  • Alright it took me a while but those of you who follow me on social media knew what I was up to..
For some reason I've decided I gotta buy a guitar, strip it out of paint and re paint it in a nice color.
I've found this really cool Jackson DK LT for a fair price and went for it!
Filled the single coil routes with epoxy and painted it with Montana Hardcore spray cans.
    It came out pretty awesome!
I really should have uploaded each video in his own time, but I kept bulking videos, so I've decided to upload all the footage I have in one long video and get it over with.
I hope some of you will manage to watch the whole thing haha!
If not at least make sure to watch the beginning and the end ;)
It took me around 45 hours of work from beginning to the end.
I've loaded the guitar with a ceramic Nailbomb pickup made by Bare Knuckle Pickups, ill make a video about the pickup in a different video!
    Enjoy!

    The zebra pickup is killer.

Came out beautiful!! The end result was worth all the hard work you put into it. Looks phenomenal.

I love Kramers and I love Jacksons. That looks like like the baby of them. Just needs a tilted pickup. Love it.

      Thanks!
Never had a Kramer but I'm definitely thinking about getting one, the day will come 😁

It would have been great if you’d made a video series documenting the mods and changes - this is exactly what I’m doing to an old Warlock I got with the same intention as you. Strip it, fill the neck pick up making it single humbucker and single volume only, ditch the strat-style bridge for a Schaller FR style bridge (with the Kahler string lock from your Charvel video), and repaint the body.

      Cool man!
I really didn't feel comfortable working and filming the whole thing through, that's rough!
But I believe I went through every step with photos at least.
      Good luck with it!

@@OferHolan I’m just finishing the video so I can see why you did it as you did - looks so good after the polishing! You even put in the exact pickup in I’m going to use too (the Nailbomb). My question about the refinish is: did you sand the clear coat between coats, or just let it dry and apply another coat? I didn’t catch if you sanded it back before the next coat of clear. If I can get my finish go come out like yours I’ll be so happy!

I refinished a Jackson JS22-7 that I took a screw driver to because I had the dumbass idea to "relic" it a few years back. Used a black spray paint that's shiny so now it's a glossier shiny coat of darker black than the matte black it used to be.

They don't make Charvel's at this level of quality anymore even the fretboard quality is outstanding the binding around the neck is ivory and not to mention the shark fin inlays are REAL MOTHER OF PEARL not mother of tolitseat I also love 22 frets it has more bite and sustain 89 to 91 is my favorite years for The Charvel's they are made in JAPAN and the quality is is unsurpassed made in the Gakai factory by Samurai sword smith's too bad the tsunami wiped out that factory send me your email I'll send you photos of my Charvel's bro also thanks for sharing and showing the heat 🔫 trick beautiful work 😀.

What putty did you use to fill the single coil holes I don't like the middle pickup in the way.
