- I used one of my new Roycycled Decoupage Papers to transform a thrifted platter, and added a couple of salvaged items from my stash to create a small farmhouse vignette! I also gave a vintage cabinet that I've had in my "to do" pile for a while a new look!

The table turned out beautifully. It wouldn't fit in my current decor, but if I had something it would go with, I would use that soft orange on some things. I'm sure someone will fall in love with it.

Great projects! Putting a little sawtooth hanger on the rooster plate will make it more versatile. I LOVE the sweet potato color and your cabinet was awesome!

That cockerel paper is absolutely lovely. Personally I think people can stick a hanger on the back themselves if they want to, it's easier to add than take away..

I have to say I probably wouldn’t have picked the color for the cabinet but I absolutely loved it! It was a perfect choice. And yes, add a hook to hang the large piece on the wall. As always, great job.

Rachel, I loved all your projects today. I really like how you highlighted the details on the cabinet. Honestly, that color is gorgeous. It’s such a muted color. It would look great in so many rooms. For the rooster platter, if it had a flat spot on the bottom you could put it on a chunky candle stick and make a riser. But, I love it as is. I think I have a rooster decoupage paper in my stash. The cabinet turned out really good Rachel! I would put it in my home for sure. I love the rooster plate too. I would leave the hanger off of it only because if someone wants to display it they can put it on a shelf and still use it in the kitchen too. Love your videos as always. Have a good week hun!

*Rachel I L💟VED projects 1 & 3 and wish I could BUY the little metal box and the rooster - and I don't typically like things distressed - BUT I L💟VED that metal box distressed, because it really shows the design of that medallion on the front❣️🥰 I actually liked the candle stick where the ribbed part was distressed, just not the other parts distressed - and it IS a beautiful color‼️😊*
*Now, for the sweet potato 🍠 cabinet. The details on that cabinet are GORGEOUS❣️🥰 The finish turned out beautifully with the sanding and dark waxing - it almost looks like a beachy, melony color - like a very ripe cantaloupe. 😃 This cabinet wouldn't "go" with my decor; however, if I had shades of orange🍊 in my decor, I would DEFINITELY want this piece of furniture in my home, because it is so unique. 😊 If ● I ● had refinished this piece, I would have sanded and wood stained the bottom (because I L🤎VE the look of wood) and used oxalic acid on the top to try to remove the blotches. If the stains STILL didn't come out. I would have painted the top ONLY in a light wisteria purple 💜 color and used in in my garden-themed wisteria bedroom, LOL.🤣🤣🤣*

I love that each piece of furniture offers an almost infinite amount of possibilities as far as color and design - sometimes I end up just leaving a piece alone for a while because it's too hard to decide exactly what I want to do to it . . . You always do a professional job on all your projects, it's hard to pick a favorite. But because I love roosters, I'd have to pick that. I've never been an orange person, but that cabinet is fabulous! I love how that dark wax toned it down.

Oh Rachel, I absolutely love the Rooster! In my opinion, he is way too handsome to be used as a platter. I vote for the hanger or possibly a plate holder. That way he can be set upright in a china cabinet. To my surprise, I really did like the sweet potato cabinet. Love how subtle the dark wax was. It was just right. Have a great time thrifting, hope you find something super cool.

Everything looks wonderful! I would put a small hanger on the Rooster piece that way if someone wants to hang it they can or use a plate holder to stand it up. I loved the cabinet, just not a big fan of orange , but I must to admit the sweet potato color is pretty.

I'm going to be making a faux window frame with the Plexi glass from Amazon and I'm planning to use that same rooster paper! I love it and my mom is going to absolutely love her window frame! That cabinet was surprisingly beautiful, sweet potato appears to be a GREAT soft fall color!!! The platter would be great with a hanger as an option!

Love the platter and like it as is no hanger. I would not use the sweet potato in the house but I do use colors on old furniture for my back porch.

Sweet potato cabinet is beautiful. A piece of art using the Roycycled paper with pumpkins would complement it perfectly. I think the rooster round would work well with an easel.

Love the projects. Will keep the rooster as platter or standing among other things on a vignette. You did a good job with the cabinet, but eish, I'm not a fan of orange, in any shade, at all.

First time watching. Love the DIY paint and the Roycycle papers. On the Rooster tray, I am curious why you cut around the edge after applying instead of sanding it off. Just wondering if you were going for a specific look or if you thought the sanding would take away from the dark rim? It looks wonderful and I want to do something similar. 😊
Welcome! And yes - I didn't want to sand away the black, so sanding the edges wasn't an option. I tried "cutting" the decoupage paper with water on a scrap piece, but the edges ended up frayed and I didn't want that look either - so the only solution I could come up with was cutting it with a blade. Time consuming, but I love the way it looks. :) Anyway - thank you, and thanks for watching!
