@@OferHolan And Shalom! My mother is from Israel. Although I have never been there I know how intense it is. L.A. is a much less serious place. And when you do find people who take themselves too seriously, just avoid them. Keep positive people around you and go for forward momentum. Constantly push your music 24/7. Things will happen. And don't forget to play loud!

@@angusorvid8840 Hey man thanks so much for that comment!
      Couldn't agree more.
Yeah LA is really chill compared to Israel haha.. can't wait to start discovering the music scene here. gotta play loud!

Love LA so much and the hard rock and metal scene is great there. Good luck and enjoy! I lived in LA for about a decade. People are nice and it’s not fake, but it also doesn’t mean that you’re instant friends either. People are motivated in their creative efforts and can take some time to meet cool people, but as you know musicians and bandmates are always a great place to start.

Be sure to check out some of the great custom builder shops in So Cal. There is a lot of guitar building talent in this town.

      Got any recommendations?

@@OferHolan If you want a custom guitar built from scratch I recommend John Carruthers. He's actually in Camarillo last time I checked which is in Ventura County. But when I had him build me a guitar with a neck like the ones he was building for Clapton he was located in Venice. That was in 1991. His stuff is expensive but world class. Then there is Performance Guitar in Hollywood. I think they are on Cahuenga. They've built guitars for everyone including Vai and Demartini. If you need repair work or customization on an ax I recommend Sal at the Sam Ash in Hollywood. The best tech I've ever gone to. Does top notch work. Then there is Bill Asher around Santa Monica or Venice. He used to work on my guitars when he worked out of the old, long gone Ace Music in Santa Monica. I think he works from home. But he's great and he builds his own line of guitars. Another great one is Paul Flynn who is the owner or co-owner of Truetone Music in Santa Monica. There's a lot of guitar building going on in SoCal. Schecter has a factory in Sun Valley/Tujunga and Tom Anderson has a place around Thousand Oaks. Great builders/companies. There are a lot of builders and repair guys. I just can't think of all of them right now. I know Hoshino has a custom factory. I believe they own Ibanez. But their factory is not far from the Schecter factory in Sun Valley/Tujunga. I've not visited either location. But I do love Schecter guitars. Not a big Ibanez fan. They just never feel sturdy enough or have enough resonance.
