You have to put something under the caulk! In this video I used a plastic baseball from Dollar Tree I stuck under it. You need to hold the shape so it won’t deflate on itself and also you don’t have to use as much caulk. 😁
@@BargainBethany thanks , I will try it again when I get the plastic baseballs but I also had problems with the ridges in the piping going flat. Maybe I will put my caulk in the refrigerator and let it air-dry in the refrigerator and see what that does. LOL
@@donnap587 you can also make faux whipped topping/frosting by mixing “lightweight” or “featherweight” spackle and whatever color of acrylic paint you like. You just add a little paint and mix into the lightweight spackle until you get your desired color, then place the mix in a piping bag and use the tips she showed. She’s actually showing us how to use the most cost effective and quickest way. Hope this helps. Such a great video!
Great video! I did make mugs with the “whipped cream” last year and it was so cute. I did not glue the top on, and that way I could switch the tops to go from, Christmas to Valentines to Easter, using the same mug, but created different tops.

You are a genius. A beautiful, wonderful genius! For those tiny mugs, you could take the red and white twine, add to the handle, and make them into cute Christmas tree ornaments. Or, to have them hang straight, thread them through the foam board inserts, tie it into a loop long enough to add the caulk and decos on them, and then deco the mugs. When the caulk dries, it should be more than sturdy enough to hold. I'm totally trying this.

These are the cutest! I tried one today and it came out really great. I couldn't find the white square-ish mugs at Dollar Tree but I did find a couple of glass mugs that I spray painted white and a really large white mug. I didn't have the baseballs so I used a styrofoam egg. It made it a little lopsided so I will pick up some of the baseballs on my next trip to Dollar Tree. I made the marshmallows out of clay but I used real sprinkles and instead of a straw I used a small peppermint stick broken in two. I also sprayed the entire thing with clear coat because I didn't want to take the chance of inviting any little creatures into my house.🐜 I may try the miniature ones as well. I use light plaster and added a little water. Used a piping bag and tip then topped it off with twirls of chocolate then inserted a straw and a plastic baby spoon. My cups were already decorated on outside. I like your marshmallow cups with the faces too.

Oh my gosh, these are so cute! I love them all. At first I thought my favourites were the hit chocolate ones. But honestly, it would be impossible to choose just one or two. The ones you made from the little tea set are so sweet ☕
These are so cute! I used the small holes on my grater to make the clay sprinkles for my faux cookies. It was faster than hand rolling them. The grater I used for that is one that is for my art projects only. Although, if you wash it the dishwasher or in hot soapy water, it should be fine for food.
First, I would like to thank you for doing this video!! I did my first cup using the DT caulk and it was way to heavy even when I used the ball and foam board. Plus, it did not hold it's shape. Then I used the DT spackling and added a little water to it and it was a fail. It would not come out of the icing bag very good. I ended up buying some Dap Fast N Final Lightweight Spackling from Lowe's. A little more money but well worth it to me. Since I had several to do I purchased the gallon size. In addition to making the mugs, I made small cup ornaments for my 8 grandkids and they turned out so cute. The spackling was lightweight so the cups will hang on the tree with no problem. Thanks again Bethany for this idea.
