I have a black stainless one like yours. You are supposed to remove the racks before self cleaning. You can also pull the knobs off to clean them. Seasonings and other stuff falls in the cracks of mine. I just found out about 20 minutes ago they pop right off. Just don’t get them mixed up when putting them back on.

How come you didn't remove the racks prior to self-cleaning the oven.
It is recommended that the rack be removed prior to self-cleaning.
    I am very confused.

Honestly i don’t remember reading that, I have done it now so many times with the racks, haven’t done any harm to my oven so far. No dents or bents :

Honestly i don’t have the similar experience so I can’t say much about it as I always clean with the racks and haven’t experienced any dents or temperature increase in it

Are u supposed to add water for the self clean or steam clean and u need a razor to scrap all that burnt food off ur stove top

For steam clean up need to add water, for the self clean 3 hours one you don’t need any water and you also don’t have to scrape it , it’ll turn into ashes and you just wipe it off

I was actually told by the repair man that came out and repaired my Samsung ice maker that I shouldn’t use the self clean feature on the oven. It will eventually damage the electronics boards (of which there are many inside) and your oven will stop working.

@@Motivation15915 my whole kitchen is Samsung black stainless. I bought them in 2016 or 17 I think when they first came out with that color. It took months to get them and I’m pretty disappointed. The dishwasher stopped working year 5 (repair man’s said 800 to repair cheaper to buy a new one. I had to replace it with another Samsung, because black stainless from another brand wouldn’t match. I clean my glass stove top after every use, but it’s pretty scratched up from the Ninja cookware at this point. There are several small dents and scratches as well and I am not particularly hard on my appliances. The burner we use the most has issues with the temperature staying high for several minutes after you turn it down. The ice maker on my refrigerator had the old freeze up and stop working issue that it’s famous for. Luckily I had purchased the extended warranty on it and the repair has worked. Many have not been as lucky with it. If I had the finances when the dishwasher stopped working I would have just replaced all of it with another brand. There are other small issues I can live with, but I would really like to use the self clean on the oven and not have to end up possibly replacing it. I watched another video (made by Samsung) that said you should pull out the bottom drawer as well as the racks when self cleaning. I thought that was interesting. Also read a story where someone left their racks in during self clean and burned the thermafoil cabinets around it. I accidentally turned on self clean one day and when I smelled it turned it off. It was only on about half an hour but the oven already looked better. I am tempted to just run it and see what happens. Yours might be good because it’s a newer model. They seem to fix issues with the manufacturing as they go.
