i love these 4 characters but I honestly cant wait to see Toph's introduction. She was my favorite in the series.

The way Aang's actor says "jelly beans help" gives me an unreasonable amount of hope for his acting.
That part made me think the same thing. And seeing his martial arts. Hes good. Im so glad theyre trained martial artists. I train in all 4 of these styles and more and they really do look so good. And the chemistry in interviews. That gives so much hope.

The bending is actually based on differnt martial art styles so im sure they choreographedit with that in mind. Which is pretty cool
Agreed but Iroh doing all that fancy arm movement that didn't actually help him firebend is very much not like the cartoon. Not quite out of the water yet lol. That kinda super stylistic, cool to the point of becoming cheesy, touch they always feel compelled to add to as many scenes as possible is just part of the culture & Netflix isn't immune from its influence. They're so worried about appealing to fans they throw in flashy crouching tiger cinematic nonsense. Let's hope they care about making good stuff instead of trying so hard to look cool they ironically end up ruining it

I’m the most concerned about his character. In season 1 he needs to be the villain. I’m worried they’re setting him up as this anti hero from the start

he is Simu Liu's cousin I'm kind of hoping eventually they get him to play General Iroh II if there's a possibility of that happening in a legend of korra spin off.

Had an issue about Aangs staff, it was too small😁
Their movements look AWESOME! Especially Aang, for his age he’s incredibly skilled. I was worried a real kid wouldn’t be able to pull of Aangs moves, but this is IT
Mannnn, if you’ve taken or seen some martial arts classes you will see kids with so much fire and discipline. As a kid I trained karate with my dad, and a kid that was slightly younger than me just had the passion and zeal of like a spartan warrior.
Kid is crazy gifted.
And the boy is a skateboarder! He only did taekwondo briefly when he was younger

Gordon's already growing so fast! I feel like they'll have to lengthen the timeline of the show by a couple years just to account for his voice and growth spurts. It would certainly be a bit silly trying to pass off a 16 year old as a 12 year old once Book 3 comes around lol

They already addressed that. And I really think that once this first season takes off they'll greenlight season 2 and 3 for back to back filming.
Kiawentiio was INCREDIBLE in her first ever role in Netflix’s “Anne With An E”. I can’t wait to see her performance as Katara!

To be fair i think people thought they might save her bending until book 2 if they get one. In her first fight against zuko she never showed her blue bending also so i get it. I could see them having her in flashbacks with her fire orange and then eventually turning blue.

This cast's chemistry and friendship is off the charts. I can't wait till it get to Book 3/Season 3 when they finally all get together. It's going to be the best. So excited for how this Team Avatar will flourish with all they do for this show and franchise 💖 ✨️

So I am a 49 year old woman and I used to watch this with my now 21 year old son when he was around 7 or 8 and I was as invested in the saga as he was! It was OUR thing! Then years later came Korra and I started watching that with my two younger sons. I adore this show and I love this new adaptation. The cast is AMAZING, and the young lady playing Kitara is absolutely adorable. King Bumi and Toph along with Uncle Iroh are my faves. Team AVATAR for life!

I am really liking zuko live action the more i watch. I feel like he is the most synchronised with the anime character. His voice is really similar. And i am actually quite loving him in real life. These 4 are actually feels like the anime characters actually coming to life. And i am liking the real life action katara more than the cartoon one. And zuko looking really good with those moves
Gordon's puberty must hit like a bomb if they want to keep the ending of the story with Aang and Katara as a couple. Otherwise, there's definitely a not-so-small fanbase that wants the next Fire Lord's wife to be a waterbender.

Idk abt the emotion part, for a fictional world they made us empathize with all of the main cast in the original show. For an animated series, that pain of war and loss did feel real. The bar is hiigh set. But all in all, I'm very excited for this live action to finally come out and to see what the cast can deliver!
