Ethan Fowler video part from Stereo's Tincan Folklore video. Watch the entire Tincan Folklore video and hundreds more skate videos at skately.com/library.
In my top 3 favorite part ever. Love this free/fuck it/fuck you attitude in his skating, but it's almost like "why do it if it doesn't look good?' minded, subconsciously or not. Very sophisticated and powerful performance, but at the same time, it doesn't seem like he's trying very hard. Ethan pulls off his greaser stylee like no one else could; top fashion and different from the typical preppy hip hop thing in 1996. I was fascinated by this part back then (and now) and worshiped it on a daily basis.
Man EARLY days of pier 7. Shits so crazy, it was seriously built perfect for skating. To the point where if the city had an issue with it they should have been like "well shit. All these skateboarders in the bay area and we just made a bunch of metal ledges one after the other and this perfect manual pads". Idk what they'd have called the Manny pads. But Ethan Fowler looked so much cooler when he was on stereo. Most skaters styles as far as how they skate and dress improve as they get older. So offense to Ethan Fowler, dudes a legend, but he's an example of someone who didn't look cooler with age. I'll always be a fan, but Stereo Fowler was the best
When this video came out and for a brief moment in time Ethan Fowler was the coolest skateboarder in the world
Style is #1.. . 🙏♠️✨️
