Hi Sarah. Always trust your opinions. Need your advice: I’m currently unemployed but back on the job market. Any recommendations for a great inexpensive/budget perfume? The more affordable the better. Even body sprays/mists are fine too. Fyi bath and body works is not available in my country.

I never would have thought Sweet Ash would have the Baccarat vibe to it. When I saw the juniper note, my heart skipped a beat. I’m disappointed and I haven’t even gotten my nose on it yet but I trust your opinion.

Have you tried Cuba Beauty? I plan to order it. There's just no info; it's not in Fragrantica's database. Don't know what it's a dupe for. An amazon customer said it smells very "rich", evocative of "champagne & dried roses" & the best part (for her) is the "smoky drydown".

I adore indie houses too. I love every single one you mentioned!! I purchased Black Cat from Velvet + Sweetpea after ordering a sample set. I love the chocolate-orange mix! I heard about Dr. Sweet Tooth, CJ, and Vulture Culture through your channel🖤 Some other great indie brands to check out are Coastal Carolina Parfums (I love their Iris perfume), Whisper Sisters, Love Potion Perfumes, and Lunar Life Apothecary on etsy. ❤ oh and I love carnival wax's Black Amber 2 oil. I wear it in Fall.

Also...I get confused on what really is an indie house and where the line is between indie and niche. Wouldn't you consider Untamed and Dreamhouse Ikyirio indies? And where do the dupe companies fit? Especially when companies like Cocoa Pink also do dupes. By the way, Alpha Musk is now defunct.

Yeah, that's a hard one about Kyse. I was really surprised and also glad for her, when Lucky Scent picked her line up. She still seems pretty indie to me, as a one woman show. Indies are my jam and would encourage you to try House of Nocturne Alchemy, Arcana Wildcraft, Nui Cobalt, Astrid and Sorcellerie Apothecary. ❤ BPAL, Alkemia and Solstice Scents are three of my big loves. Yeah, house of Gloi has outstanding body products.

You have got to try Amorphous perfumes. Check them out. It’s a very small Indie perfume house but you might like them. A lot of people do.❤

I love Sucreabeille . I have a roller ball and a spray of Oddling. So good. I love the names and stories that go with the scents. That's what got me to order in the first place. The scents themselves got me hooked. Looking forward to checking out the other houses you mentioned

Yes, I had my little Aquatic phase too. I wore L'eau d'Issey, Turquatic, Escape, Oblique Fast Forward, and Elysium. Love love Laila. I had a close friend in college who wore RL Polo Sport. She was a tennis player and competed around the country. I always associate Sport with her.

I also used to hate the smell of Gardenia as a kid. Now I’m a Gardenia addict. I love every one you mentioned. 

I love to rotate through different Gardenia scents. When I finish one... I move on to another. My personal favorite is Isabey Gardenia EDP. It’s just a masterpiece Gardenia. I went through my Sage oil of Moonstone, that is absolutely delicious. Again… masterpiece status.

Hi Sarah. I own Avon Candid. I have an older bottle, and it does smell very good. I was encouraged to buy it from a You Tube perfume lady. I like perfumes and like this hobby. I have buying some perfumes from E-Bay, and I look forward to receiving them in the mail and opening the packages and spraying them and thinking of the scent and learning about them. Take Care. 😊
