omg! i would cry my eyes out having any" guitar mike campbell owned!! saw the heartbreakers 22 times!!! huge fan!!! MIKE IS THE REASON I BOUGHT A GUITAR!! most of the songs i play are tom petty songs, man my wish is to have any one of these guitars!! my dream actually!!!! ...for now.. ill just be runnin down a dream!! ...
Peter Lewis of Moby Grape played a Guild Thunderbird in their early days....My first guitar was a Harmony Rocket II August '63. Your tour of gear brought back lots of memories....
I have one of those Heathkit TA-16 amps. Nice amp. Powerful. A high school buddy built one 50 years ago, and I was jealous. So when one popped up on a local 2nd hand site for $80, I pulled the trigger. The input transistors had become noisy over the years, but replacing them fixed it up.
OMG! I had a Magnatone amp exactly like that! Inherited it from my older brother who got it in 1962. I resurrected it when I started playing in 1971. Had KILLER natural distortion! I had no idea how sought-after those vintage tube amps became. Even with it all dilapidated, I sold it for $650 in 2011. Best thing: Mike's "Calhoun" distortion pedal mimics the exact same natural distortion. So glad I found one!! I counted 5 guitars (Gibson 12-string, Silver Sage, Italia Monza, thin-body "Black Beauty!!") I'd love to snag...but the bidding is sure to be won by buyers with wheel barrels of discretionary income. Mad respect for you, Mike Campbell!!
Lovely window into the psychology of guitar enthusiasts. How many guitars and amps do you need? Well, just one more! Don't get me wrong, I'm as guilty as any of us :-)
Mike, I’ve been looking for VOX amp. I’m an old dude (turning 70 this year) partially blind and limited on funds, so I’ll have to limit my wants to something small but I always dreamed of owning a VOX SOME DAY. really dig the stuff you’ve done and are doing. Best of luck to you brother. Love you channel!
Not necessarily. Official “Artist” Reverb Shops usually have the gear priced appropriately for what it is with very little (if any) increase because of the celebrity ownership. Of course, there are exceptions if it was a significant piece of gear in the artist’s career or if it was used for a significant tour(s) (especially if there is video of it being used). What Mike is selling doesn’t look like anything that was really significant to his time with the Heartbreakers.
I was amazed how much Mike's singing voice is like Mr Petty's..... Saw them supporting Nils Lofgren in 1976... Then on what was to be their final tour...... Sorely missed in our household.... When we do open mics there's always space for a bit of Heartbreakers
I could not find the Mike Campbell website on Reverb. The design of the Reverb app website could use a tune up. I don’t find it helpful when trying to find a local shop. Cool gear!
The full website is tremendously better than the app. With the app it is damn near impossible to search a specific shop unless you are already following it or happen upon something they have listed.
I love how they skipped over what I believe is a Mustang in the second rack - not that I can afford one, but if I bought a guitar off Mike Campbell’s stand it would have to be that one
Being a big fan of Tom Petty for the last 35 years I would love to own a piece of Mike's old gear, but I doubt I'd be able to afford even the postage from the US to England 😐
Yeah...uh...I will buy one of them piggy-back blonde Bassman amps , the white Epiphone ES guitar , the Framus 12-string acoustic , and the Black Beauty LP from the 1980's...Yummy !
I agree with everyone that this gear definitely isn’t anything JB would be interested in buying. That being said it could very well be bought by the guy who bought everything from Dave Mustaine’s Reverb Shop.
I have a better idea. Instead of selling guitars that you hardly use for 5 figures each, how about having a contest where people can do a duel off for guitars that you have. There's a lot of possible formats for this. Have a couple of judges, and you don't have to be a virtuoso. Just a love of rock and roll. Everybody wins.
His estimated net worth is in the $60M to $70M range according to various internet estimates. I think that he'll be fine even if people don't buy his stuff.
@@chancemiller9340 He’s not hurting for money or work since Tom Petty’s unfortunate passing. How many guitarists can say that they have toured with Fleetwood Mac, recorded a new album with their own band, and produced albums for others?
No one buy that SG please, Campbell is one of my favorite guitar players and I've always wanted an SG just never had the money but I've squirreled away a bit, hopefully it's listed at a reasonable price. It'll compliment my poor man's Gibson, an Epiphone Les Paul, same colour. So back off everyone, lol.
Most of these guitars are ones he’s really never played much. Not worth extra money just because he owned it. I’ll pass. Definitely owns too many guitars. More than 20 is silly.
Mike Campbell’s guitar playing has been my private joy for over 40 years. A guitarist guitarist.
Exactly
Agreed!!
Now I know why a lot of these guitars are hard to find in vintage places...MIKE BOUGHT THEM ALL* !!
I have a great deal of respect for Mike Campbell , the guy has real class .
And brazen cheek selling off the flotsam and jetsam.
Extremely underrated, and underappreciated.
Jeez, no one else has gone this in depth for all the stuff they’re selling in Reverb.
You should look for the Neal Schon auction he's got coming up....
and he has some cool tunings he uses
My husband would love ANYTHING from Mike. Fr. Hope we can snag a piece of history from this icon. 🙏
We got SO LUCKY and my husband got what he wanted. So very Happy. Thank you so much Mike Campbell. 💓
I would love to see a show of guys like Mike just traveling around the world interviewing other gurus and seeing their hidden guitar stashes.
Thus is actually a good idea and he would be really good at it i think

Mike: "alot of these guitars have had a few bumps and bruises along the way... while we were making this video" ;)
I like that he doesn't baby them. Putting them back...adding dings, etc :)

Give Norman a call he will buy them all
Norman will add a 35% premium to the price. Guarantee you that selling on Reverb, even using a packing agent, will cost no more than half of his fee.
He sounds so much like Tom. My god I miss that man. Love the video. Great gear.
Thought the same thing; man...the similarity is uncanny. Sounds just like Tom.
2 guys from Gainesville. Southern accents.

You’re big time when you’ve got a dude with a long beard standing in your garage waiting to hand your things
Haaaa Haaaa!
Who is bigger time than Mike ? That be Chinner Winstead a legendary tech.
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa'!!!
He's always had an awesome collection
I had a L5 in the 80's and loved it... mid range crossover & built in compression is a bonus.
"I don't have room for this stuff, so buy some of them, so I can buy more!" LOL
It's Amazing how much Mike Campbell reminds me of Tom Petty with Dark Hair Color ! ; )
CZcams: "Mike Campbell is selling some gear"
Me: "There's no way I'd ever be able to afford any of it. Lemme drool over it anyway." 😅🤤

Pretty sure I couldn’t afford any of these gems!
Maybe we can chip in and time share.
Because not only are you paying for the brand name, you're also paying for Mike's name.
Gems? It's the dross of his collection.
Not necessarily.

i have never ever seen any of these guitars before. so cool!
those 1st two les pauls were great.love to own any of it.plus it was owned by the heartbreakers!!
OH MY GOD I WOULD ABSOLUTELY LOVE TO OWN ANYTHING FROM THIS BAND IT WOULD BE A DREAM COME TRUE. HELL EVEN ONE OF THEUR HATS.
Nice stuff, I had that Heathkit amp in '67, wow thanks for sharing.
Dang. Luv all your videos. Insider stuff. Cheers Mike
Now if one of his Princeton Reverbs was for sale, I might be interested
Sweet!! Mike is the best!
Damn... wheres that next stimulus?! NOW THIS is a reverb shop
Always ready to kick it up to 11.
Come on Mike. Need some pedals!
Wonder how much that Lab Series amp is going to go for.
I love it!
5:44 a palm wah, interesting
Love how these are the guitars he's GETTING RID OF.

It’s not live yet. Kinda annoying they publish these videos weeks in advance. Not that I could afford any of this stuff anyway...
Oh, thank you man, I appreciate the information.
Still would benefit from hiring a UX expert.

...so I can buy new stuff... perfect!
he means new to him vintage stuff. he is vintage all the way, havent you heard the awesome tones on their albums?
Damn ….Mike your killing me ….I’ll take some …how do I get a hold you you
I'd love to own that 'Fucker ShitBlaster' at 6:10 😆
I love how they skipped over what I believe is a Mustang in the second rack - not that I can afford one, but if I bought a guitar off Mike Campbell’s stand it would have to be that one
I want the Framus Bass, Mike!
I need that F*cker Sh*tblaster!
You know he's old school when he uses the word "choice". Man I'd love to get something but I'm awaiting a guitar at the moment it just can't happen.
Damn, hanging out with Tom Petty for years, give you the duck voice virus.
Now for Bonamassa to buy them all…
Being a big fan of Tom Petty for the last 35 years I would love to own a piece of Mike's old gear, but I doubt I'd be able to afford even the postage from the US to England 😐
Dangd if he ain't got the coolest stuff on reverb.
..I like his honesty too ...buy my old stuff so I can buy me sum new old stuff lol
OK- casino heist. Who's with me?
Joe Bonamassa gonna buy em all
I want his hat collection.
Mike Campbell looks like a guy who is dressed up as Mike Campbell
Ahhh; going for the ‘59 Les Paul I see.
Are you going go on the Road with the heartbreakers?
I wonder if he picked up calling everything “choice” from touring with Neil Finn.
❤️
How much for the black Les Paul
Yeah...uh...I will buy one of them piggy-back blonde Bassman amps , the white Epiphone ES guitar , the Framus 12-string acoustic , and the Black Beauty LP from the 1980's...Yummy !
He says he
He says he’s selling this stuff so he can buy new stuff….So new stuff is better than vintage stuff? I totally agree lol.
new stuff isnt necessarily a non vintage guitars, he can buy a vintage guitar that is new to himself
How do I buy your guitars
*strums horribly out of tune ES-125*
"Beautiful sound."
dry humor. love it
How much for the brown SG?
that guitar at 4:35….how is that spelled? i cant find anything on it anywhere
Joe Bonamassa will probably buy all these LOL
I am sure he already did 😂😂😂
@@Lalairu Joe only buys decent gear.

How much for the s g
You don't hear Americans use the word "choice" in that context very often. Perhaps Neil Finn's influence?
Excuse me Sir… How much for the Boss GT6???
No pedals?
I’m fairly certain that I can’t afford a single item in this store.
Nothing here for us common folks.
I'll take two, but first I'll have to sell my wife's other kidney. OK, just one.
Funny how he sounds just like Tom.
It’s his Florida accent
"It's got a wang bar on it..."
Rickenbackers??????😁

HEEEEYYYYY FLUFF!???!
No thanks. I have a nice strat and a princeton. I dondt need more.... maybe some replacement strings some day....
I hope he isn't selling them because he needs to, but because ehe actually wants to put the money towards something for himself or his family
this is just some of his oddball stuff. wheres the old strats, teles, les pauls, 335,s ?? he aint cuttin loose with the juice

Take this crap over to St. Auggie and I'll dispose of it for you...

he really needs to stop dying his barnet!!
Be pure sound there mike and send me some for free thanks 😩
