I know the 4101 line got discontinued but that was, by far, their most innovative and sophisticated looking timepiece. They expanded the line to tourbillons and minute repeaters, not sure if those also got discontinued. They'll surely become sough after collectibles in the near future. Don't sleep on it.

Danny, excellent video highlighting that there is an AP for most collectors' budgets! I remember that not all Royal Oaks have a quick set date function. When did AP start to make the quick set sate standard on the Royal Oak?
From 5K and up is not "most collectors budgets" 5K for a watch is pure insanity.
Hey brother, you left out the Diver with display caseback prior to the quick release current diver. The 15710 ST in black is just fantastic as a daily for about $21K to $23K. I have one just back from full service to include finish restoration from AP (yeah, the finish is restored when AP does it vs. refinished by a 3rd party if you know what I mean). Great vid 📺

If u opt for ROO 3126 enhancement, AP will reduce 59jewel to 54jewel, the watch gets lighter, the min hand jump everytime u adjust the time.
Cant beat that Genta design. I need a new AP and will probably pick up a Vampire, but I gotta try on a Richard Mille or two first. I know its a totally different price range, but the AP just looks sportier to me. We shall see.

For me the Royal Oak is one of the ugliest watch on the market. Only recently I discovered the 11.59 and love the design.

As an engineer and slightly obsessive, I get irritated by AP’s screw design. They’ve put the hex heads into hexagonal recesses, rendering the screwdriver slots pointless. If they want slots as a feature then the heads should be round, like they are in the rear screws, then they would rotate and would be logical. However, this would be a bad idea as the watchmaker would have to position every slot perfectly, otherwise it would look crap.
The front part with the slotted hex head must have a female thread for the rear screws to screw into. This means they could get rid of the front parts altogether and just drill and tap blind threads straight into the case from behind, so from the front it would be entirely smooth.
Obviously they have done it all to provide technical looking features. However, what irritates me is that redundant slots are a corny, somewhat tacky feature on such expensive watches. Surely their designers can come up with a more artistic design, more worthy of the price.

Looks like a gshock for $40k. Don't understand. Everything from a Rolex and up is just pure ego, fantasy and marketing. I love the Rolexes but there is no material difference between a Rolex and a mathy-tissot Pepsi GMT.
I always think the crown on these watches looks like a nut from the hardware store lol.
