Around the world on the An-2 plane

Nobody has ever tried to fly around the world in An -2 aircraft. This was achieved by the Polish team with the captain Walemar Miszkurka. The machine they used, has been produced in WSK PZL Mielec in 1978 and during the flight the aircraft was nineteen years old.
This An-2 aircraft, famous for the flight around the world, was bought from the owner, i.e. WSK PZL Mielec, by an entrepreneur, Wiesław Bąk. The aircraft was overhauled, bearing in mind another record breaking event to be achieved by Antek, including another flight around the world, this time along the route of Amelia Earthart in 1937.
Sponsors of the flight: Warta, Petrolot, Fuel Services ltd., Promlot, Daewoo, Miasto Rzeszów, PZL-Mielec, PZL-ZUA Mielec, WSK-PZL Rzeszów, WSK-PZL Kalisz, Euro-Park Mielec, Digital, Bose, Jeppsen, 4-Air, AntonAir, AnBest, DuPoint. The most generous sponsor was Waldek Miszkurka him self, who practically financed the whole flight. The Polish Flying Club did not support this event.
