I have about 50 total of 1982's and 1983's and over half of them is in great shape!!
I also have 50+ as well of 1982 and 1983 quarters in excellent condition. I also collecting all dimes, nickels, pennies and Ken Halves of 82's and 83's as well alone with the 82, 83 Proof Sets those 2 yrs.

If I may I believe what he is saying here I this. That the mid 80's quarters were heavily used so to find them in uncirculated condition, especially the higher grades like MS-65 and above, are rare and quite valuable. This doesn't mean that the average circulated quarter from the same year is worth any premium at all. Just the high grade examples.

I have a 1983 Philadelphia in great shape, I also have a misstruck quarter where the in God we trust is missing its also from Philadelphia mint and the strike shows up on the backside, it looks like it was struck three times. I also have two 1970 hard struck quarters one is from Denver the other does not say

hey i just saw your youtube video and i have 9 1983 quarters that i myself collecting all types of coins.i found so many coins and steel my husbands change from pocket.and today when coming home from the store and i set them on my table and came across a Elizabeth 11 dg reg fd coin with a reverse lion.we were in shock.
Thank you I came across a large stash of coins from the eights that my dad had hide away . And all the coins were pocket change he cleaned out and put in vitamin bottles. I think the newest coin was like 1984 . Penny's dimes nickels quarters and half dollars . And I have about a 100 in quarts too. I'm going to go through them now that I have watched your video . I have a 1983 p with a pretty significant crack. It goes from the front edge of the "Y" in a quarter moon shape between the "8" and "3".
I have a ,83 and the three is thick not like the one you are showing. Its in very good shape.

Yamaha SR650 well since quarter don't have chickens on them at all that makes your comments kinda ridiculous. However they do have Eagles on them.
Nothing gets by you, kid! Well, maybe the "chicken joke" "soared" over your head. DON'T LOOK UP! I found a quarter with my metal detector 5 years ago and sold it for $13,500. It was Red Book valued at $17,000. "kinda ridiculous", eh, kid? You should have known.
Part of that value is also because there was no 1983 mint set so folks can't get decent shaped coins by the hundreds buying old sets like other years.
After watching this I went through my quarters and found one!!! It's probably vf-xf. It only has minor scratches and nothing is worn. What's it worth do you think?

I was looking at one of my 1959 lincoln cent it is much better than this quarter and other lincoln cents youve showed us before. And my lincoln cent was graded at ms 64 and its like no way.... am afraid to sent the 1942 dime 1942 over 1941 D mark and not get it back jeje...

I wish someone could help w/?. My grandfather was a big time collector. His loaned his collection to one of the Chicago museums only 2 exchange a coin w/better condition. We just found what I think you guys are calling registry sets from 1953. It was in an envelope direct from the mint dated and mailed to him in 1953. They don't look like double die I only ask as his collection was have been stolen over the years and we have no clue what family member stole them but he had these hidden so they may be valuable as he would argue over how much a donut and coffe cost so can't see him paying that ins on a package

The only reason 1982 and 1983 are worth a premium in unc condition is they are harder to find because the mint didn't produce any mint sets in those two yrs and that is were most people get their unc coins from to build a set.

I have so many coins u talk about. Im to poor to get them graded lol. I went to 3 diffent coin shops to c what there worth and 1 said he will give me 35 dollars. 2 one said 20. 3 one said 200. So now im thinking its worth alot more. I am just gonna keep it i guess. That was a penny i have same problem with other coins half dollars and quarters. All coin dealers give me different prices lol. I dont know who to trust.
