    After watching you very informative video, I got soft tooth brush & cleaned all the dust out, lots, & the swivel base, also cleaned much dust by turning & exposing inside with tooth brush. Now working beautifully & quieter than it has ever been, I am thrilled.

    Wow.
    My Dyson wasn't anywhere near as bad as the one in the video, however you definitely helped me identify my issue, and figure out how to fix it.
    It only took about 10 to 15 minutes for me to clean it out with a soft brush and a tooth brush, to get it working flawlessly.
    Thank you for your invaluable help.

    Thank you for this video! Was very helpful in cleaning out my Dyson which was pretty clogged up with dust and grime. Luckily all mine required in terms of cleaning was a good scrub with a cloth, an old toothbrush, and some over-the-counter canned air. Thing works like a charm now!

    Thank you 🙏 I just fixed the heater on my Dyson because of this video. Now I feel more comfortable keeping the first Dyson fan that hit the market. I was about to throw it away until I stumbled upon this video. Not to sure how I actually fixed it, but opening it up in 3 different places and giving it a good cleaning really helped! All I used was a vacuum and screwdriver. Btw, if anyone knows why heating number 17 below doesnt work but 17+ works let me know.

    They’ve definitely improved on these throughout the years. I have the pure cool link model (just a Wifi enabled blade less fan with a HEPA filter) and it’s pretty quiet. I imagine the filter will eliminate the need to take the unit apart for service. I do like being able to tell how the air quality is in my room without having to be there and it automatically switches on and off depending on the condition of the air in the room is. But I agree, very expensive. I got mine for a discount that was about half of one new so cant really complain. Might just go look at the pure hot cool as well. Thank you for the video!

    After wasting an hour with Dyson online chat that did nothing to fix H2 error code on my AM09 model, given address to send for service at my expense. I bought 5 of these years ago, gave 2 as gifts, now all back in my possession. Only 1 has this issue. Decided to search You Tube. Appreciate your video. Going to try taking it apart and clean. You make it look fairly easy, if it is, will clean the others as well. Fingers crossed. I love the compact size, use 1 in a camper for heat rather then the propane heater. Definitely not designed well and way over priced.

    We got this for the toddler room czcams.com/users/postUgkxdzUap46p9ViXhKZf5mK_bXOb89EHxTqq because of the bladeless feature. Actually has a lot more power than I thought it would. Can still feel the air moving well 6 feet away, which is farther than I would expect from a desk fan. My daughter dropped twice and still works. I haven't checked out how long it lasts on a charge yet, but the air output was still good for the few minutes it was unplugged. My daughter also likes the color lights feature, but I don't really care for it and can be annoying to go through all the options before it turns off. Overall, happy with the purchase, especially for the price

    My AM09 dyson hot cold fan recently had the same problem. but i checked all the little holes vents there was NO dust whatsoever (and Air was blowing out fine). After watching your video, i still used an compressed air blower and blew all the holes. then restarted dyson am09 still H2 error.
    Then i googled more and found this dyson rep comment on bestbuy forum regarding the H2 error.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that your AM09 is showing an H2 error. This error is there to alert you to an over/under current. The machine draws more energy while in heat mode, 1500 watts. You will want to ensure that your machine is being plugged directly into outlet and not a power strip/extension cord. You should also keep your AM09 on a separate outlet/breaker than other high powered devices. Please feel free to reach out to us directly at askdysonUS@dyson.com and we'll be happy to assist you further with this. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support ~ Answered by DysonProductExpert 1 year ago
Switching outlets, remotes, etc. never fixed the error for me, after trying to do a deep clean like this one- it still gives me the H2 error.     Seeing as how they've gone completely to making filtered units and not just fans, they also realized how badly dirt can clog up these fancy "air multiplier" apertures, as well as the tiny holes for air intakes. I bought myself one recently (AM06 fan/no filter), it's still stuck in the NE U.S. from winter storms delaying shipping, but I've been watching these types of videos to make sure mine lasts for years.
    Edit: They still make the AM07 tower fan model, but discontinued the AM06, so the tower fan is the last one without a filter.
Anyway, would cleaning it help? Do you have any idea what’s wrong with it? I mean it’s from 2015 and it has never been cleaned so I could try. I’ll update if it works or not when I’m done!
      A victory of style over electronic design. I just don't know where they get these engineers from. I bet they use young clean-cut smart boys instead of hairy old men that know their stuff. I ran a development department for 20 years working right there on the bench with the engineers as it was the only way to stop stupid design practices. Design is easy but most companies stop well short of adequate testing of their designs.
    All that design, all that work, all that flabbering and this entire fan is basically a disposable item for a person that won't do this clean-up procedure/can't (not all people were born with a screwdriver in their hands). And mind you, there's both enough space in the frame and the existing design to have removable mesh outers and inners to clean. Heck, the design lends itself to even allow a removable and cleanable motor pod/core.
