Just had to come comment and say your guides are great and appreciate the effort into them. This is my first Tekken and I fell in Love with playing devil Jin; he embodies that aggressive aesthetic and the red EGWF is the cherry on top. My goal is to try to hit Tekken King at least. I am currently at Flame Ruler though I am practicing right now I know I can hit Fujin. Your guides really help. This is how I want to play one day

They’re very difficult characters with very underwhelming tools in a game full of easy characters with overwhelming tools. The mishimas (excluding Reina) are officially bottom tier after this latest patch (1.04). I Hit Tekken King with kazuya but it’s a very big struggle to stay there. Meanwhile I achieved Tekken god in a single day with Dragunov from flame ruler rank. The balancing is atrocious in this game. Kazuya doesn’t even have full access to his left arm lol.

@@TheNonHiddenSingularity I don’t know what to tell you, dude. You have 2 people here telling you they’ve experienced the same thing with kazuya, yet you’re denying our own experience. It happens. I’ve been demoted 5 times in a row in T7. 3 times in a row in T8. All it takes is a few bad matchups and some random broken game shenanigans to put someone on tilt enough to where they not only demote once, but continue to demote until they decide to take a much needed break. I went from Tekken King kazuya back to raijin back to Tekken King and now I’m back at bushin with him, soon to hit Tekken King yet again. Kazuya is Bottom Tier now. The patch buffed all the other bottom tiers except kazuya. So naturally, he’s gonna suffer due to not being changed at all. They didn’t even address his left arm. His jab whiffs at range 1.90 (test it on xiaoyu). His df1 whiffs in combos if you’re even slightly off axis. His heat burst whiffs after 1 back dash when other characters’ heat bursts require 2 back dashes to whiff. His twin pistons whiff at nearly point blank range at the wall. He’s essentially fighting 1 armed right now, and he’s the only character that suffers from this. As for Tekken god in a day, it’s not that hard dude. I had a 46 win streak and promoted several times within only 4 hours. Once I hit gold ranks (Tekken king) with drag, I needed another 5 hours to hit Tekken god. It was easy, partly thanks to T8’s system being so aggressive. The issue there is that defensive characters like kazuya just aren’t equipped for this type of environment.

5:27 There are a variety of moves that have different ranges, which can make it difficult to punish. Sometimes, I find myself either too close or too far away.
Distance management will vary for each character and even then, some characters are just almost impossible to manage distance against. You have to develop a feel of what move your opponent likes to throw out the most in the neutral and either backdash or sidestep
Finally hit Mighty Ruler today!! I’m pretty hyped about it since it wasn’t long ago that I was stuck at Vanquisher rank for a long time.😂 I just wanted to pump myself up a little bit since I feel like I’m actually improving a little.
I'd love a Mishima movement guide. I've been playing them for a while but my wavedashes to control the space are no where near as good as yours. I find the very fast micro wavedashed into block particularly difficult. Your kbd is also so fast and clean! You got a lot of great sidestep while kbd'ing into a whiff punish

As a normal Jin player, I wanna ask will this work with him as well as the other Mishima fighters. If not, it’s good to know this after feeling around Devil Jin in this game.
Yea definitely, Although Jins movement isn’t as strong as the rest of the mishimas, as long as you have a good electric and movement, these tips will work well for jin players
