Good examples how to use the gimbal but using the speed ramp technique to cover up your mishaps was a disappointment.
Also their framing goes to shit when trying these techniques (which I do like). They need more practice.

If you’re gonna do those slight cuts, that defeats the purpose of having a continuous shot. Because you can literally just shoot the other angle and cut to it...

I'd be careful with the chair, a small bump can be enough to fall and land right on your camera and gimbal, that's gotta be pretty expensive

wait... I don't have a Gimbal so I'm not sure, but why do you need the chair to follow the skater? isn't the Gimbal there to stabilize the shot even if you're walking? or why turning the camera with your phone, can you rotate the pole? (I know you still need to tilt down) use a ladder instead of a rope... or the pole!!... I don't get it...
Its hard to run that fast with a skater while still keeping the shot smooth and tracking the subject. Also its not possible to move the gimbal like that on a boom pole without using the app to control the direction, because the way you move the gimbal dictates where the camera faces so the boom pole wouldnt be able to move the camera.
A ladder is also possible, but for this shot they used a rope i guess to quickly move it up and down from the balcony
You're wrong, gimbal isn't the magic thing that makes all looks ultra smooth. Gimbal has 3-axis stabilization, that means there's also a fourth axis which are your footsteps and other up/down shakes.
You can concentrate on framing your shot while your friend handle the movement of the chair while keeping eye for environment or any obstacle, surely it's better IMO
