Being Indian even I don't take unreserved class in Indian trains, there is a service called tatkal please use it and its worth it. Its much safer.
What is Tatkal? I do solo traveling in India so perhaps thet will benefit me

Why would you take a train! lol, I am an Indian and I would't take a train unless it's a chair class. No way am I traveling in an overnight train. I need my privacy and peace of mind. Oh well.
