Bless you Darcy! Enjoy your retirement! Dogs are amazing animals! The unconditional love that they have for humans we should learn and pay attention and do as they do!

Yes they trueing are the best. And he certainly is enjoying his retirement, he spends most of his time asleep on the couch.

Guide dog retirement hugely sucks; thanks for sharing your story, and I think it's a great example for those to hear if they're considering getting a guide or if they're really struggling. I've done it five times now, each situation very different from the last, but it never got easier--just more familiar.

I don’t think it matters if you retire one dog or seven, it will still be difficult.

Hi I really want you to know that I feel for you I cannot even imagine how difficult this has been to you and I have just now stumbled across your channel I am totally blind myself and have been since birth and I’ve never had a guide dog I use a cane when I go places but right now because of Covid I have an autoimmune disease so I really can’t get out that much and I do have a dog but he’s a pet but he’s very very special to me and I cannot even imagine if something happened to him I just want you to know that I’m thinking about you and hopefully things are better for you now I hope to hear from you
