I’m falling so heavy in love with Diptyque fragrances. They may fade away after hours or by the next day, but they maintain their true scent. And I’ll take that every time. SO MANY mainstream florals start out really genuine and gorgeous like a garden so fresh, but then by tomorrow your clothes will smell like spicy vanilla and it will never fade … Every single time, no floral left at all. So honestly, I’d rather lose the scent than be left with hot vanilla that gives me a headache.
Great review on Diptique! I have always thought the artwork and the bottles were gorgeous. I want a bottle if only for that!! Phylosikos is on my list, and will purchase as soon as I finish Hermes Un Jardin en Mediterranee, since they are very similar.

It is definitely fig but it has this gorgeous, intense green note that I need. 🥰❤️

Eight ads feels like a lot for one video! I enjoyed your impressions. I like a lot of Diptyques, and even the ones I think I don’t like, I get weirdly addicted to them.
I said the same thing about the ads. It was annoying. I might need to unsubscribe. I did find the review helpful, although, IMO Eau Duelle is one of the best Vanilla’s out there. So complex with the incense and smokiness. I’ll have to try some of those mentioned though.

Eau Capitale was love at first sniff for me ❤️
You should try Olene which is a beautiful jasmine bouquet with other heady white florals as well as Eau Plurielle which is a rose, even lighter than the Eau Rose, with the addition of delicate green notes. Lombre Dans Leau EDT is a very bitter, peppery green fragrance with the addition of black currant. The EDP has a tomato leaf note which the EDT doesnt have.
I totally appreciate and trust Ms. Mayes opinions on parfumes…I have so many fragrances, most based on her reviews. I just purchased a DOSSIER dupe of “Do Son” I can not wait to try it out, it was a blind buy, but I have heard great things about Diptyque’s Do Son. Thank you,.

Eau Duelle is one of my all time favorite fragrances. It pulls very incensey on my skin and then dries down to a beautiful spiced vanilla- volutes is a good second favorite.

Same here! I love how dry they both smell, and Duelle not being your typical syrupy or bakery vanilla.

Hi Sarah, you should also try Vetyverio edt from Diptyque (the edp is quite different)- it’s my signature summer scent, I love it.
I’ve had Philosykos in my wish list for quite some time, but I own the Molinard too and keep putting off buying it.. now you’ve put a bit of pressure on me! :-)

I can never smell coconut from Philosykos BUT it is in my top 5 from my entire wardrobe, there is nothing quite like it!! 😍

Great that you've finally reviewed Diptyque, its probably the most go-to mainstream reaching niche house in Europe as the price is not too high. So Tam Dao and Philosykos are absolute classics, the most known sandlawood and fig respectively that everything else gets compared to in frag community for some 10 years now. So glad the US enthusiasts have found them. I personally dislike Philosykos, its too intense, borderline head-ache inducing. I much prefer my Molinard, but really- these two are completely (!!!) different scents, different vibe, different use of fig. Just different, no worries to have both. I'm also not a fan Tam Dao and prefer other niche sandalwood scents. But its a safe bet for all fond of woody sandalwood thats not too challenging. Fleur de peau is my fave of this punch. Good molecul musky option, not impressive at first, but develops into lovely scent in 30 min.
Hi! I have only discovered Philosykos (where have I been?!) A friend handed me a decant of the edt a few days ago because she doesn't like it. I was instantly in love! used it for 3 days and finally purchased the edp. I cannot stop smelling myself it's soooo good! I get an instant feel-good feeling after every whiff❤
It is one of my favs from the house! So gorgeous! ❤️🥰

Hello Sarah if you like Fleur de Peau especially the leather in there, I could recommend you Tenue de Soirée by Goutal which is absolutely gorgeous too. I love these two perfumes 😊
There is a fragrance called Mentha by Fiele that has a super strong mint note. I got a sample of it once. Def consider checking it out. It's a super weird scent but in a good way I cant describe it, but the mint is the star and it also has some neroli and cardamom in it that compliment it beautifully.

Fleur de peau is my ultimate favorite from Diptyque.

I want a dupe of Tam Dao. I have an oil dupe but the oil don’t project so I want a spray.
I wear Tam Dao the edt and I love it. The Do Son was beautiful but not for me, too clean and turned very very green on my skin not creamy like how I get with Fracas or Quelques fleurs original. I wanted to love Philosykos but the fig was too overwhelming for me. I would love to try the rest of them 😍 you describe them beautifully
Thanks for that comparison! I’ve been loving big bodied tuberose I like Quelques Fleurs, and Fracas I’m keeping an eye out for a deal ;)

The edp version of eau rose is the exact same and soooo long lasting. Highly recommend going up in price for a beautiful fresh rose scent. I’m obsessed with it. I normally hate rose perfumes or edp versions of edt but this was spot on.

I just discovered a love for Diptyque. I have a partial bottle of Tam Dao edp coming and I’m so excited. I really want Volutes, too, and will be watching for it. The only reason I’ve hesitated with Fleur De Peau is I hear it’s so much like Glossier You, which I already have. I’d love to know how close it is to Glossier You.
Hi Sandi! It does smell like Glossier You. It’s better quality and much longer lasting on me and also more peppery. I adore it though. ❤️🥰
Is tam dao edp long lasting and how does it compare to the edt?
@@SabzAhamedbeautyfyingbeauty I’m not sure if you’re asking me or Sarah. But in my opinion the edt and edp of Tam Dao are very similar, but I chose the edp because it seemed very slightly creamier or maybe a hint of vanilla. Just my opinion :)

@@SabzAhamedbeautyfyingbeauty I can’t really tell you yet. I recently sampled them both and chose the edp as a favorite so I ordered a partial bottle that will arrive Saturday! I can barely stand the wait.
I don’t get Lipstick On vibes from Fleur de Peau at all. I detest Lipstick On, mostly due to the quick turn to syrupy notes. FDP is like a soft hug from someone wearing a warm sweater ( without being a laundry scent, if that makes sense). The notes in it are blended to perfection!
I do like it much more than Lipstick On.

Yes! Lol I got Stella in the initial spray but it did change and it doesn’t have the Amber in the base if I remember. ❤️

Yeah, they are very pricey! I found my bottle of Eau Duelle used for a good price and I think I will look for the others the same. 🥰
@@SarahMayes Sometimes they have 1oz. bottles at the Nordstrom counters for $60. That’s how much I paid for Tam Dao and Do Son. Just have to check with the salespeople. 😉 Do Son EDP and Eau de Sens are beautiful! I have Philosykos EDT. I have Olene, and I don’t like it at all. Their scents are very realistic.
diptyque house has always been hit or miss for me but I do love Volutes (Philosykos too)....Volutes has a bold pipe tobacco note that turned me off at first....once it settled I enjoyed it immensely
Hey! So I have sampled the Eau Rose last year (same sample one). and it is soooo beautiful smelling... but take note, on me and my skin it lasted at most 1 hour. And I did spray a lot on to test it because I was literally going to buy it. So give that one a good test through before you invest. And diptyque as a whole has great lasting fragrances, not sure about that one 🤷♀️
I have noticed that with Eau Rose. No lasting power. 😍
The only Dyptique I tried was Opone. Gorgeous!!! I do find then too pricey, though. Could you do a video by choosing perfume according to your mood, like perfume for when you feel happy,sad, confident, romantic,fierce, sexy (😜😉)...

Capitale they compare to portrait of a lady. You need to try volutes, one of my favourites with philosykos...
I can see Eau Capital smelling like POL without as much Rose. 🥰 I will definitely check out Volutes. 🥰

EDT and EDP can be different so I would maybe recommend adding which in the downbar. I have Eau Duelle too, but the EDP which I find to be a lot more resinous/woody and not sparkly like EDT.

I’m in Germany and I’m getting the free samples from the Diptyque counter at the local department store “ Oberpollinger” . Maybe they have them in the US at the counters selling them, like Nordstrom?
Very few perfume companies seem to do this free sample bottle, but it really gets me to buy from them and appreciate their care.
Peau is getting more fabulous/sexy skin scent as it dries down.
Besides Tam Dou, which one of these would you prefer on a guy ? I am interested in buying one from them

It's the lasting power that unfortunately puts me off... Similar to their candles, just doesn't last and unfortunately the prices don't reflect this 😕

Spray on your clothes. I can smell philosykos and lombre on my clothes the next day.
Fleur de Peau smells somewhat like to Glossier You. 😊
To my nose FdP is a LOT more powdery and in-your-face, like a statement dress with a strong floral pattern. YOU is muskier and a lot softer, sits closer to the skin like a cashmere sweater :)
