Wow…thank you for clarifying the chain one on the second row…is nice to know that if you say”the chain one doesn’t count or the chain one counts as a stitch” you point it out exactly depending on those words where you should do your next stitch…I don’t think I heard as clear explanation..!!! They just said it does or it doesn’t count and as a new crocheting person I didn’t knew exactly how that worked…thanks to you now o know…😊👍🤷🏼♀️
Hi Ana, I'm so glad you found this tutorial useful. Thank you for you lovely comment. It's really appreciated. What project are you working on? Happy hooking Love Karen x x
You're very welcome. Thank you for your lovely comment. I think they are great to give as gifts. Mix it up with variegated yarns or add pompom to the end. Have you seen my video on needlefelting on crochet? I show you how to add to this scarf. czcams.com/video/imPQoMH77Ac/video.html Happy hooking Love Karen x
Amazing Crocheting Thank You So Much for Your Video , Wonderful Tutorial .. I'm going to make mine Smaller in Width and the Length for I'm going to make a Child's Verizon of the Scarf 🧣🧣
Hi Sue. Thank you for subscribing. In your first email you should have received the project folder inserts? There is conversion chart in there for UK to US terms. There isn't a written pattern for this available currently. For this pattern (if memory services me right, it was a few years ago that I wrote it) I think you just need to know that when I double crochet that is a single crochet in US Terms. Hope this helps? Karen x
Love the tutorial. Is there a specific foundation number if you want to make the scarf longer or shorter? Is there a specific number of rows needed when making the keyhole sections? 13:55
Glad you love the tutorial. There are no specifics. You would just need to decide how many extra rows to crochet before making the keyhole so that the scarf is balanced x
Did I miss that you specified this was UK terms? Mine turned out much to large and I had to pull out and then realized you were singe crocheting and that was why.
That really depends on how long you want it to be. It was a few years back that I designed this, and I didn't do a written pattern at the time ..but one is coming soon. At a best guess, I pretty sure it was only one skein of 100g dk. I hope that helps for now? Happy hooking Love Karen x
Sorry you feel that way. The main stitch is double crochet (UK)/Single crochet (US). I have a video on that in my beginners playlists. Happy hooking Karen x
There is no SC in UK terms. I have a free download of a conversion chart along with other helpful guides if you're interested? Here's the link www.conquercrochet.com/ccprojectfolder Hope this helps. Happy hooking Love Karen x
So glad you enjoyed it. It's a great scarf - not too bulky so it looks good if you want to wear in indoors, too. Thank you for your comment. I really appreciate the feedback. What colour are you going to make your scarf? Karen ♥️🧶
Thanks very much for your tutorial! I was able to make a beautiful scarf for my toddler.
Thank you. The easiest by far.
Glad it helped

@@ConquerCrochet I'm just making a bunch... I'll keep some and donate some. It's such a great design!
@@LoveIsAlwaysHereChooseLove Thank you. Simple but effective. Adding embellishments or making with variegated yarn really mixes up the styles x

Hi Stephanie. I'm so sorry you had this happen to you. It does say UK terms used about 10 second into the video. I hope you manage to make one soon. X
How much yarn does this take?

That's not a double crochet. It's a single crochet.
Hi Lillie. I work in UK crochet terms where a dc is the same stitch as a sc in US terms. X
