Christmas-tree lots are overpriced and crowded, so rather than going to Home Depot to snag their trees, Zack and Ari head to the Sierra Nevada on an ADV odd couple - Honda’s Africa Twin 1100 and Triumph’s Scrambler 1200 XE.

who else here just absolutely loves this duo
Literally all of us
Best goddamn bike review duo in the goddamn World!
Total pros
They are the ONLY reason I watch this channel. & I don't even ride anymore.
One of the best personality duos. The best in motorcycling
I love this show.
The fact they are both legit friends gives this a whole feeling of being there.
Nice job.
Yup, the friendship is the magic ingredient. That and Spenser's editing!
They are the best!
Love these dudes. Also whoever put in the eagle sound at the jump after 7:12 needs a raise.
Common error. Eagles don’t make that sound. It’s a hawk. Eagles make a wussy sound.
10 months still no raise, but thank you🙏
I was thinking the same exact thing! That eagle sound was on par!
That tandem Jump at 7:10 though. sweeet.
Did you see the transition from the bikes behind the tree right after so smooth
Guess the borders being closed stopped this from being an amazing crossover episode to go meet up with Ryan F9 in the real great white north to get a tree.
DO IT!
LET THESE 3 NATIONAL TREASURES COME TOGETHER!!
Ari, Sturg, and Ryan have done a couple podcasts together on the Revzilla channel
@@JumpingWatermelons didnt revzilla buy ryan F9 CZcams channel or company? I dont remember but I thought they mentioned it on that podcast
@@richhozzy480 IDK the exact details but if I understand correctly, Revzilla and Fortnine are owned by the same company. Fortnine is basically the Canadian version of Revzilla. Ryan's videos are Fortnine promotion (though often you really wouldn't know it).. So Ryan is the Canadian version of these American guys (Ari, Sturg, etc.) or, they are the American version of Ryan?
@@JumpingWatermelons Ryan rocks! Eh!
And the goats truly appreciated the gift!! Stipped it clean. Thank you and Happy riding!💚🐐💜
Thanks for having us! I'm still enjoying the cheese we got. It's delicious.
@@AriH211 thanks!! I'm glad you liked it :)
The goats were very cute.
Man, Revzilla was great before Ari and Zach came on board, but now it’s just downright amazing.
9:07 "Rubbin' is racin' man."
Has chainsaw mounted on bike pointing backwards
Things I predicted before watching this:-
-gonna be interesting
-Ari will drop his bike
Hey! I... also had those same predictions before we set out on this trip. Lol.
@@AriH211 yoooo Ari!!!
Big fan from Sri Lanka
Haha. Why does he always get the bike with the higher seat height in these videos. I swear it's for the lols.
7:20 HATS OFF for that transition! beautiful!
If I were to spend the money I'd likely pick the Honda, but that Triumph is absolutely fantastic looking. Just a stunning bike, they really hit the target with that one I think.
Nah. Tenere 700 all day. The new World Raid version looks amazing especially.
7:22 was an amazing transition.
The dislikes are from current Motorcyclist and Cycleworld staffers. Merry Christmas!
I didn't dislike, but I bet the dislikes are from Rokon owners. Because a Rokon is far and away the best bike for a job like this - until you get to the highway.
Maybe motortrend as well?
@@cisium1184 They would still be going up the hill now, that thing is so slow.
😂🤣
😂🤣😋
More videos about the Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE please!
Awesome video & well done. Seeing well experienced riders such as yourselves have the same kind of struggles in a single day just makes me appreciate the “Long Way” series’s that Ewan & Charlie accomplished even more.
every time ari and zack get on adventure bikes, a klx starts looking like the greatest off road bike ever.
love the content btw, been following you both since motorcyclist magazine
Ari starting that chainsaw with massive confidence was awesome
Goats eat christmas trees?? Man I want one of those Triumphs.
Yes they do!! And they loved every bite! Please recycle ♻️ your tree :) they make great goat cheese
💚🐐🧀 💜
Goats eat everything.
@@phatcyclist not everything!! In fact they can be quite discriminating, but they do love most trees :)💜🐐😊
@@jollityfarmgoats i believe that 100% but ive also found a sandal and a tin can inside a goat before lol
what a great episode! Merry Christmas everyone!
Thanks for watching 🙌🌲
You guys are the Clarkson, Hammond and May of the two wheeled world. None better than you two!
Except they aren't giant assholes.
If the year was 2010 then your comparison would be a compliment -- but it's not. So,,, enough already. This is Ari and Zack; they know what they are doing because they've been doing it for years.
When I was younger i used to look up to the top gear trio and dream of having their jobs one day, but now i dream of being like ari and Zach :)
That Triumph impresses me greatly - and not just due to lower initial expectations. And it does look lovely. Great adventure, more than 'just' a comparo.
Rear suspension is horrible with little travel. The design is rather flawed. Triumph should have used a monoshock. My local dealer has them discounted by 30-40%. You're better off with a Tiger.
@@rusipathan ummm okay I want what your smoking
Things get muuuuch sketchier as the sun sets and trees are awkwardly mounted. I love it. This does nothing to diminish my want for a Scrambler 1200 XE. Plus, also goats.
ZAC AND ARI.... I swear to god i love them...
I do to, and not in a gay- way ✌️
@@maldridge7630 I don't even know anymore.. maybe its gay way this time hahaha
Wow this video has everything!! Fun, informative and tension! Fantastic guys 👍
My favorite motorcycle duo are back at it again! Thank you, thank you, Revzilla for rescuing them from beyond the paywall of Motor Trend.
No, it's the other way around!
Thank you Zack and Ari for elevating Revzilla for me. Because of your association with Revzilla, I have become a dedicated loyal customer...before u guys, it was just a competitor and I would prefer shopping with others.
19:41 I see the camera man made a smart choice of what bike to take at least
What was it?
@@mj_aussie_coaster_travels8310 looks like a honda crf 250 or 450
I mean it just wouldn't be on brand for these two not to get lost at least once per episode. Great as always boys.
Zacks girly squeal is pure Deadpool
Great vid! Used to own an Africa. Sold it to move to a 1250 GS. I now own a Scrambler 1200 XE, and absolutely LOVE it!
I know people have said this before, but this is the spiritual successor to classic Top Gear.
FortNine enters the conversation...
I'm sorry, but no.
These guys are the friendly version of top gear (bbc version). I hope they stick around for a long long time.
I love that the triumph isnt just form over function
Great episode! What a mission through a variety of wicked trails, riding conditions and sketchy but fun offroad action. Great music too. Sweet side by side jump, big air!
The most surprising part is that the tree didn't catch fire on the Scrambler with that hot exhaust! Great video as always!
This series is the highlight of the weekend for me! Love it
What a Christmas gift for your audience. That slow motion shot of Ari n Zack flying on their motorcycles was just amazing. Thank you and merry Christmas and a happy new year to the entire team of RevZilla💖💗💓❤
7:11 Still can't get over this amazing shot
Thank you Zach and Ari! Just what I needed after getting diagnosed with COVID. Stay safe!
Omg I love the goats!!!!!
they loved the tree reCYCLE!!
99.998% survival rate. Hang in there.
Get some oregano essential oil, drink 5 drops at a time immediately followed by a hot beverage, like tea. Mox those 5 drops in water collected in mouth, not in a cup or lips will burn!!
Repeat it a few times every hour until your body tells you ’I AM CURED'
I am so besides myself for finding this cure, I will French kiss anyone diagnosed with COVID to prove this will stop any viral infection, or bacterial (think Staff infection), dead in it's tracks!
You will recover in a few hours depending on how many days old the infection is. In the first 3-4 hours of infection, 1 doze is sufficient!
Tried and true, this works, I bet my life on it!

This is by far the best channel and the best editing and awesome camera work …
Man that little glamor B-roll from 7:04 to 7:25 was beautiful. Especially that wipe with the tree from one bike to the other. That was movie level gorgeous.
Glad you two are back. CZcams finally threw you my way and I've watched all the CTXP's back to back. Subscribed. Good move Revzilla.
another incredible collaboration with the two of you
just fantastic
and I would be remiss if I didn't say that the goat scene at the end was the icing on the cake
very well done
thank you
Amazing! Great story, massive fun to watch.
Great video Revzilla. Always a pleasure to watch these 2 buffoons having so much fun on motorcycles. Also, that transition at 07:21 is remarkably smooth. Was the camera on a track for that shot?
I watched that before seeing your comment and thought the same thing. That was some great camera and editing work 👏🏼
That’s Spenser Robert for ya 💪
Transition so smooth it took me 5 tries to catch it 👏
Great shot. It wasn't on a track though. This is basically a gimbled camera shot thats been edited in post. You zoom in on the actual footage which makes it possible to perfectly line up both shots
15:06 tip: if you gonna cut down a tree - don't.
Uh, normally you cut the whole tree down, not just top it. When getting trees designed for being Christmas trees you grow and manage them yo produce a good symmetrical tree naturally. So steep hillsides aren't used for growing trees that will be coming as a live tree. Hillside on that tree often isn't developed as well as the sunny side that is more exposed. I lived in NW NC where they are grown and achieve max growth a year, altitude and climate greatly affect growth rates... Anyway, maybe it is a western Christmas tree method used by Californian tree seekers, or would you two be "City Slickers" and that is typical of the approach. Not trying to be snarky or negative, just kinda thinking out loud and asking...
Entertaining video combined with a little bit of how do these two bikes handle the task.
I thought to myself when this started, they certainly started late to ho get trees. They will know next time. Also, when it started getting late and approaching dark, I thought,. ...and they were moaning about the air temp on trip up in warmth of the day...once darkness falls they are gonna learn what winter riding is really like.
I bet "Dave" would eat for breakfast those bikes even off roading!
Great video! What was Spencer riding?
Maybe the crf shown at 19:40?
Oh man, call me immature, but I REALLY want to say "your mom"
@@1996Takis1996 good eye!
Thank you for providing us with great content! Be safe and happy!
My lord that Triumph looks Awesome!
These guys always make me feel like a pansy. Riding those big ass bike, on single track in the snow, in the dark come man.
If they'd used the right tires and tire pressure they would've made it look easy
Airing down your tyres does sweet fa on a motorbike and is a good way to get a pinch flat...
I love these guys - it's like top gear (the "old" one) with bikes!
These 2 boys are the reason I subscribed :)
Merry Christmas from Austria to all of you!
I love watching you guys rode together! So much fun, please keep it up!
I LOVE my XE. I haven’t gained so many miles on a new bike in such a short time as the ScramblerXE. It’ll be 2 years this coming March and I just scheduled my 20k Miles Service. 4 sets of tires and year around riding!
At what mileage is the valve check and how much you paid for it?
They checked the valves at 10,000miles (First Major Service) but no adjustments were needed. I believe the entire 10k service was around $500US. Oil change, software update, and inspection/adjustment throughout. The 20k will likely involve another valve inspection. Spring time will see set number 5...I’m thinking another set of Continental TrailAttack3s.
@@oso_nomada i am planning on buying one next year nso have started to research about it. It seems that everybody loves it.
1, I'd take the trumpet.
2, you guys make riding on snow look waaaay easier than it feels when I do it 😂
Gotta say i love this series of videos! Definitely looking forward to more from you guys!
"DO I NOT HAVE MY HEATED GRIPS ON?!?! COMMON ZACK!"
"Those are $170 accessory."

Come on*
Hey Zach and Ari, there's this cool MC aftermarket and even oem supplier called RevZilla and they sell some nice aftermarket heated grips kit made by Oxford. Put a set on my 19 V-Strom 650XT Touring.
Amazing work RevZilla. Amazing skills Ari and Zack.
Loved the video ❤️
Merry Christmas 🎄
I absolutely love how dramatic and fun and amazing some of the sequences are! Really love the videos with the duo!

Fantastic my brother's! Great review. You guys are the Dynamic Duo of motorcycle testing and have been for years. And thank you Rev for making sure our boys did not get split up. Merry Christmas to you all!
This is one of those episodes that you really... really... really don't want it to finish. That was TONS of fun to watch!
If you don’t already own a scrambler, save up a bit and get yourself one. As long as you’re at least 5’7 you’ll be good to go. Bought mine in 2020 right before Covid and it changed my life

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, Guys. This was a great episode.
Ari's helmet is dope. I just bought another one. That brings me up to three Scorpion AT-950 helmets at the moment 😄
Apparently your a big fan of the Scorpion.
I've been thinking of this model as my current(AGV) Modular is getting older and is noisy. Before the AGV I had a Scorpion Modular and enjoy it for many seasons. It was very comfortable.
Merry Christmas 🎅
Some awesome content guys! Really thinking outside of the box. I like both bikes but truly I wonder if it was the seat height on the Africa Twin that when you needed to put your feet down you couldn't. Love the banter of you guys, not going the negative way is very Very refreshing. Merry Christmas from the snowy Northern Ontario Canada.
Man I love these videos with you two 🤙 Happy Holidays!
Awesome video. So thankful to have you guy's on CZcams. Keep up the good work 👏 👍
amazing video, by far the best motorcycle duo I've ever seen... my friend and I have been following you guys through every platform
One of the most entertaining motorcycle video’s of 2020! Well done guys☃️🏍🌬🏍☃️
I wish it was financially doable to just have these two dedicated to making series like these. Same thing with the video of them delivering pizzas; just another fantastic video. Everything was perfect
You very nicely illustrate the first rule of snow country. Which is "Have the right tires" I also found more evidence on an MTB snow ride, where the same problems slid in. We laso laughed a lot, which mad it a good day like you two had.
the quality of these videos are amazing! cant imagine the effort they put into these vids
7:13 that shot right there man 😌🤌
So much fun! Great Episode.
This is TopGear if Top Gear was solely for motorcycles. Need more of this!
Every car & bike channel pretty much tries to copy the top gear formula. Kinda like watching kids mimic their favorite tik tok star.
Like always...good informative and entertaining! Big props. for having the cohones to ride these trails in the dark! I'm impressed with the off-road capabilities of the Triumph Scrambler! Lives up to the "Scrambler" name. I didn't think it was this capable. I would have never imagined that it would slightly outdo the Africa Twin as the AF has the great off-road reputation in the big ADV size category.
I ride a triumph scrambler, my first bike. Probably not wise to go off-road as a newb but I did and I’ve gone down quite a few times while getting comfortable on trails and at slow speeds but after 3 years of riding it I can honestly say these bikes are very capable mostly due to the beefy motor but you still need the knobby tires also. Great bikes, maybe not as flashy as a Harley but a hell of a lot more fun
Never a dull report when you guys get out on the bikes.
These are such entertaining videos. Thank you both. Particularly loved the one with the sidecar in VT. You turn adversity, well truthfully bad judgement, into great fun. Something to learn there.
Really fantastic production and story. These are great to watch.
What an awesome little adventure! Makes me wanna go get a Christmas tree on the bike.
You two are always so entertaining, Merry Christmas to both of you!
The main difference to me in comparison to a lot of other reviews, tests and whatever: You are about to having fun and you DO ! Merry Christmas...and big thanks for being "You" and let us take part...
awesome episodes as always!! this are the two bikes Im considering for 2021
Good job guys. And yes, I AM that guy on the 250 enduro, laughing as I watch you with those monster bikes.
This was very fun to watch. Merry Christmas guys!
This was awesome! You guys never disappoint.
Thanks for the awesome adventure!!! Good Ol fashion motorcycle fun.
Dude this just convinced me further that the g310 gs was the right move for an adventure bike. I got it this year and I can blitz trails like these like nobodies business. I reckon no difference in riding experience or knowledge compares to the difference weight like that makes. Hats off to ya for takin them beasties that far out.
Thank you ! To you both, a Merry Merry Christmas ....Nothing like two New England Yankees remembering what winter riding is all about ... Yours Guy ...
That was so much fun to watch! These videos always make me want to go out and ride.
My fav two guys. Thank you Revzilla.
Those goats though....they were cute!
