    Sadly, our past is being taken down, history books being rewritten, schools, buildings and street names being changed. Seems some want to glorify people that have done nothing with their lives and contributed nothing to this great nation we call America. It breaks my heart and I feel sad for my children and grandchildren that will be living in a different America than I knew. History can be ugly!, but it should never be forgotten! I loved that sign as well.

      When truth is treated as a commodity to be bargained with. The end is here!!

      It's like 1984. Orwell spinning in his grave. Some would like to delete our history, especially the good, as they think, no, they feel, there is no good in our country. To that I say: Let's go Brandon.

    • @patriciajackson9413
      @patriciajackson9413 Před 2 lety +4

      Sadly, the truth is finally being told correctly. So much was deleted from the history of this country. The history of this country tends to glorify people who didn’t contribute anything, but they stole, sold and killed ppl for their own personal gain. The individuals, who were the main factors in the growth of this country were never acknowledged. However, how could Christopher Columbus discover America when the Native American were already here. Everyone should read African American History to gain insight on blacks contributions to American history. There are many individuals on both sides that haven’t done anything with their lives. It’s really sad that correcting American history will break your heart. Some ppl just need to accept, that they had been fed lies all their life. Ignorance of the truth is ignorant.

      Maybe we should put up statues to the January 6th insurrection to the Bullies, thugs and criminals that raided The American Capitol that’s about the same as the idols of the confederacy and their traitorous acts.

      @@danbailey96 Why not? The 2020 presidential election was blatant election fraud to install Biden.

    I've been to the Carnton House in Franklin TN. There are BLOOD STAINS still in the floor ..on the second floor. The parts - arms and legs - were thrown out the windows.

    Revising history is a bad idea. It should be used to teach the upcoming generations the atrocities and mistakes of the past. Unfortunately, it is also true that history is written by the victor. Nevertheless, as the saying goes "those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it"

    Excellent video Cliff. I've been to Gettysburg a few times, and the place just has such a feeling to it. I don't believe or disbelieve in ghosts, never seen any scientific proof, but the FEELING you get there is real. When you look out at the battlefields and imagine what it must have been like. It is a heavy feeling.

    Great video cliff. I frequent this place. I am friends with the president of the preservation group here. I have a video on my channel of the inside of the home. There is blood stains on the floors. Inside the barn a soldier scratched his initials in the wood.

      It's probably the people who don't want to hear what he said about the "ugly" parts of American history. You know, the "America, love it or leave it crowd" who have cotton balls in their ears when anyone speaks the real truth.

    Beautiful old buildings but agree about the dark energy. Gettysburg Battlefield is the only historical place I ever visited & actually felt ill under the suffocating weight of its horrific history. Also, initially, almost as many men died because of poor surgical practices than from their initial injuries. At the height of the worst battles, surgical implements were quickly passed around without being cleaned or sterilized. Fatal blood & gangrene infections rapidly spread among injured soldiers because of it.

    It makes me nuts when I see them put porta-a-potties right next to historic buildings, destroying the historic views of the buildings that they try so hard to preserve. They do the same thing at the Mumma farm's barn at Antietam.
