The Russians made a polymer pistol 10 years before HK….
If anything influenced Glock the Nylon 66 by Remington was 10 years before the Russians and it was commercially successful.
But in reality Glock is the one who had the decades long reputation of being the best selling and most copied polymer pistol.

Glock has a very different origin story then other gun manufacturers.

Polymer is STANDARD now. Metal frames still have advantages over polymer. One advantage this steel frame probably has? Being resistant to chambering issues from limp risting...

These guys are really good at following the safety rules. Always checking chamber. Always pointing down range or at the ground. Finger always out of trigger area until ready to fire. Good job guys.

Big fan of Glock and I gotta say, this metal framed Glock is definitely interesting. In the future I would love to invest in one but not right now with that price tag. Great videos guys. Newer to the channel and always enjoy watching.

I’m waiting for Glock themselves to make a metal version ala Smith and Wesson, the metal M&P is absolutely gorgeous so I’m waiting on Herr Glock to get his iteration.
Be waiting another 3 years. Glock isn’t into changing much. They get a few designs that work and change em slightly but never go to far from the original design

@@justinmccord1818 yes they are but it’s one they’re prototyping for a military contract, not for the public. Which means if it is picked up by the military it’ll be a few years before it even hits the market for public use.
@@AllThingsLoud_ They lost the contract they were going for, so maybe they will turn to the civilian market now? Maybe not, it wasn't really anything interesting as far as we know, just an AR-15.
I'm waiting for PSA's version of g19 style aluminum frame. It looked quite cool at one of their preview events.
And the price point of PSA will be much lower.

seems like they made that steel frame a very good job, maybe they should replace that plastic magazine ito steel as well.
I'd like to see a companion for the STK100 from Rock Island, the MR920 from Shadow Systems the Glock 19 Gen 3 and that pistol.
Not sure if it's just my gun but my STK 100 gives me a lot of soft primer strike. Like 1 out of every 17rd mag. I keep it clean and lubed too. I'm hoping that buying a new firing pin fixes this issue.

so I have the 48, as stated in another comment. I had similar issues where I would pinch my hand on the mag. I don't think my hands are as big as his, but the 48 is smaller than the 19. I put an aluminum flare magwell in it and not only does it keep the hand fat out of the mag, but it also helps the mag go in and it adds just a little bit of mass on an extremity of the gun and acts like a slight recoil absorber. call me crazy if you want, but I feel a very slight difference.

Well that's pretty cool. Y'all asked about giveaway ideas for this gun. I like it, so while it wouldn't be as glamorous as winning a Barrett, I think the start of a cool giveaway with this gun would be:

A comparison between a real Glock 19 and this one would be great. I own a couple of Glocks. I have large hands and my biggest complaint about Glock is the small grips w/o ability to put on aftermarket grips like Pachmayr wraparound grips. I have them on my full size handguns to get a good grip.
Walther PPQ M4, Colt 1911, 92F, S&W 686, etc. Yes, I have large hands. Glove size 4XL
My glove size is medium or sometimes small would fit too…. Lol
My complaint is Glock is too big. I need smaller back strap.

would be excited to see them come out with a g17 or g45 lower or complete...
Everyone complaining a joy the price, it's coming with a milled slide, upgraded trigger, and a ton of extras. It's not terribly priced.
Awesome content! not being a big fan of polymers it is nice to see an aluminum grip module and it is aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. I just wish they made a variety of aluminum grip modules for other pistols besides Glock

For sure, let's see a head-to-head. I will say that I am not a fan of the cutouts on the magwell.
They really need to do a G19X/G45 for those of us with bigger hands. I've wanted to buy one since it came out, but I know I would have the same problem with getting pinched.
Look at the PSA Dagger frames. I'm 6'2" and 240 lbs, and I swapped my OEM slide over to the dagger frame. It runs like a champ, and fits much better in my hands.
Also take a look at Shadow systems with the XR-920. They have it in multiple price ranges. Oddly enough I have the Elite series MR-920 and I want their cheaper line called the foundation series but have it as the XR-920 foundation series for duty use. I already carry a Glock 45 MOS for work but had to put a Hogue grip on it just to be able to hold onto it do to Glocks insufficient grip texture. And yes I have good grip strength and technique but it still likes to walk on me. I didn't have the problem when I went over to the shadow systems.
I have no doubt they will sell 20 or 30 of these things

i have a timney alpha glock trigger is my glock 34, by far my favorite glock trigger that ive tried. doesnt feel too light to carry either. Ive heard some people say that it is to light for carry but i disagree

I've been using the Timney Alpha for a while now, it's amazing. I upgraded the stock Gen 5 trigger to a HSP Skimmer and wasn't impressed. The Alpha is a very noticeable difference.
I’m a sig fan but I wouldn’t be opposed to this, my biggest gripe with Glock was all the plastic
just like all the new sigs lol.
I like the 17 size grip because of that pinch with the 19 as well. I would love to see this in a size 17 also
The reduction of recoil looks really good for just adding a metal frame
The reason the recoil is great is a patented buffer in the MX19, plus tighter tolerances due to Matrix Arms manufacturing/inspecting their own products.

It's been said before, but it's worth repeating. Why does "Glock perfection" have the world's largest upgrade market?
I can see the purpose of a metal slide and the extra weight will help on recall help keep it on target.But I'm just not been a big fan of Glock. I don't like the blockiness feeling of it it is I don't know it feels like I'm holding a 2x4 in my hand but that's just my personal opinion but it still seems nice and the color is and badass.
One question. I thought part of the benefit to polymor frame was that it let's the gun flex and help mitigate recoil and help keep you on target. How is the accuracy of the metal frame vs poly? 🤔 I'm very interested in a metal frame. I always worry my flashlight could break the picitini rail under stress allowing the recoil spring to come loose. It's never happened to me but I have seen it happen.
There is a patented buffer inside the Aluminum MX19 that makes the recoil much less than a polymer frame. The accuracy is much better than a polymer because it holds tighter tolerances and of course because of that buffer.
I have the timney alpha trigger and it’s probably one of the best glock triggers I’ve used.

Is it just me, or does the grip angle appear to be slightly different? Not 1911, but not quite Glock either. Maybe a little shorter in the mag well too.
1911 18degree angle with a skirt in the front and rear for your pinky and palm
Now if the companies that already make Glock frames would make one with the ergonomics of a Taurus TX22, that would be a game changer. Of all the pistols I have hold in my hand, the TX22 has been so far the best feel in my hand.
Anybody else notice the lower kinda resembles an xd frame especialy with that reinforcement 😂😂

I really like the LFA Amp metal Glock.
I am married to the G26 grip length. It gives you some flexibility for concealability that I can't give up. If they make one I will be game for sure.
