Here we take a look at a brand that I was not expecting to be so impressed with. And that brand is Oct Tenth.
I had seen their shoes online and it really showed just how much photos can not do justice to the true quality and craftsmanship of a product. I often find that the case with shoes.
These double monks by Oct Tenth were nothing shy of amazing. I was highly surprised by how well they fit, felt, and looked. I definitely invite you to learn more about them if you have been on the fence. You won't be disappointed!

My man, allow me to say that as a Chinese, I didn't know so many New Chinese brands are opening in the past few years. Yes, I don't work in the industry and so shouldn't feel ashamed about it, but holy smoke! Thank you for this consistent work of introducing new and interesting shoe makers around the world!

I've been following these brands for a long time, and I think they can actually both achieve an ideal state in craftsmanship, but not every brand has a real soul and tone of its own. To some extent, I feel that Oct Tenth, although priced lower, has its own narrative in design, whereas ACME Shoemaker is merely "showing off".

Hey My Brother. Trust all is well. Yea those Oct-Tenth Double Monks are Sharp. I agree with you saying they have that Aggressive Look. They got this "Edge Look"! I guess you'd say Chisel Toe, Soft Spade Sole, Pitched Heel and this Snake Split Tongue of a Strap. Like they wanna do some "Kung Fu Fighting"😂. Yes their Aggressive for sure. I like'em. Once again My Man. I keep going back and looking at that Oct Tenth Double Monk Strap. It's like that what to said. "It Looks Aggressive". Like a Heavy Metal Rock Star and Gentlemen had a Shoe😀😀. What was the name of the shoe? I most definitely call it the "Violent Gentleman" !! ... It's Rowdy, Sexy, Gentleman's Shoe. For me it's the Waist and Pitched back end that makes it Elegant. Like my Plum Sunnysides's I have from you with the Pitched Heels. Its a privilege to wear Your Brand.

Have you heard about Oblum, I believe you made a blog post about them a while back. They're making waves on Instagram and have garnered good reviews. Their hand patina and Sukhoi last look very attractive.

I have heard of them (and yes, wrote about them) but have not seen the shoes in person. When they are ready to send me a pair, I am ready to review them ;-)

How would you compare the quality of Oct 10 to something like John Lobb or Edward Green? Thanks Justin.
You cannot really compare quality at a certain level as it simply becomes what you value. If the shoes use the top materials what starts to separate them is last shapes, shoe design and finishing features all of which dont make the shoe "better" in terms of quality. Its all preference. I think that the value of what you are spending versus what you are getting is much greater in Oct Tenth then in the brands you mentioned

The thing is that I did not order them. They offered them. I don't think how long it took them to make for me in order to make a video for marketing purposes would be similar to that of a client purchasing a pair

I’ve heard mostly horror stories about the wait time & the lack of response when questioned about status of your order. I love their product though. I did place an order about 3 weeks ago - just hoping everything I’ve read & heard in relation to their service & actual lead time is incorrect.

Their quality is akin to Acme, yes.
And ACME is stunning, but at a price point I am not willing to go to, YET.
