Playing Necro as well, managed to solve it by disabling crossplay at the character selection and entering the game.

Playing barb, change cross play settings and reload solved the issue

changing world tiers, logging out and back in and then changing world tier back worked for me.

I did exactly the same:
- left the gatehall (teleported to another place)
- left the game (Esc and press Leave Game)
- log back in
- teleport to the gatehall
- go to the brazier ( the furnace thingy)
- interact with it
