It's so awesome that God timed this movie to come out right in the midst of our own Jesus revolution with Asbury + it spreading to other campuses!!
I wonder how it's going to be different this time.
One big thing that's different in the landscape, that may or may not factor in but I kinda hope does, is that Protestants and Catholics are actually kind of talking to each other and seeing each other as Christians. My mom grew up in the Bible belt as a Catholic in the 70s and 80s and said that the dialogue/ecumenism we have now would have been unthinkable then.
I don't imagine mass conversions one way or the other, but just as The Chosen has managed to cross that line, I wonder if a new revolution could do that too. And if it does, I wonder what that would look like.

@@StephanAinley I understand it’s a movie and it’s entertainment. Also I’m aware what I’m saying to most seems radical. A little leaven leaven’s the whole loaf. The small foxes spoils the vine, according to the Bible. I’m not pointing fingers but was making a statement out of Love. Ask yourself. Would Jesus watch a movie with profanity. Ask yourself would the Holy Spirit take part and enjoy content with curse words ( profanity) and using the Lord’s name in vain. Instead of responding immediately, pray and ask God if what I’m saying is right or wrong. Have a open mind.

I was Baptized in 1975 by Pastor Mike Macintosh in Mission Bay.
Pastor Mike Macintosh was one of the ones who was saved in the beginning with Chuck and Lonnie.
My husband and I were a part of The Jesus Revolution. Here we are 50 years later seeing this brought back,the joy of my salvation. Well done!
Jonathan has to be the best "Jesus" actor to ever play the part. You can see the love of Jesus in his facial expressions and in his voice towards the disciples and the people he encounters in the Chosen!! Can't wait to see The Jesus Revolution!!
I do believe your right about Johnathon being a great representative of Jesus in his demeanor and humility. I also think Jim Kavesel is also represented a great Christ. What happened to him during the filming of that was powerful to say the least.
I went to theater to see The Chosen and have seen every episode of The Chosen. I'm going to see Jesus Revolution this coming week.

Jonathan‘s portrayal of Jesus, along with the chosen series, I believe, will go down in history. The series along with the entire cast has started a revolution that this world is in desperate need of.

I became a Christian in 1972, high school, my parents were very worried that I had become a "Jesus Freak". We'd say, "no", we are loved by Jesus! What a life changer. I am now 68 and a Lutheran Pastor. I love sharing the Gospel hoping for another wonderful revival.....God is on the Move. Thanks so much to you all for sharing your wondering art!
The last two Chosen episodes were live streamed on the 5th and the 7th. On the 8th Asbury Church had a service that never ended. They're going to end that service on Wednesday which is the same day this movie comes out. I don't believe in coincidences. I think God is definitely moving. No human being arranged this timing.

In Texas to see Jesus Revolution we are fans of the Chosen. We host watch parties in Mexico where we serve God full time. A Jesus Revival.

Jonathan is really an amazing actor. When I see him in conversations like this, he's just a guy. But when he's playing Jesus, you really feel like you're watching Jesus! I believe the Holy Spirit is helping him, but he was obviously CHOSEN for a reason!

I cried a lot whenever someone got baptized back in my childhood, after I had just been baptized myself. And when then-stepfather had gotten baptized, _you know_ I had the tears streaming down!

For my birthday February 13th, I only wanted 2 things. I wanted to go see the feeding of the 5000 at the movies which I did and it was so worth it and to go see Jesus Revolution, which I am going this week with a girlfriend. You must know I have not gone to the movies since 2010...so awesome job guys, you got me out there twice in many years!!

I've seen just 3 movies in about 10 years. They were carefully selected, since most movies that get released are not worthy, IMHO.

That lady who was baptized by Johnathan has the coolest story. She can say she was baptized on a film set in California...God is doing amazing things and it makes me so incredibly grateful to be alive at this time. I can't wait to see what He does next. 😊

Seeing this after I saw the movie, I love the side by side look at Jonathan in both films. I really was baptized by Lonnie in Pirate's cove in the summer of 1969, when I was 18... Thanks, Jonathan, in Chosen you and the team have created real people from two dimensional words in the Bible, and played Lonnie out of a page in my life...truly a Jesus moment for me personally. ❤️ Thanks, my brothers.
I was blessed to have seen it on Sunday because someone wasn't able to go, so I was able to get their ticket as it was sold out. I cried watching it, and to hear that people were asking to be baptized for real during this film just shows how God was moving with his Holy Spirit so so beautiful! To God be all the Glory, and Honor, and Praise! I am so glad that you made this movie! Thank you! I can imagine how many people will be saved by watching it. :)
What a wonderful actor to play Jesus! Your part in the chosen is so symbolic of what I feel Jesus was like!
God is moving very powerfully and opening up the way for souls to be saved through the media, TV and movies. He is counteracting the evil that is being promoted through these mediums at this time too. There is a major revival happening all over the world. Our Lord is coming back soon! Jesus!! We LOVE Jesus!!!!! My BEST friend in all the world! That was my conversion, in one night I cried so hard because I knew I what I had done to MY best friend. The story was much more indepth and was a total of four days but I knew, saw my sin and the rest well....got a whole lot harder in life and I will always give God the Praise for all of it! As I watched it, I was overcome with tears as God brought to my memory a dream he had once given me a few nights before I went to a friend's water baptism. In the dream, my friend's car crashed. When I ran over to make sure she was ok, she came out from underneath the car but then split into two versions of herself.
One version was cast in a dark shadow, while the other version of her was wearing all white. They separated and walked in opposite directions.
God helped me to understand that this is what happens to us at baptism. Our old sinful nature is separated from us and what remains is one who has been forgiven and washed cleaned of all sins.
I began weeping uncontrollably as I remembered this dream while watching the baptism scene from Jesus Revolution.
In a similar fashion, I wept uncontrollably while watching The Chosen and the scene where Jesus healed Mary Magdalene.
You all are doing God's work, and changing lives, and helping people to find their Savior again or for the first time. Never stop what you're doing and I pray that God will forever provide for these sorts of projects to be made and that He will be in the midst of all the decisions that you all make. Because where the spirit of the Lord is, there is deliverance!!
My husband and I went to see Jesus Revolution movie last night. It was beautiful and very well done. Everyone in the movie theater clapped at the end of the movie. Watching Jonathan in both the Chosen and the Jesus Revolution was amazing. He is a great actor. I pray that this generation can experience another Jesus Revolution, because we all need Him.

I have heard Pastor Greg MANY times as we would go to Big Calvary to hear him and watch the many salvation decisions during the week, even though we had our own church for Sundays. I just was listening to Isaiah interview Pastor Greg And my husband immediately recognized his voice. We have seen him later at Harvest Crusades. He is an amazing, God anointed evangelist. Dallas, be thankful, not resentful (sounding) that Jonathan did this film, even if it was close to the filming start of S3. There will be much fruit from this and the more films like this the better. As Jonathan is right for the role of Jesus in The Chosen; he is also exactly the right person for this role.
I was saved thru the Calvary Chapel movement in February 1975 at age 24. I was baptized in Mission Bay, San Diego by Pastor Mike Macintosh
Mike was part of movement under Pastor Chuck Smith. He branched off from Costa Mesa to Point Loma,
and the fellowship was called Maranatha Chapel. It was all young people, and all newly saved believers. The Holy Spirit was so present and I can hardly explain how powerful the worship and singing was. I was forever changed.
God is so great... I was blessed to view Jesus Revolution last night. I just chit chatted with a lady sitting next to me for a bit. After the movie God wanted me to pray with her. I willingly asked her if I can pray for her about anything. She seemed surprised and then quickly said yes. She revealed her prayer request to me so I layed my hand on her shoulder and prayed over her, as we cried together. She then said now I know the reason why I was suppose to be here tonight.
To GOD be ALL the glory!!!! May we always be sensitive and willing when we are led by God! 🙏✝️🕊🙌

So excited to see the Jesus Revolution. I went to Harvest, Greg Laurie's church in Riverside CA for many years when I lived there & also attended Chuck Smiths Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa CA a few times when Pastor Chuck was preaching. So blessed by those ministries, they helped me study the Bible in depth. Praise God for all this and I Love the Chosen & Jonathan Roumie. He portrays Jesus so beautifully!! GOD IS MOVING!! I just watched the movie this afternoon, after asking God several times to please not let it be disappointing. The theatre was full, which made me happy. AND I was very impressed. Everything about it was awesome; the movie should win awards for best this, best that; the actors did great. Gained more respect for Jonathan. Kelsey is a titan; he really won the Catholic audience and made us see how we Christians should be united. I don't think anybody could have played the role of Chuck Smith better than he did. I can't say enough about this movie; it has to be watched on the big screen, not on TV, so I hope everybody watched it now. Everything and everyone in it is superb!

I never knew there was a Jesus Revolution in America until I watched the movie. I'm actually happy to know those times were not all just sex and drugs for the hippies. Amazing that the movie shows how it brought such a change to many people in your country. God is amazing! ❤ It's very inspiring and feels uniting for all Christian denominations. Dallas your creations are truly a gift from God, as well as the talents of all the actors.
The movie Jesus Revolution was personal for me because my salvation came thru that movement a couple of years later in 1975.
With that said, The Chosen was on another level for me at this stage of my life, age 72. I have seen other movies about the life of Jesus, but none that pierced into my heart and soul like this did. I feel I now know Jesus as a real person.who is God.
He has never seemed so real to me as He does after watching The Chosen. I always knew Jesus as my Savior and my God. Now I know Him as He was as a man who is God.
Following this tv series The Chosen, and now just had watched this movie "Jesus Revolution" in the theater, I would say Jonathan Roumie did incredible!!!💖💖💖
I gave my life to Jesus in 1971, thanks to my friend Bill who was a Jesus freak. I got baptized in 1974, when I was 18. I remember both Time covers, 'God Is Dead' and 'The Jesus Revolution'. It was fun to see I was part of history.

Jesus is our savior! I keep praying for people to wake up and find him! I literally tell people you need Jesus in your life, go find him. Your heart, mind, body and most importantly your soul need him.
My Parish was packed today for Ash Wednesday!!! You and all the faithful are making a difference. The joyful days are coming when our Parishes and Churches will be astounded by the many wanted to get baptized and saved.

I saw the movie last night. I loved it. Thank you so much. God is bringing everything to a crescendo now to bring in the massive harvest of souls to be won. Again. But this one is going to be even bigger than back then as He's also began the revivals now spreading throughout the country.

Can’t wait to see Jesus Revolution. Have tickets for tonight 2/22. God did this for me as I will be having neck surgery tomorrow 2/23. I want to go into this surgery with the images and thoughts of this Jesus Revolution. I lived during the original Jesus Revolution. I believe God is using The Chosen (which I absolutely LOVE) and this movie along with the Asbury University and Revival to bring many people to Himself. GOD IS SO GOOD ALL THE TIME AND IN HIS TIME!!!

The Jesus Revolution just touched me deeply. I had no idea it was based on a true story. Praise God! What a beautiful story! I loved the cast, your crew, and everything this movie portrayed and offered the audience!
One funny scene, when Lonnie , Cathy, and Greg pass out fliers on a pier in sunny Cali, and hands one to our Matthew from the Chosen, and the interaction between the two, made me smile!!! Thank you for your work and the message of Jesus which our
