I like all the new Sprinng colors by DIY but I love the blue and green best. Your projects turned out so pretty and those are some funny chickens but I loved that box! You are such an expert with your paint techniques and I am learning a lot from your channel. Thank you.

You did a great job on all of these projects. I think I like the chickens on the pizza board best. They have a bit of an “American Gothic” feel to them. You did a fantastic job blending the paint into the color of the paper, by the way. 🙂

*Rachel, ALL 3 of your projects today are so beautiful❣️😊 The Ceramic Chicken - with its original primary colors - turned out so much nicer with the neutral treatment you gave it. 🤍 IMHO it was too gaudy when you thrifted it - but to each their own style in their own homes❣️😉*
*I have L❤️VED the Roycycled Decoupage Paper with the two curious, quirky Chicken's faces, ever since Royce made it available last year❣️❣️❣️😊 Every time I see their expressions, it makes me laugh, because to me it looks as though these Chickens are peering out of their Chicken Coop to see what the weather is like, or what the other Chickens are doing in their run in the yard. It's almost as though the two Chickens are nosy, busy-bodies sticking their beaks in where they don't belong, LOL‼️🤣🤣🤣*
*I absolutely L💚VE your color choices of Aviary and Crinoline on your square(ish) wicker basket with the lid❣️ I thought it was so pretty the way you found it, BUT the colors you chose to paint it are FABULOUS and two of my FAVORITE COLORS - ESPECIALLY SINCE THEY LOOK LIKE LEGITIMATELY OLD-TIMEY COLORS FROM THE 1930's, LOL‼️🤣🤣🤣💚‼️ I am SO HAPPY you DIDN'T paint the vintage brass hardware on the the front of the wicker basket, because the PATINA IS PERFECT‼️😁💚 IMHO, though, you shouldn't have painted the hinges on the back of the basket - you should have left the hinges brass to match the brass patina of the latch on the front of the basket. To me, the hardware looks like it is fighting with each other, because they don't match, LOL‼️🙉😔*
*THE WICKER BASKET WITH THE LID IS DEFINITELY MY 🤍💚FAVORITE💚🤍 PROJECT this time❣️😉🥰💜💕*
I love those goofy chickens in that Roycycled paper, too. It's hard not to smile when you look at them. I'm glad you liked the chest - I was kind of nervous about putting the paper on the wicker as I had never tried it before, and I was really happy with how it came out. I love the Aviary and Crinoline combo as well - it's funny to me how many people out there don't like green. It's one of my favorites! Anyway, thank you very much!! :)

I love watching you and how good you and your voice is so pleasing. I watched you do the chicken, and I just cannot see going over it 4 times., that is just so time consuming on one thing. How can you make a profit with putting so much time on it ?

As far as my profit margin on the chicken - yes, some projects take a bit more time to complete than it's "really" worth putting in to - however - I am here at my shop anyway and I love creating and keeping things filled so I don't really mind the time. Not to mention that I am also doing these things for my CZcams subscribers. :)

Great job with matching the paint on the chickens, it turned out great. I LOVE the green box. I am trying to decide about mod podge or liquid patina, which do you prefer.
Sure wish you lived closer I would come to your shop regularly. I live in Longview WA
Thank you so much!! :) I would probably stick to Mod Podge for really thick items like card stock, but other than that, I would prefer the Patina. :) And if you ever find yourself in this neck of the woods I hope you'll stop in!! :)
Too funny but I just came across a pizza board on FB the other day and two days later found another one at Goodwill 😂 Thanks to your inspiration, I'm going to make one the roosters and the other the cows. Crossing fingers and toes I can blend like you did. I don't have Big Top yet, so I am hoping wax will be a good enough sealant. 😊 This will also be the first time I've used Rocycle. We finally have a place here in Montana that sells it.

Hi Rachel, how long do you let the Rustoleum paint dry before you paint over it? Sometimes it seems to stay tacky for a while and then it doesn’t take the paint well.
I try to let it dry until it's not tacky to the touch. I cheat though . . . I have a gas fireplace in my shop with a flat top and I will sometimes stick things on it and they dry faster, lol.
What is the name of the paper with the rooster and chicken on it? I would love to order it
