My wife has one as our family hauler, it’s a very nice truck. We bought it in 2018(it’s a 2008 too) . 4wd, ltz, actually good for towing our boat which isn’t very big. 2 car seats fit correctly on the back bucket seats and there’s a DVD player. It has 128k miles and no problems.

I have a 99 tahoe 4 door, it's my iron steed with the classic/old body. But these new ones sure look nice, they always catch my eye when I drive past them.
I love the tahoe sound i had a hyundai acent before the tahoe and the accent was slow and it had no options altough the tahoe was a 2008 and it was an ls whitch meant it has no options it was actually better than the accent and the engine power was better
Ya the newer ones have smaller but more efficient motors. But honestly my 99 Tahoe is my boy, getting about 16 mpg combined, and it's close to 20mpg on freeway depending on the many variables like speed, the fuel quality, wind direction, temperature, dew point etc.

I have seen one with a 6.2 but those are rare ...maybe swapped? Sorry couldn't answer your question

Yep because we definitely have the time to do that instead of just filling them at the Wawa 3 blocks away when it’s convenient.
