Asante is the confederation. Kwaaman is the state that fought against Dormaa BEFORE Asante was formed.
Kwaaman called for support from Offinso and some other states but Asante (Kwaaman, Mampong, Asumegya, Bekwae, Juaben, Kokofu, ...) had not been formed.

Ghana is a sovereign democratic political state. President Akuffo Addo is the main boss. The legislature and Judiciary are the other arms of Ghana government. There is no king in Ghana because the Asantehene does not wield any power in the Ghanaian political dispensation. In Europe (Denmark, Monaco, Britain etc.), Saudi Arabia. Japan, Thailand and others have kings and their legislatures report directly to those kings. In Ghana, there is no king because the Asantehene does not have the same power as the other kings around the world. . The truth is that President Akuffo Addo has every power over the Asantehene. Period!! The Asantehene can be arrested If he goes against the laws of the land. Truthly, the Asantehene is a paramount chief per the constitution of Ghana. However, it is with respect that our politicians let forgo issues with the Asantehene and other paramount chiefs. FYI, the Asantehene is under every law that is enshrined in the constitution of mother Ghana. Stop the distortion in your interpretation of known facts and rather be truthful to your viewers.
The very European and Western world recognise Otumfuo as king. The kings in the nations you did mention are also under the authority of the constitution and can be arrested. Ghana Prez can slso be arrested if he flouts the law. No one is above the law, pls.

In Ghana once a law is passed by parliament and vetted by the judiciary, the president signs it into law. The Asantehene has no power when it comes to political power in Ghana. However, Kings of those countries I mentioned do. No-one within our political circles consults the Asantehene when matters bordering on the constitution, legislation and laws arises. He is paramount chief. I cant take away the fact that he is king to only the Ashantis but not other tribes and groups within Ghana. The Gas, Dagombas, Ewes, Akyems, Fantis and other groups have their paramount chiefs. The powers wield by these paramount chiefs (kings) within their communities are equivalent to that of the Asantehene to Ashantis.
