Absolutely true.
I wish Christians would stop making it about their specific religion. It's the most self-centered religion in the world. The rest of us are not required to follow their beliefs. This is really about protecting children from people who want to indoctrinate them into some pretty sick stuff. It's not about protecting or accepting gay people, and there's no such thing as alternate genders. Anyone who believes they are born in the wrong body needs help, not surgery. And there should be no question that none of this should come anywhere near children.

I graduated from high school in 1999. I did study some LGBT writers in English class. That was it. I did not need lessons in LGBT. I did not hate gay people, and I had a few gay teachers in high school. I liked them. I don't think it is right to be bashing religious people or making them look bad. I also don't think kids need to be taught much about sexuality outside of health class.

To say they exist and learn about how they helped society is perfectly fine. They are people and have just as much right to remembered and taught than any other figure. If they know about sex then it should it how I found out, when I was old and when I was doing it. They should not be teaching that kind of curriculum in our schools. It's the parents job to teach on anything that's not academic, and schools should teach academics. These people go into our schools and teach our children that their way of life is right and any other way is wrong. They do teach against God, and when churches speak something that's in their religious books, they cry discrimination yet discriminate against people who believe.
No one needs to hear about this until your over 21 at minimum 18 because it's about sex and that's not ok for children
most teenagers, here in Australia at least, are sexually active at age 15 so the lgbt+ is actually relevant and should be at least discussed in subjects like Health and Social Studies so teenagers can feel more safe with the changes their bodies and minds are going through

There is something seriously wrong with these school officials. How can anyone think this is o.k. When I was growing up, the consequences would be severe. Teachers would be fired, board members would be fired, principals would be fired. Everything would go back to normal, and life would go on like it should. Kids need to know they are allowed to speak up and tell teachers they will not allow this behavior. Schools are now only hiring gays. Why?

More people are comfortable being gay or feeling like it's a necessity for it to be taught. You kids don't lose their innocence just because they're taught LGBT info.

You know you bring up a good point. I have a few friends that are gay and they don't agree with this curriculum in schools. My friend has a young grade school child. They don't want any teacher talking to their child about this sort of stuff. They say that's not what they send their child to school to learn. It's too personal for starters.
