Never been in the Effingham (plough) myself either John, top video, you did a fantastic job of engaging the staff and getting to know the traditional history of the pub and what the locals think and call the pub, not bad that considering that the staff didn’t want to be on camera !!!! £2.25 a pint, you should be on commission for promoting the prices, nice one mate ✊✊wonder why they call it the Bridge Inn ? Random ! Wonder why it’s shut …..could be due to that for sale sign outside ?? 😂 keep up the great work

Ha cheers Chris, ya know what it was a great pub the effingham, had no idea why the bridge in was shut, but it's still in business, apparently it opens later in the day. I've wrote that one off now, there's plenty more to film.

Eyup John lad , nice try just a shame da din't get in't Bridge inn not a bad pub that and I like the new decor of the plough /Effingham although I think da were reyt about the little Effingham been the one on wortley road but could be wrong . Unfortunately in this day and age pub openin times are all over't place it's deffo not what it were back in our day even when hours were shorter they were always folk in em . Personally I think that all day drinking hours did more harm than good it deffo got rid of the dress code but then again I'm just an old Gammon what do I know ? Anyway look forward to next one si di soon pal👍

There used to be bands on at The Bridge Inn mid 2000s. I remeber seeing a couple when I visited Rotherham around 2010, I think. Is The Cat N Cabbage still open?

Bridge Inn is probably my favourite pub in the town centre. Properly unique and old school.
Hopefully it's not shut for food and you get in. I'll treat thi.
