How the song came to be:
In December of 2021. I was still living in Zagreb, one afternoon I sat working in my digital audio workstation (which then was Cubase 11 Pro) and I came across this chorus melody by playing in MIDI synths. At first it was meant to be a song about protesting against religious extremism, but it swiftly took a different turn, of which I am glad, although, it's up to interpretation. One could say robots and religious extremists are one and the same. Little did I know then how big artificial intelligence and robotics would be a few years into the future. So the verse melody I wrote and lyrics I've created, felt a bit outdated. That's why I changed up the verses literally 2 days before the mastering process of the song (which was just a crazy choice). The crazy choice paid off, though. I squeezed some of my best lyrical work ever out of it. The internal rhyme structures and emphasis placements are just wild. There's parts of the song where I use a vocoder to emphasize that the pre-chorus is a two way street, you can listen to it as if robots are singing it to humans or the other way around. I love it.
