Government should honour BKS with Bharat Ratna. Respect should come from home

@Tushar Sachdeva Well one possible reason that makes sense is to let Yoga reach as many people world wide. Language should not be a prerequisite to learn Yoga.

Swami Veda Bharti visited GUYANA many moons ago as Pandit Ushar Bodh Arya. He married a Guyanese woman but later they seperated because he decided to adopt the new personality
of Swami Veda Bharti ji. My dad told me everything from the early years of his visit to Guyana but concluded by telling that he is an intellectual sun.

@@raghvendratripathi3911 I know about Shivananda, Vishnudevananda and about Satyananda and his Bihar School also. I am from Ujjain I know about yoga and I say Yoga was not practised by householders. it was for people who were asetics and sannyasis. Krishnamacharya,Pattabhi and Iyengar made yoga famous in common households not just in India but outside as well. It is good that you respect Shivananda but see what Iyengar has done also and respect it. Others like Kdham and The Yoga institute of Maharashtra also played very important roles.

@@raghvendratripathi3911 Thats not true... Come to Pune, Iyengar made yoga famous in Maharashtra he specially settled in Maharashtra for that. Krishnamacharya also went to Chennai. Many times North Indians forget that South and West India is also there. Shivananda was a sanyasi himself and as I said yoga was primary practice of sannyasis not of householders.

Balley/abdominal breathing should not be practise in its absolute form, there is something called yogic breathing which should be practised. For reference you go through this book: Yoga and Kriya by Swami Satyananda Saraswati.
