    Brilliant! love how earlier pop up tutorials were used. A more creative side of your tutorials and how to put them to use. Great example. Thank you!

    I'll never forget the puss in boots pop-up book my parents got me when I was 4! Watching your videos brings me right back - this is almost as close to engineering as it is to arts! Thank you for all the joy you bring into the world!

    Greetings from Hong Kong!
    Breath-taking as always!!! I have been fascinated by pop ups since I was a kid and I remember making numerous cards and pages with just V- folds because that's all I can manage back then😂 Throughout the years, I have been following your tutorials and learning so much!! Your effort of simplifying the mechanism makes it possible for everyone to experience the fun in making pop ups😆
    Just a while back I finally finished an entire pop up book successfully by applying my own ideas using the mechanism you introduced. I was so proud and my art classmates and teachers were impressed too!!😭
    No matter whether there will be more content from you in the future, I just want to say your amazing work and effort put into promoting this amazing form of art while letting more people start from scratch and experience the beauty of pop ups art is truly magnificent. I sincerely appreciate your content and thank you for everything you have shared to us!!! 💜💜💜

    Thanks for all of these tutorials. I would like a little less of it has to be this measurement (only) and more on how the mechanics work and how to adapt it. You can still give some measurements, but it seems so rigid. I still love watching your videos. I learn so much. I started doing paper engineering because of you and your videos. Thanks.

    • @thepop-upchannel4919
      @thepop-upchannel4919  Před rokem +4

      Where possible I try not to get bogged down in measurements - so a lot of the early tutorials with much more simple forms don't have measurements. But these very complex mechanisms can easily go wrong and not work, so including measurements is an attempt to ensure that people following the tutorial get a satisfactory result. Having made a model that works I hope that people can then use the working model to understand the priciples and can then go on to play and experiment further. All through the explanations of these complex mechanisms there are references to the underlying elements that have been used - hopefully going back (or on) to look at these earlier tutorials will make clear how the various elements work.

      Can't say really.... I have another series in mind, but Jane and I haven't planned when or whether to film any more.... and the whole production process is pretty slow.... Actually there is one more coming soon about how to stick your models into a book.

      Its great to hear that at least the answer isn't a definite no - which was what I felt from your last video... there isn't that much in the world of pop up techniques and it would be sad to see you go permanently...

      Gracias por preguntar. El único canal que muestra mi trabajo es The Pop-Up Channel. He producido algunas otras cosas, probablemente la más popular es un librito curioso que creé hace muchos años "M is for Mirror". Todavía está disponible en Amazon, pero es bastante caro y probablemente no valga la pena el precio de venta.
