you enough!
1:54 closed guard ENTRIES 2:53 +
3:16 butterfly guard ENTRIES 4:09 tomorrow
4:39 side control ENTRIES 5:30 +
6:15 mount ENTRIES 7:11 +
7:40 back mount ENTRIES 8:20
Thank you Jedi, I’ve been on your page nonstop for like a week. I’m just starting my BJJ journey and you’re making it easier for me to learn and grasp concepts. Best wishes in BJJ/life.
Thank you for these - I started BJJ-classes abt 1,5 months ago and these "basic" videos are a good way to learn stuff. Everyone teaches techs a little bit different, so you never know which way is best for you. I get those attacks from mount much better after watching this, so thanks again!
Very good stuff. Watching these videos as a beginner white belt, yesterday’s class if realized that I wasn’t getting smashed anymore. I tapped out everyone I rolled with yesterday and also noticed that I’m finally making transitions to side control with less effort and saving a lot of energy not have to muscle my way to side control. Thank you for your great tutorials. I can’t wait for the tournament in Houston Texas January 23. I’m psyched
Your videos are very informative and helpful. I've been on the edge about starting Jiu-Jitsu, but after watching your videos and getting a better understanding of the in-depth breakdowns of the fundamentals, I feel more confident about starting out and more motivated to join a gym. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for your help Jedi! I’m a new white belt and am now enjoying rolling. It still comes with emotional highs and lows. This makes me feel better. Thanks for giving me a roadmap.
Thank you for doing these, Jedi. I’m a 39 year white belt and these have been extremely informative and helpful
My brotha ! Thank you for these helpful tips! I am a white belt that has been training for 3 months. I can’t wait to work on these moves. I feel and know it’s going to help me out on the mats. Big thank you again. 🤘🏼
Good stuff my guy. Love how casual you are
I'm 3 weeks in, and some winter weather closure is moving into my week 4, your videos are keeping me thinking. I appreciate you.
12 weeks in. How’s it going?
I'm 3 weeks in too!!! Well as of this comment 😅 hope your journey is continuing well
Love your videos!
Hey Jedi!
Started Jiujitsu a couple of weeks ago and started watchin your videos quite recently. They are helping me a lot with knowing and learning what to do as a fresh whit belt. Also, love your video style! Thanks man! Keep up the great work :)
Love this! Thank you
I liked all the content you covered, but it felt kind of fast. Some people don't like looking at a 30min vid, but going through the motions slower helps visual learners.
I really appreciate your videos! Can’t wait to meet you! I just started at drysdale in Las Vegas. But I really appreciate the content!
These help me so much. Thank u
This was very helpful for me and gave me a clear advantage on my opponents as a white belt
Thank your for producing these videos!
Just went to my very first Jiu Jitsu class and it was amazing! I am already falling in love, going to get the membership and everything this week.
Really enjoyed the back mount section.
I like how this video is made assuming me, a white belt, is even capable of getting anyone in these positions before I’m utterly destroyed. This was a good, helpful video, but I lack the skill to even get anyone I roll with into this position let along use it.
This helps so much! Thanks!
thanks man to share all of your knowledge. I really apreciate that. You are spending a lot time. Thanks from Spain
I’ve been able to a few pointers you’ve given me since I last saw you. Vid was great! Thanks for posting! Imma stay consistent!
Zach Shaw consistency always wins out !
Keep killing it!
Thanks this was helpful in understanding the basics of BJJ.
Great and very helpful
Started jiujitsu 2 weeks ago and found your account because I feel so lost. Learning so much. Love your videos! Please keep it up!
Thanks 🙏🏽 oss
Those back mount transitions are slick👌
Thanks Justin!
Brilliant video Jedi
Great stuff man! I am able to pin point to what I need to focus on. I was struggling with my white belt focus.
Keep up the good work !
All of this is good.
Butterfly guard part is very helpful.
I'm a beginner in jiu jitsu and your videos are very helpful , I'm going to be trying these techniques next class. Keep em coming. 💯
Will do!
Great advice
New subscriber! Took 10 years off and now back on the mats love the vids
Another great video !!!! Thanks
You’re welcome!
I watched this video when I first started gi BJJ almost 7 months ago then made myself watch it again today. I can say this video helped alot the first time but I was able to actually understand everything the second time knowing more of the literature and a little more familiar with techniques. Great video.
Hell yeah! Keep killing it!
:D
This was sooo much!
I found as a beginner listening to this went super fast. Could there be some slowed action?
Thanks man I appreciate you
Glad to help!
I don't know if I'm the first, but I have some concerns talking about jumping guard with white belts
thank you. Keep the videos coming.
Always!
Great video, thank you!
What do you think about butterfly guard for tall players (ie, like 6'3" and over)?
this is great. is it possible to put this in a supper slow mode that allows you to say more details.😊
Amazing content bro!
Thanks! Get after it!!
Great video keep it up 💪💪💪, but I would leave the jumping to guard out of it, especially for white belts. I’ve witnessed so many injuries from ppl jumping to guard and getting the other person injured.
fantastic
This was great. Some of the moves I do not recommend practicing on gymmates, like jumping to closed guard (very dangerous to beginners) or body triangles (prone to rib injuries and also can get DQ'd in comp), but overall very helpful.
Cant you use body triangles? Didnt know this. Im a white belt
Were you in Springfield MO? I recognized the skate park. I'm 50 and just started BJJ recently, and also got back into skating this spring after 34 years off.
Bro, you are awesomeness
THANK YOU! fUNER
Thankful for guys like you, I think it's good to practice these things to get an idea before actually going into a class. Also you ain't slick at 6:19 😏 tryna get bro to act up😂😂😂
what gym do you practice jui jitsu in vegas?
amazing staff my friend. your video are fantastic. i wishyou the best
Thanks 🙏🏽
Could you please tell me the names of at least four pins and four takedowns? I need the info for my upcoming belt test but I can't find anyone who says the names of the pins/takedowns they're teaching😕. It would mean a lot if you could help me out, thanks😅🙏
I know its for bluebelts but contrast in uniform colour would make it easier to see Great videos though
Hey, awesome video. I just started BJJ the other week.
Keep up the good work!
What's the name of the background track?
your hat is dope... also you aren't too bad at bjj
🤘
What’s the song playing at 1:02?
Did not realize you were that much older than I am. Good to know lol
Just watched a few of your videos and subscribed. Other than 7 years of bjj do you have a wrestling background or trained in any other styles? Also how many days a week do you normally train in bjj?
MAKEKOTOR3 wow great questions!
Just bjj 3-5 times a week. I do have a style that most schools don’t teach which definitely helps!
Thanks for asking my friend!
@@jedidoesjiujitsu3177 Thank you for the videos. I look forward to more of them. Keep up your jedi training.
MAKEKOTOR3 thanks for the love 🙏🏽
Jedi is the coolest. Lol 5 moves every skateboard whitebelt should learn 😁
jedi do you do anything before training to limit injuries?
I try to get a good warm up in
I just had my 2nd jiu jitsu class and at the ended up sparring with 4 different members at the end of the class. Unfortunately the last person I had to sparred was 6'5 350lbs and is in decent shape, its not just a big person, its a giant! I was crushed to the point where I couldn't even breathe because of exhaustion and him applying all his weight on my chest. I dont want to get that crushed again since my chest is still sore and wondering what would be the best positions for me to keep myself from getting squished? I am only 150lbs with short legs and dont even think my legs can wrap around his waist lol
2nd class that’s awesome!!
When rolling with someone bigger than you strong frames are super important. Keep showing up and you’ll get there eventually 🤘🏽🤘🏽
Shrimp out and remember size doesn't matter. Keep sparring with him. Its to your advantage it will make you better !!! Stay positive too.
@@jedidoesjiujitsu3177 I agree. I am a big dude at 6'6'' 285 lbs and I love applying pressure. It seems the people that handle it the most frame against me with a good grip and a scissor sweep set up to keep my weight off of them. Just be careful not to get your knee pushed down cause the pressure will be back.
if you are still making videos and you can control it i think it would be easier for the viewer if you and your opponent wore different gi colors….sometimes it can be a little difficult especially with the lighting to see whose arms and whose legs are whose…..thanks
Man looks like Jackie Chan
Make jiu jitsu a lot more fun***
Funner isn’t a word 😎😜
FUNNER “gentle art”
Lol
Whats the name of the side control choke i just cant find it
North south choke?
@@jedidoesjiujitsu3177 nah it was the one where you trapped his arm with your head and choked him from side control at 4:53
Edit: i just saw that you didn't do the choke that I am talking about, but you did that choke in a different video tho. Its a choke where you put his arm around to blocked with your head to choke from one side, while choking with your own arm from the other.
Did some research could it be a d'arce choke?
D’arce sounds right
Telling someone they can jump into guard as a beginner is dangerous advice and would get you banned from many gyms
Does anyone one know how to tame an ocelot?🐯
You have 666 subs rn before I subbed
Edit: bruh a CZcams glitch keeping me from subbing
No 666 is the worst lol
I get loss 😢😱😱😵💫😵💫
You live in vegas bro? That looks like T mobile lol
Yes
Great video but way to fast for a new guy. I can’t keep up and don’t even know some of the things you are saying. If you break it down even more it would be helpful
for real.... who tf disliked this? @EnterTheDojoShow real scared of the rising star I see.
Haha we’re taking over!
This dude is like: What hobbies give me the highest likelihood of injury? BJJ? Skateboarding? Bet! That's for me.
