Assassins in Concert - Curtain Call Speech and Encore

Last night, the Classic Stage Company held a benefit concert production of Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman's Assassins starring the full company of the 2021 Off-Broadway production. The original production's last week of shows was cancelled due to COVID cases, and director and CSC's artistic director John Doyle took to the stage before the show calling the performance their "closing night". He resumed to the stage after the show to share some thanks, a few incredibly touching words, and to invite the company for an encore of the show's final song, the reprise of Everybody's Got The Right.
