I found out that is called “She was pretty” because Siwon found her pretty always. Not even the first lead found her pretty but only him.
I thought it was called she was pretty because she was pretty when she was younger but this is much better
You're right that he always find her pretty. But remember when Hye Jin and Sun Joong where both young? Hye Jin approaches him even no one wants to be friends with him. Even that time, he already sees Hye Jin as a kind and pretty woman. Remember also when Sun Joong doesn't know yet that she is the real Hye Jin and develops feeling towards her? Despite her being ugly and giving him problems in his work, he said that even she doesn't happen to be the real Hye Jin or her first love he will still fall in love for her because she is "kind". And the picnic scene where he informs that he is planning to prospose after succeeding, you can tell how he really sees Hye Jin with his eyes. That can also be translated as Sun Joong seeing her pretty (not just only outside but also in the inside) if we based from our take on how the second lead sees her. Sun Joo may not mention the word "pretty" because he is not straightforward (it's obvious in the series where he is having a hard time saying/contemplating words maybe it starts to develop when he is in his younger years because he was lonely) but if you just feel and see him, you can actually say that she was more than pretty for him.
I felt sorry for him but I think he fits the role of being her best friend/brother for many reasons. I just hope that he ends up with Ha Ri.
If you can also remember, Sung Joon allows her to stay for one year in Korea to pursue what she really wants (writing fairy tale stories).
Hye Jin said "A person looks the prettiest when they're doing what they love".
He knew the feeling that she really wants and he respects her decision.
Sometimes, words and actions are not the only way to say what we really mean, but just by feeling and supporting them on what they reallly want.
@@jystayc If you can also remember, Sung Joon didn't recognise her when they reunited and had been a jerk, because for him she was just a stranger intern. Shin Hyok loved her because who she is from start and always find her pretty 'inside' despite her looks. He would have done all of the things Song Joon did you said above if she ever gave him a chance and not fixate too much about her 'first love'. Hell, he even drove her to the hospital because she was so worried about song Joon means that he cared her so much even it hurts him. I doubt the fat shy boy would have done otherwise.
@@krrk6337 I think you didn't read my previous comment well enough. The answer is already there. Sung joon said to Hye jin that "even though that she is not the real Hye Jin/first love, he will still fall in love for her because she was kind" (or you didn't remember/see that?). If he is being jerk on their first meeting, it's because he is a lonely boy and he remembers the past because she has the same name, but you can see his character development as the episode goes by. "Shin hyuk drove her to the hospital, I doubt that fat shy boy would have done that otherwise", you didn't remember when Sung joon and Shin hyuk were worried about her because of the news about a car accident? Sung joon came first. Don't think that I hate Shin hyuk, it's just that in real life, unrequited love hurts but you cannot force a girl to love just because you love her too much. Shin hyuk should stop having feelings towards Hye jin when he already knew the truth, it just results to more pain.

Cried a lot with this scene. And it's the first time I cried out of a second lead (I'm usually annoyed with them), out of a character leaving (usually cried only on death/illness scenes), and out of a unrequited love (mostly cried on parent drama scenes). This is my first and only second lead syndrome and I don't think any other drama would top this. KSH character is so well written and protrayed.

this scene is the saddest among all 15 episodes so far. Kim Shin Hyuk is too lovable, but he has to go anyway. And I cried as a fan of Siwon and as a fan of this drama. Really i missed Siwon already... *sobbing*

Some celebrities do choose to enlist earlier so they can really focus on their career later on, ie yoo seungho(actor) enlisted when he was only 20y.o. As for the conference thingy, since every men need to do this so no one really hold a press conference to announce such matter, but most of them do announce it on twitter to tell their fans or through their agency.

I just realized now that even the female lead didn't deserve siwon's loves bcoz his loves were pure not based on the look bcoz he see what's in inside first.. He was too good for her anyway. I cried a lot with this scene, I really shift this two. This scene really show that he really cares to Hyejin, she is really special person to him. This what you called True Love to the both of them but I think for Hyejin, First Love really matters.
